They also have a movie theater there. The shopping and food available ranges in price from low to high. Plenty of free parking available. You must drive to get across the plaza. Tempe Marketplace is a great area to find anything you may need. I have been here at least 3 times now, and still haven't been to every shop! Granted, when I go, I am usually heading to only 1 or 2 stores in particular, but it literally has everything! Some of the stores include Old Navy, Marshalls, Target, Five Below, Ulta, World Market, and many others. I haven't even been to the side where Sephora is! The parking lot here is huge, so I never have a problem whenever I come. It's a good place to park and get your steps in for sure. I come to Tempe Marketplace--specifically The District--like clockwork every eight weeks. When I'm here to get my hair done by the amazing Rena at Toni&Guy, I usually swing by H&M, Sephora, and Victoria's Secret. There's also a great boba place right near Toni&Guy (the name always escapes me, but the drinks are solid). Other longtime faves? I used to have a Torrid credit card. I might still--note to self: check on that. And if shopping isn't in the cards, there's still plenty to do. Tempe Marketplace is a Pokémon Go buffet, with PokéStops or gyms every few steps. I once made a new friend just sitting on a bench, casually catching Pokémon. Even if you're not spending, it's a fun place to hang out. read more

Today we came here for the escape room, Escapology; another 5 star review/experience. And we got Nothing Bundt Cake. Atmosphere - Beautiful outdoor spaces, water and fire; see pictures. Splash pad. Dog friendly, etc. 1.3 square feet of retail space on 130 acres. 100+ businesses - 32 dining options, 4 entertainment options, 61 retail businesses, etc. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 6pm or 9pm, see individual businesses for their hours. Live music on Saturday from 6pm to 9pm. Service - Good. Price - Reasonable brands and prices. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2007. Looking forward to visiting at "night" to check out the "popping" scene. read more

I absolutely love this mall the entire shopping center is great. They also have a cute little splash pad for your little ones a lot of seating with shade. A big selection of stores and restaurants to choose from. A lot of parking. You can also drink alcohol outside in the designated areas as long as you have a wristband. read more

Not just a variety of shops, restaurants & bars, but it holds other surprises! Today was a dance competition between different dance crews. It's okay, but a bit overrated. There are some nice restaurants/bars and a movie theater, as well as some Big Box stores like Target, Barnes & Nobel, Ross, H&M, etc.. There are some seats to sit and enjoy the ambience, and even some nice fireplaces to be enjoyed on cold(er) nights. There are also some live bands you can enjoy from time to time. The drawback is that unless you are there for a specific place, it doesn't take long to see everything and there isn't a lot of reason to keep returning. It's definitely worth checking out but, like I said before, is also a bit overrated. read more

I probably spend more time here than any other mall in AZ because I live so close. Plus they have many places I like to frequent like Target, Harkins Theatres, Barnes & Nobles, World Market, Tilly's and Just Sports. Tempe Marketplace is an outdoor mall located along the Salt River that has an outdoor walking area called the District with several shops and a food court. Surrounding the District are several big box stores and restaurants. There is a stage with a LED video screen for live music and outdoor fireplaces. I really enjoy walking around here during the holidays when they put up lights and a giant Christmas tree in the main plaza area. Restaurant options include The Keg, Red Robin, Twin Peaks, Gen Korean BBQ, Smash Burger, Portillo's, Dave & Buster's and Thirsty Lion. Some of the giant retail stores surrounding the District are Target, Best Buy, DSW, Old Navy, Nordstrom Rack, JCPenny and Total Wine & More. Because this mall is outdoors and we live in Arizona, it can be a little hot in the summer. But it is a great place to shop during the cooler months. My biggest gripe about Tempe Marketplace is the parking lot. I don't know who designed this lot, but what a mess it can be. Especially near the Target entrance. Avoid this place around the holidays or get here early. read more

We really loved Tempe Marketplace. It's nice and open with plenty of seating throughout as well as tables to stop and eat at or hang out and chat. My family attended the lighting of the tree event last year and had a great time! We attended this year bringing additional people with a complete let down of the event and experience. Tree lighting at 8 pm was early so many people missed it. Attractions were nonexistent. My kids and friends were let down and exhausted by the lack of organization and fun. Sadly my family and many others I talked to will not attend again nor advise others to attend. The entertainment sang non holiday songs. The stores closed early. It was very apparent the team in charge was not communicating with the businesses close by. So sad to see a fun event go completely sideways. read more

