I hired this company to clear 16 vents from my house that had never been done before as a result of my central ac freezing up. The HVAC company showed me the main line and it was loaded with 20 years of dog hair and he strongly suggested I use Aspen. From initial discussion to getting them to my house was seamless. The job the techs provided was exceptional. They removed so much junk, hair, plastic that the air flow improved 30% in all rooms on the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor had always been a problem with even air flow and no one spent the time to figure out why. The techs were very polite, friendly, explained in great detail what was going to happen and the price for all of it was on point. I highly recommend this company. I called ASPEN Environmental in Methuen and spoke to a salesperson that could sell you the Brooklyn Bridge. He told me he did not have to come see my home to a quote as all homes are the same. I told him I need my duct work cleaned, Filters and coils cleaned, dryer vent cleaned. The young men came to do the job and it did not even take 1 1/2 hours. They could not clean in the attic where the Filters and coils where and they cleaned the dryer vent on two min for $199.99. I couldn't believe my eyes. I was going to use them for another Mold job but would never use them again. Negative experience with Aspen Environmental / Aspen Air Duct Cleaning, DO NOT RECOMMEND. Hired to clean dryer vent, arrived on-time and finished surprisingly quick, around 20 minutes. That following Sunday we tried to do laundry and the clothes came out absolutely soaked from the dryer. Tried to run the dryer multiple times and the clothes still came out wet. This has never happened before, use to be one cycle in the dryer and came out hot and dry. We knew this was a result of the "dryer vent cleaning". Called Aspen back the next day and informed them of the situation. They said they would send someone out. Took them eventually in total 3-4 times to come out over a period of 5 weeks before it was finally fixed. We did not have a single issue with our dryer before Aspen worked on it. Not being able to wash clothes for our family, including a 7-month-old baby, for over a month is an extreme inconvenience. Any parent would know this considering how many onesies babies go through. Eventually it was fixed and Aspen sent the full original invoice. I called Aspen to try to contest the invoice due to their error of actually clogging our dryer vent and the huge inconvenience they caused us for over a month. I feel like any respectable company would admit their mistake and comp the invoice considering it was less than two hundred dollars, but no they insisted that we had to pay since they had to send out people 3-4 times trying to portray that as good service, when they had to send out their own people multiple times due to their own error. Also I did not receive one apology or admittance it was their error, they made me feel like I was an inconvenience contacting them so many times trying to get their own mistake resolved. I was informed I called them 24 times. 24 calls just for them to come out only 3-4 times. That is not efficient or "service" at all in my opinion. Eventually they cut down the invoice to an amount that is in my opinion still too much, but is the only reason why I'm giving 2 stars. We hired Aspen to clean our air ducts and seal them. We have owned the building for about 20 years and have never cleaned the ducts . When they first showed up there was some confusion with the main office as they thought they were doing a recleaning instead of a full cleaning plus the sealing. Sterling was in charge and got it straightened out and was able to clean the vents that day and came back a couple of days later to seal them. We were impressed with how Sterling and his team handled things. They were very professional, answered all our questions and did the job in a timely manner. As an asthmatic, air quality is vital for me. So I had Aspen come out to the house I bought recently in Hampstead, NH to clean out all the ductwork (including the dryer vent). They did a fantastic job. Very thorough, very professional, and provided before and after photos of the ductwork so you could see the night-and-day results. They also took apart every single floor register to clean them thoroughly, inside and out. Everything was spin-and-span clean when they were done and the whole house felt fresh. Buyer Beware!! We've had Aspen Environmental Services of Methuen MA to our house 2x to get rid of what they initially called a "Pretty Minor" mold issue. Aspen Environmental Services has made several empty promises to correct their shoddy workmanship but have yet to make good on their promise. They completely blew-off an appointment (I had to take time off to be home) and now wont return calls. Their work looks NOTHING like the before and after photos on their FB page. We had a terrible experience with Aspen. They caused damage to our property, drilled through asbestos while my 9 month old son & husband where in the house, took months to get back to us and ultimately decided that while they did drill through asbestos they don't believe they should offer us a refund and follow the states recommendation to have the area professionally cleaned. dI'd suggest to anyone to consider working with another company. In April, they came onsite and unbeknownst to us drilled through asbestos. The technicians could not complete the cleaning or the aeroseal. They forgot to close all the vents, causing aeroseal to get into the air. They triggered multiple fire alarms that they then removed and left outside overnight (these were damaged). They also did not clean up after themselves. The 2nd technicians who came onsite pointed out the asbestos and that they "couldn't touch the ducts". At that point, we realized they had already disturbed the asbestos by drilling through it and reached out to Aspen. I reached out 3-4x over the course of a month with no response. When David Smith finally called me back, they shared they didn't believe us and had to bring their inspector to our house to test. Their staff refused to send us a copy of the contract with signed or their liability insurance information regardless of my calls. Their inspector showed up, refused to take samples from the entire area saying there was some existing damage so he couldn't be sure. He also gave us an incorrect license number. Instead he say he would focus on taking samples from the ducts that were in tact which where drilled through. He took multiple samples from directly below which all tested positive. David claimed they would file an insurance claim and resolve the damage once the inspector submitted a report. The inspector said the state required a cleaning of the finished basement where they drilled and was positive for asbestos. He did not tell us that the state offered a waiver. I had to call the state to find out what was going on. After 6 more weeks, multiple calls and emails, the inspector now says he can no longer determine where the asbestos came from. David Smith called me to say given his