The food and service is so good here! Large portions, well seasoned food and tastes like a 10/10! Had the catfish, came with 4 filets, 2 sides, and a roll. Their tartar sauce is optional but made by them. Definitely try their hot sauce, has a good tang to it and not very spicy. Flat Creek has a few locations and overall they do good - but this place needs to work out some kinks. The service and speed was fairly bad on this night. But the food was all reasonable: - Chicken fried steak: gravy was under-seasoned and underwhelming. Portion size was decent. - Fried shrimp: overall, not too bad...and I'd order again. - Burger: I didn't try....but it's a burger....how bad could it be...lol. - Fries: serviceable...just nothing too special. This is a welcome surprise for our area. The effort in pulling together a great-looking interior, extensive menu, enough parking, and well-trained staff is not always available in more rural areas like ours and sometimes local businesses just don't put in the effort or have enough competition or funding to bother. Flat Creek is more typically found in large cities and areas that cater to convention and business people or travelers and tourists. This is the kind of quality we expect to see in Branson, Tulsa, Kansas, City, or even Springfield. So we are very excited and appreciative to see it in Webb City. So the decor, it's eclectic, playfully inconsistent, and gives you lots of fun things to look at. Some of it is surprisingly interesting. The host got us to a table quickly and helped us arrange things the way we wanted (we sometimes move things around when there is a group. We had four adults and one toddler. Our waitress was out to our table quickly and frequently (we sat outside which often means slower service but not today). She was helpful with the menu and answered our questions and got drinks and appetizers out quickly. We tried a variety of things so we could get an idea of what's good and everyone was very happy with their choices. We ordered ribs, catfish, cobb salad, burgers, fries, onion rings, fried okra, lobster seafood dip, and a few other things. We all ended up having food to take home. I was very pleased with the catfish and the ribs I sampled. I'm sure we will be back and this will be a place we would be proud to bring friends to, a larger group, or take business people for a dinner or lunch. BTW they were serving a group of more than 20 folks when we came in and they seemed to be handling them just fine along with everyone else. If the management read this: I hope the Bob's Big Boy out front doesn't get you in legal trouble. Wow! If you're looking for a place that has something for everyone this is it. An extensive menu and bar, everything from burgers to seafood. We went on Father's Day and the line to get in was out the door. (All you can eat fried chicken or catfish on Sunday's.) The wait staff did their best to keep up with the crowds. My husband ordered all-you-can-eat fried chicken and waited a long time for his second serving I'm sure the kitchen was backed up. It was very loud in the restaurant with lots of unhappy toddlers. We ordered and waited over 1 hour for our food. We asked our waitress how much longer and she reported back that we had 4 more orders in front of us. We left! We will never return!!!!! We had a toddler with us who became very grumpy. We had a diabetic with us. We still had to pay for our drinks. We paid $20 for soda just to wait on food for 75 minutes only to find out it would be another 20 minutes. The guy at the next table ordered a steak medium rare. It came out well done. I like to leave reviews partially to remember what I tried. Overall this is a cute restaurant and very convenient being Nextdoor to the sleep inn if you're staying there. I had the hawg and slaw. The sandwich was good. But had very little bbq sauce. They did give me a generous side when I asked for some extra. The slaw wasn't my favorite but it usually isn't. You might like it. The onion rings are great. Service great! Very sweet waitress. You're supposed to get a discount for staying at the sleep inn and I asked but didn't see it reflected on my bill. Very friendly service and food was amazing. I had the seafood four way(crab legs, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp and catfish) and the only thing that was disappointing was that the entree came out cold. I believe they were waiting on my wife's fried chicken, which by the way was amazing too. They seemed really concerned I was disappointed about the temperature of my food and they make it right.
