We'd also asked that they try to do the work with minimal dust generation, since someone was still living in the unit while the work was being done, which is difficult since mud application usually involves multiple rounds of dry sanding. Getting the walls flat without the dry sanding process is harder to do, and they still did an incredible job with it. Victor and his team delivered - to an extraordinarily level of quality, while being on time and on budget, with great communication throughout the process. We were thoroughly impressed by the level of professionalism demonstrated by the Menjivar team. Victor is sharp, astute, and experienced, and was clear and consistent in his representation of his team's capabilities and timing. We would definitely recommend Menjivar's Painting.

We were trying to paint thinking our walls were drywall, then we realized they were plaster and that we were in over our heads. BRAUSA came in and fixed everything up beautifully, patching the plaster and making our walls smooth again. The house looks brand new with the trim work and caulking too. They got the job done (about 1000 sq foot) in less than a week which was so helpful. They also updated our electrical outlets and light switches, coincidentally fixing a doorbell that apparently hadn't worked for decades. Seriously AMAZING! I will definitely be using them again for future painting projects.

I hired them to renovate my bathroom after Luis told me they had a licensed plumber and an amazing…read moretile guy. Well, the plumber and tile guy were one and the same and the day they were starting the tile, they opened up a brand new tile cutter out of the box and started reading the instructions. They used a piece of cardboard as a spacer, so as soon as it got wet, the spacing started to get funky. I also laid out a mock-up on my kitchen table of how each row of tile was to line up that they completely disregarded after the first wall was done. I came home for lunch one day and they had installed the bullnose upside down! They also used the wrong blade for the tile cutter because all the cut edges are raggedy. I'm going to have to pay someone to redo most of it one day, which will involve me replacing the expensive Italian tiles. Aside from the horrible tile work, the window casing looks like it was put together with scraps of trim and they painted everything with a roller and didn't full nail holes before doing so. They also damaged the new tub when installing the drain and damaged some tiles installing some fixtures. The drain line to the sink was installed too high, so until we can get a plumber to come in and repair it, we had to bend the metal and tape it all together temporarily just to get the drain to open and close all the way. Finally, we keep finding set screws on the floor and fixtures keep coming apart (faucet handles will come off in your hand, towel bars come loose from the wall, etc). I never pick the cheapest contractor but Luis and Antonio assured me I'd be pleased with the final product. It looks like I did it myself and I am not handy!

This also included replacing about 20 percent of the shingle siding to match the good that remained, plus certain trim in need. España Painting with Erwin at the helm, is what other service businesses should be. Professional, excellent communcation, prompt and detailed estimates, flexible with pricing options, and straight up about costs. Erwin is always open to questions and kept us informed. Justifiably proud of the work they do. Pricing is fair and competitive, and the quality is outstanding. He wants his work to last. The prep work- it is all about the prep as anyone will tell you- was thorough, and nearly dust-free. Down to bare wood or solid old finish, sanded, primed, and two coats, well-applied. No one can do this level of work without hiring and retaining excellent people, and Erwin clearly has. Victor and David were on-time, respectful of neighbors, generous with automobile covers, and did outstanding work at all levels (and floors!) Not just the painting, but the carpentry. (I have renovated several houses over my lifetime and his crew, the same as were painting, were as good as any I hired in over 40 years.) The painting was crisp and immaculate, The site was cleaned up daily and the inevitable impacts on we the occupants, was held to the absolute minimum. Our house looks as good as new and coming home gives us a little bounce. We heard of España Painting from at least two neighbors, and seeing their work made the decision for us. We are glad we did, and have recommended España Painting to others in the neighborhood.

It's an old house, so there isn't a single area that's level and there's little nooks & angles in every room, and somehow his team were able to work absolute magic and deliver a beautiful polish to every space while working with the quirks of an older home. The crew took the time to carefully cover all the floors & left the space tidier than it was when they arrived. Gabriel and his team were incredibly responsive, punctual, professional and we couldn't be happier with the end result.

The project: our house, which had inoffensive but dreadfully aged wallpaper in almost every room. Barreto and his crew arrived literally as soon as it was safe to walk on our freshly redone floors (shout-out to America Hardwood Floor Service!). The painters were very careful, put down drop-cloths to protect everything, and completely cleaned up every trace that they had ever been there. It was very impressive, considering the fact that they spent six days taking down curtain hardware, stripping many yards of wallpaper, skim-coating the walls, filling old nail holes, sanding, and repainting five rooms plus a hallway, including tons of trim and a set of stairs. They did a FANTASTIC JOB. We are so happy we spent the money on professionals instead of trying to do this ourselves - this was a big job, and it completely transformed our home, all for well under $5K. Best of all, Barreto accepts all kinds of credit cards! This was wonderful for us, since cashflow was tight due to competing home improvement projects -- we were able to put this on a card with a 0% promotion AND a cash-back offer. I highly recommend Barreto and Blessed Painting. We'll definitely be calling them again when we get around to our bathroom and kitchen renovations!

They were responsive and did beautiful work sso where did I turn when my neighbor flooded me again? This time they were not responsive and provided a bloated quotation that did not provide the quantity and size/amt information needed by my insurance. They drug their heels for two weeks and then simply stopped responding. I appreciate Yelp because I was able to find three companies able to work with my insurer's offer. I withdraw my earlier review and support for this company. Edit: I learned a few things the second time around: drywall should not have gone down to the ground, edging/trim is inexpensive readily available and costs $20/box, and the cable connector was sealed inside the wall -not cool

The job involved cutting out and replacing sections of the ceiling, patching, and handling loose insulation above, plus some added stress crack repairs. They did a thorough walkthrough upfront and clearly explained everything, which I appreciated. The finished work looks clean and ties in well with the existing ceiling. I had a bunch of minor stress cracks, and they patched and painted everything very well. They even fixed some nicks and dents from old paint jobs, which was a nice extra. The two-person crew was skilled, friendly, and very respectful of the space. There were a couple minor hiccups at the start (a payment system glitch and a delayed arrival on day one), but everything was resolved quickly. They use an online system that sets you up with an account, keeping your quote, invoice, and scheduled appointments all in one place, with simple online payment. I got multiple bids, and their pricing was very reasonable. The owner came out at the end to personally check the work and make sure I was happy. Honestly, it was a pleasure to deal with folk who take pride in their work and their reputation. Overall, a positive and painless experience. Would definitely hire again.