buddy, the inspector's report, he no longer believes this is a problem, that we were overly concerned and as such they wouldn't be taking any action. Aspen doesn't deny that they disturbed and drilled through asbestos, but they are now unwilling to get it professionally cleaned as required by the state and give us a refund. After 90+days of trying to get this resolved, weeks of them ignoring us, the end is their negligence has caused a precarious situation for my family. They acknowledge causing damage, but refuse to follow through on their promise to fix the damage they caused and give us a refund. This was a super disappointing experience and every homeowners and mothers worst nightmare. If you're considering Aspen, I'd look elsewhere and save yourself the hassle. Here in Cambridge, MA, Aspen helped us with mold in our kitchen that was behind the cabinets. They were extremely prompt both in the scheduling of appointments and in showing up for them. They showed great expertise in the area of mold remediation. They were friendly, informative and polite. They managed to not destroy any of our countertops or cabinets that they had to remove to get to the mold. They worked efficiently, finishing before we expected them to, and left our kitchen remarkably clean. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to friends. Aspen did an excellent job for us. They handled our mold remediation homeowners claim after our garage flooded and seeped into the basement, ruining the wall and the carpet/flooring. The first quote from Aspen was very high and would have taken the entire amount of our limited insurance budget, leaving nothing to rebuild with. They worked with us to get the estimate down by minimizing crew and leaving things to do ourselves. They responded same day when we called, and were able to start the job in less than 2 weeks. It was completed in 3 days. They removed the carpet and wall paneling in the entire basement (something which the previous company we had for a claim 2 years ago probably should have done). The foreman was prompt and responsive in returning to tie up some loose ends, including attending to dangling electrical outlets and sanitizing some items that had been missed, and answer questions. Other than removing demolition debris, the crew did not do much to clean up or return furniture/items to their places (this may have been because of the reduced quote). Our belongings were piled up to the ceiling in the basement storage room either in plastic bins I put them in, or black trash bags, and retrieving them has been time consuming. Many loose items were dumped, not too carefully, into the contractor trash bags so we didn't know what was in them. But nothing was broken or lost. The payment was the exact amount of the quote given and paid in 3 installments. They did not collect the 3rd installment until after our 2 callbacks and we were satisfied with the job. We have tried 3 different restoration/remediation companies and Aspen has been the best. read more

We had this company come out to clean our office ductwork. We believe they had not been cleaned in about 15 years. The men showed up on time, were polite and professional and did an outstanding job. They also found that one duct was not connected properly exposing insulation that must have been blowing in to the air, causing allergy like symptoms. They fixed that too. I had Aspen do our duct cleaning and sealing, at the recommendation of my furnace company. Initially, I had buyer's remorse as the service turned out to be quite expensive - and the salesman was a very "high pressure" sales type. Then, when they showed up the two technicians seemed awfully young and seemed potentially inexperienced - moreover, their equipment broke and they were here in my house for about 12 hours until the manager could come to help fix the issue and the service could be completed. Having said all that, though, the results have been great. We get more heat to the upstairs than at anytime in the 20+ years since we have lived here. Previously, in our little cape, the upstairs was always too hot in summer and too cold in winter. I am only 70/30 on recommending Aspen, but I really can recommend getting the duct cleaning and sealing performed if you have an older HVAC forced hot air system. Jim in NH read more

This company deserves 6 STARS!! What a great company! I had them come to clean air ducts which hadn't been cleaned in 6 years and little black particulates were coming out of the ducts. The crew was terrific and very professional, cleaning all of the vent covers, as well. After they left, I noticed a small gouge in my ceiling, near a vent, and found that there were still particulates coming out when the system was running. When I called the company, I was put in touch with David Smith, who was SO helpful! First, he apologized for the gouge and arranged to have someone come out to repair it. Then, when I told him about the continuing particulates, he explained that that wasn't unusual, the cleaning having "shaken up" the air in the ducts, but that if it continued for more than a couple of days, I should call him directly. It did continue and I called David, mentioning that I'd had a ceiling flood 4 years prior, and I was now concerned that I might have to replace all of the ductwork, if there was so much mold that an initial cleaning couldn't remove it. David was very reassuring, said that it was EXTREMELY unlikely that I would have to replace the ducts, and told me that he would send a crew out to clean a second time, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Yesterday, the crew arrived and, after examining the system, found mold in the flexible tubes (likely, it came about as a result of the moisture in the system after the flood), and HAND-WIPED the affected tubes with rags, leaving them mold-free. Again, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! I paid only the initial residential fee of $649! PLUS, David had me contact the ceiling painter (it was newly painted in March) so Aspen could match the paint (both brand and color), EXACTLY!! These guys are over-the-top spectacular! Do not have this company to inspect your septic system! They are not doing the job right! We bought a house and living here for couple of months and we had massive overflow from first floor toilet. I called them to get information regards to the inspection it was done from them but no one called me back because they know what happened to us is their fault. We thought the septic tank was full so we called another company and explained the whole thing. When he dig holes and inspected everything, he said the other company (aspen environmental) didn't check because if he did, he would not see this big clog which can't be happen in two months. Also, the tank supposed to be empty after the inspection was done but it was not. If you need your septic tank inspection, call some other company who does inspection and cleaning because they will not come back and check if the owner empty the tank or not. Not even! They don't know what they were doing!! You don't want to experience the same thing! read more
