What spoiled our experience was with interaction with "Bartender" or perhaps manager. When our excellent waitress asked for our choice of drink, we requested the Bread and Butter Chardonnay that we'd enjoyed on prior visits. She informed that it was no longer available. OK... Her advice was Estancia Chardonnay, and we ordered one glass to try. That wine was fine. But... "Bartender" or perhaps manager visited our table to explain in detail how that wine was selected to replace the Bread and Butter Chardonnay. His table visit was also just fine as "Bartender" or perhaps manager displayed our shared passion for quality affordable wines. We went on to enjoy our excellent meal, took leftover pizza boxed, tipped waitress and departed. As we walked out past the bar, I walked near walked, shook his hand and thanked him for his insight on wines. He responded to the effect "We [our restaurant] loses money on wines, only profit from mixed drinks." To which I thought: then STOP selling wine, or stop telling customers not to buy wine!
