I gave my 2 jackets to be altered. I was told to come back in 2 weeks. 4 weeks later I get a notice that he needs an extension to following week. I come back following week (5 weeks later) only to be told he can't fix my jackets with empty excuses! FINE but why did he hold my jackets hostage for 5 weeks? I'm so happy I found this place and gave it a try. I had purchased a suit from a local store that specializes in suits and, after two attempts at having them alter the pants, they fit worse than off the rack. Not to mention the shirt they sold me was too long in the sleeves (I tried one on and was given another in the wrapping still). I had bought it for a wedding and had given up on being able to wear it. I found Samuel online and decided to book an appointment to see if I could get them fixed. It was super easy to book/confirm a time from my phone and I brought it to him 24 hours before my flight left not expecting to get it back until much later. Brought a jacket in to have the sleeves shortened. The charge was quite high, but decided to pay it as Teodoor seemed so specialized, versus the usual pinch hitter tailors at dry cleaners. The job took a long time and when I finally got the jacket and tried it on, one sleeve was shorter than the other. The tailor blamed me! Very unpleasant experience and of course the jacket is ruined. He is a bad tailor and he ruined my suit. He charged me extra to shorten sleeves to keep the buttons functional. He returned the suit damaged with scars on the fabric. It is an imported Saks Fifth Avenue suit and the fabric is made of high quality 100% imported wool so I don't know what he is talking about. I have to sue him in court. I have better things to do but he calls me a blackmailer while he is holding my suit and refusing to pay for the damage. He can keep the suit since he ruined it. Teodoor Tailor is a hidden find - literally He has a small space in a building with numbers of small work areas. If you leave a message/email he will get back to you to set up an appointment I was looking to alter a suit that had pleats and cuffs. The owner Samuel Cires is very kind and is careful with his work. He is highly experienced. This is not a place for a rush job. He took about 10 days for this work. Shocked. Amazed. Bewildered. My dress looks FANTASTIC. The hem is perfect and it's exactly what I wanted. First, I called to see if they could do a quick turnaround and they were very reassuring and asked me to book the online appointment. It was so easy! They were able to hem my dress in an afternoon!! I'm sure it's due to covid, but I would happily come back again because of how nicely I was treated and how amazing they did on the final product.
