First time...had heard about the new roof top area, which is spectacular, BUT very little service from waitress... and it took 80 minutes to get a Caesar Salad, Pork Sandwich, and the Mac n Cheese!!! It was a Sunday afternoon and there where literally only 12 other people in the WHOLE 3 floors! The sad part was that the manager/owner did nothing except a "sorry lads" when he finally brought the food and our waitress never apologized once. The food was really good, but with poor service all around it made for a very disappointing Father's Day Lunch. What sucked too... was that 60 minutes minutes in, one of the employee's father and mother where seated and the had thier appetizer AND meal served before we had time to finish ours. read more

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would ever come here. The beer selection standard (ie boring domestic drafts with 1 trendy craft beer to mix things up). The atmosphere is indecisive (somewhere between a sports bar, a cramped wannabe music venue and a reclaimed pallet wood lover's fantasy), the food is cooked in a dirty corner on the second in plain view for all to see, the crowd that generates is a healthy mix of frat boys / sorority sisters afraid to grow up, and there's a cover charge based on the flimsy excuse that a terrible folk band could start playing on stage any second. This whole place seems unfocused and poorly utilized. What could be a great mixed music venue / bar / restaurant is just a crowded mess. It only gets 2 stars instead of 1 for having a decent rooftop view. read more

The rooftop was the perfect spot to spend a Sunday afternoon. Had the rooftop salad made from ingredients grown on the roof. It was very fresh and delicious. Also had the cocktail made with coconut water, vodka, and mint, also grown on the roof. Thought the beverage was perfect. Sampled the hot wings love the hot sauce. I like my wings extra crispy, they were not but I didn't order them with any instructions. While there, a music jam session was going on in one corner of the roof. Really enjoyed the vibe and the volume was perfect for listening and still being able to socialize with with your companions. Service was fast and friendly. read more

I was visiting a friend over the weekend and we heard about the jam session at 2pm and decided to head over. She's been wanting to take me here for a long time as she loves this place. So off we go! When we arrived the downstairs was buzzing but not packed. We went upstairs anyway to pre-game before the session. The great thing is your tab travels so no matter what floor you're on, you can pick up where you left off. We met Rocky, an affable and adorable bartender. I hope he is there on my next visit! We had a beer, refilled and headed down for the session. About 10 people, including a sharply-dressed young man who couldn't have been more than 10 years old were all jamming away to a variety of songs. It was great! We ordered the cheesy bread but there is also an app called the cheese board so our bartender heard us incorrectly. Out comes an amazing cheese board and I told the server that we would still take it but it wasn't what we ordered. He insisted on getting us what we wanted and we should tell the bartender because it's cheaper. So we did and not only did they adjust the price, they comped one of our beers! I told them it wasn't necessary but thanked them nonetheless. So between the great customer service, fun atmosphere and great draft selection, I will make this a regular stop every time I visit my friend. And the menu itself looks great...there is a great vegetarian selection which is not always easy to find, especially at an Irish establishment. I can't wait to give it a shot! read more

I would like to love this place given its unique vibe, roof top deck, and good DJ. HOWEVER, I cannot get behind such terrible service. My fiancé and I went this past Sunday to watch the game and have a late lunch. I asked if the bartender had a menu, to which he replied with a curt "I guess". No smile. No welcoming. No help with the menu when we asked for opinions. He was too preoccupied with talking to his friend, who must have also worked there, as he helped himself behind the bar. And then, the friend changed the channel to a soccer game, to many's disappointment. I was a waitress for 16 years, so I understand being tired, etc. - but this guy was down right rude. What an odd place. I enjoyed my evening here, catching up with a friend, and listening to the live music - but kept thinking, "what a silly place"... It's kind of bar/music scene. Kind of hipster. And kind of "hey! They have ping pong tables!" I haven't been to downtown Lancaster in a while and Tellus 360 is an interesting addition. When I lived in Lanc, 3+ years ago, this was a neat little home goods/furniture shop. The floors and walls in this place are gorgeous, all reclaimed wood, and really neat. The space is split up into 3 bars, 2 music venues, a weird kitchen space half way to the second floor, and this awkward game room on the second floor. Bathrooms are in the basement (also, reclaimed, beautiful wood floors). I liked exploring through Tellus 360 just to see what they've done with the place. The rooftop bar is a nice touch too, although you expect to get a cooler skyline.... Inside, they have a pretty good selection of beers from Troegs to Guinness. Two of the bar tenders that I talked to were nice but not super friendly or welcoming. I kind of got the feel the whole time that I just wasn't "hip" enough to drink here... And it could totally be the case. I would go back for a drink or two, just because the building is fantastic. I don't know that I would seek out events here, the whole space is pretty loud. Oh, also, on our way down the steps from the second game room floor to the kitchen/not quite first floor area, my friend split his finger open on something sharp on the railing... He's tough, and it was "just a flesh wound", but terribly inconvenient and gross to bleed in a bar. Minus star. Maybe sand the railing down a bit more. read more