One of the Valley's most visited Shopping Centers, Tempe Marketplace, as an open air, colorful and offering pleasurable walking, perusing, live activities such as music, cinema, window shopping and actual shopping during the months of the year which are conducive for humans in the outdoor Arizona temperate zone. The Marketplace offers many amenities and top tier retailers and pretty darn good dining options - from junk food to BBQ! Parents can actually sip on some nectar as they watch their kids splash in the H2O. It is dog friendly, although make sure they have booties during summer months! I was also surprised, but glad to see EV-Charging Stations available! The one thing about Marketplace's design I'm not happy with is, that although it was designed to look and feel like a village in many ways, in order to get from the main retail area to the big box and major stores area, is a dessert of a long walk parking area to be able to get to them - usually when you visit a shopping center or mall, you wish to park once. It is still a great place to visit and enjoy and kill quite a few birds with one stone. read more

I watch traditional malls struggling to keep their storefronts filled with retailers as more and more make their purchases online. Malls are no longer a place you have to go to buy something. . Therefore, malls need to offer reasons to go there and walk around hoping for an impulse purchase or ten. Tempe Marketplace does a good job doing that. My favorites are their partnerships with 93.3FM where they bring in national bands to put on free concerts. I have been to several and had a great time. They also have events like the chalk street art. In between events they often have rotating seasonal displays. Great to just enjoy or take that image for Instagram. I appreciate Tempe Marketplace's focus on the adult w with their events. Desert Ridge and other outdoor malls have their focus on grade school children hosting Disney princess events. I was just at Tempe Marketplace during this holiday season and took a few photos with the giant Candyland Gingerbread characters and I am looking forward to the return of the concerts in Spring. Pro Tip: bring her driver's license to the security area during your birthday month and get a free coupon for a scoop of ice cream at Cold Stone creamery and other discounts. read more

The District, also known as Tempe Marketplace, appeared to embody these qualities flawlessly. I couldn't discern any noticeable difference between the two, but regardless, I was greatly impressed. The cleanliness of the premises and the evident joy on the faces of fellow shoppers contributed to a pleasant atmosphere. While I do wish we had a similar setup in the Chicago area, the reality of our weather limitations is not lost on me. Nevertheless, we found a sense of tranquility as we leisurely strolled around, taking in the various offerings. Wanted to check out this big outdoor shopping area but it left much to be desired, kind of a ghost town. I was surprised how few ppl were here when I visited. Not very many options like most malls either, more of a cluster of bigger superstores like Ross and target. Did see a forever 21 and H&M though. Everybody told me this place is huge, this place is great. Meanwhile I found it to be just okay and nothing special. Outdoor shopping mall. Not many retailers whatsoever (confirmed by the directory). Very very quiet in the afternoon (during the week, at least). The retailers they do have are nothing special. This place is filled mostly with eateries and a movie theater. Not much else to write home about. Kind of creepy how quiet it was at noon. Also the parking lot is massive and we misplaced our car for almost an hour. read more

We came here on 6/29/21 and this was a nice place that had a lot of stores to go shopping and to eat at. There was a lot of parking available and we didn't have an issue finding parking. A lot of the stores were large so if you were going to walk from one store to the next then you might be better off driving especially if it was a super hot day. This market place is a conglomerate of major chain stores and unique local stores and shops. It is kind of landlocked by the 202 so you have only 3 entrances in and out. They have some high end stores and restaurants. The signage that directs you to places seems to only cater to the major stores. The smaller shops are harder to find. Tempe Marketplace is a variety of opportunities that can get very crowded. Parking can be frustrating, especially during the winter holiday season. Tip: you can take the Orbit Shuttle here and avoid trying to park. I was here in mid-December and there was someone directing traffic in the parking lot as cars inched along. Not fun! There are big stores like Target, Petsmart, Ross, Best Buy and Ulta. If you get hungry, you'll find quick and easy food as well as sit-down restaurants. In the middle are the more trendy stores that cater to the college crowd. Outside of Dave & Buster's you can find live music or other performances. Today we went to see the chalk artists working. It was 97 degrees while we walked around. Although there are misters, it's still hot. I don't enjoy outdoor places like this in the summer months, but many others do because this place stays busy. read more

This beautiful outdoor market place with piped in music and beautiful fountains, vegetation, and decorations will get you in the mood to shop. Plenty of restaurant options and stores where are you would need several hours to cover it all. Comfortable outdoor seating throughout. There's even a huge movie theater with nine different showings.