As every business you curate your service and products to a specific market, I get it. I usually never make a comment regarding race related service experiences as I typically don't come across them, however, tonight was a completely different story. I am 29 years old and have dressed and acted according to Tellus's codes since I was 21 years old. Today was the WORST day I have EVER had as my ID was scanned but yet I was denied access as they believed my ID was fake... despite the staff acknowledging that IT SCANNED in their system! I was embarrassed, I even asserted that one of the five staff members had assisted me numerous times and she denied having EVER seen me! After divulging my work place and physical home address as a means to justify my age, my party and I were then "watched" by the very staff member who denied my ID... THAT SCANNED! Tellus has changed since I first started going there almost a decade ago. I used to feel welcomed and knew the staff, now it's changed and I'm being denied entry?! The past two times me and my friends went to Tellus (both Fridays on September 13th and 20th 2019)... we are always disappointed in the DJ. Cause he SUCKS. Terrible. Just when we are about to get jiggy on the dance floor, he thinks he's pulling a slick move. He can't even play a full song and switches it up after 5 seconds per song. How can we even jam out or actually enjoy it? I'm really disappointed cause I got some fire moves in queue. I can't even finish doing a complete dougie dance. I had been hearing about Tellus for a while on my trips back home to Lancaster, and finally had the chance to go while I was visiting for Christmas. I met friends in town around 11, and encountered a bit of a line I suppose this shouldn't have been much of a surprise, given the busy time of year/people back in town visiting/Saturday night/etc. Regardless, the line moved quickly (we were inside within 10 minutes), so we paid our $5 cover and headed upstairs. The second floor was pretty cool, with various games and a lot of open space. This was a really busy night but we still had no problem finding an area to hang out, and even play some giant-sized Jenga. The bar side was a completely different story as it was PACKED. Like having to squeeze through people crowded. Even so, I still managed to get up to the bar and order within 5 minutes or so, which really wasn't bad considering the crowd. It was raining, so unfortunately the rooftop was out of the question. We did make our way downstairs towards the end of our visit to find that it had an almost club-like atmosphere with lights and a DJ playing some pretty solid music. We danced for a bit before leaving, but I think next time I would definitely make it a point to spend more time downstairs. We had a fun night and I plan to go back next time I'm in town! read more

I am a Tellus360 fan! Having lived in Lancaster for a while, I watched Joe transform this building into a very cool space to hang out in regardless of the time of year. The new roof space is beautiful. You will want to check it out. Despite Joe's best efforts (He works his ass off), the service seems to be a continuing problem. The last couple of times to the roof this summer showed some growing pains with the opening of the new kitchen. The wait staff seems to be trying but the workflow from order to table is breaking down often. Long waits, cold food, etc. But, I am going to keep trying Tellus360. When they are on point, it is a great night with music, drinks and a cool space to hang out in. Updated Review: September, 2017 Go to Tellus360! It is a really cool place with a great beer selection, cool places to hang out and a rooftop that is awesome. Just eat before you get there. The food situation hasn't been figured out yet and it just kills me. Long waits, cold food, frustrated staff, it's just not working yet. The good news is that there are plenty of other meal choices in downtown Lancaster. I had a fantastic experience here yesterday. First off the space is amazing! It's worth just walking in and checking out. All salvage interior, and each of the rooms are different and unique. While the shrimp was awesome, the peach cobbler was outstanding! After 11 the music was loud (but a good band) for my taste, but I'm picky. Worth going. read more

This is the best rooftop bar in Lancaster. Tastefully done with pergolas, garden areas, fresh herbs growing, etc. They use the mint from the roof in their mojitos. Very good drinks, decent prices. Staff is ok, not really friendly or rude. The ambiance is amazing though. There's actually several levels, each with a bar and live music on the weekends. I've actually never tried the food. Usually just come for music and drinks. Overall, excellent venue for local musicians, great drinks, and relaxed atmosphere. read more

Mega Jenga, shuffleboard, more games, and chill beats? Tellus more... We were told to check out Wax on Wednesday at Tellus if we wanted a fun night on the town. We made a quick stop at another bar and found ourselves at Tellus around 11:30. It might've been the fact that the party technically started at 9PM, or it was a Wednesday night, or the fact that it was downtown Lancaster, but there were only a handful of people at the bar, and the place was flooded with light. Aside from the lack of a crowd, Tellus was actually pretty hip. The DJ was spinning vinyls of some oldies and more chill house. Drinks are a reasonable pour, and the back of the house is filled with games galore: shuffleboard, ping pong, pool, mega Jenga, darts, and a whole selection of board games. There was a local artist doing sharpie portraits for practice, which was a fun souvenir (although mine didn't look like me at all... Sorry if you're reading this, Aaron!). I would love to see this place fill up because the vibe is definitely cool and different than the surrounding downtown. Colorful wall murals, fun music, and a "young person" crowd, I'd highly recommend stopping in one night if you're town. read more

I had a very bad experience last night with the Tellus employes. I waited in line for about fifteen minutes patiently in freezing cold temperatures to get in. When I reached the door the bouncers looked at my valid NY drivers license and began to mock me for bringing a "fake ID" even telling me that I should have payed more "next time" for a better I.D. They bent and scratched my card as well. This was my 100% valid and real I.D, I am above the age of 21 and clearly these bouncers do not know a real I.D from a fake one and have zero respect for their customers. read more

This is a cool bar with a ton of space (multiple floors). There is everything from games to live music. It really has something for everyone. Also since its Lancaster drinks aren't expensive which is always nice. I've noticed it is definitely more crowded in the winter months. I've walked passed occasionally in the summer and been in and it's been empty, so it really varies. Huge downside about Tellus is there is a cover. I'm sorry but I'm constantly traveling and don't have to pay covers in Vegas or New York then why would I want to spend $5 for a half empty bar in Lancaster. I enjoyed a lovely evening here yesterday. The inside is a cavernous space on two levels, but there is an amazing whiskey bar on the second floor. It turned out to be half price night at the whiskey bar. I had already had a glass of wine when I found the whiskey bar, so I sampled only one, the Thistle Finch Rye. It was pleasant and was smoother than I expected, but I tasted my companion's Thistle Finch Black Pepper Rye, which was spicier, and I liked it better. I would return for another half price Wednesday to be able to sample more whiskeys. The bartender was knowledgeable. I wish I had asked his name so I could give him a shout-out. I also sampled food from most of the vendors at Tellus360. Joe P's Steaks is inside the building, and the other vendors are on the roof (a cool space). Joe's cheesesteak was delicious. High quality beef. My chicken samosa from Xulbo by Bridge was the best I have ever eaten, and it paired perfectly with the tomato/tamarind/jalapeno sauce. The menu at Xulbo changes every 3 weeks, but I'm told the samosa is always on the menu. I can't wait to return for another. Mexican street corn at Tacos Del Soul was good, as were the chips with queso at Nacho Cabra. The roof at Tellus360 is a big space with a bar, the food vendors, plenty of tables, and space to move around. There's even some grass and other greenery. It could be hot on a bright summer day, but last evening it was pleasant and there was a breeze. I'm looking forward to returning to Tellus360. read more

I recently attended a rooftop wedding here. I was very disappointed to see the wait staff eating their dinner out in the open while we all were seated watching the ceremony. Several guests commented about it. Equally disappointed that all night long the wait staff was going back and forth running food through the venue to the other side where the public bar was. The staff were dressed in shorts (street clothes)...the restrooms were also in the venue so the general public came into the venue to use them. We had people who were not guests try to order drinks from the open bar. It really does not have it together for weddings. Pretty area but does not work! read more
