The owner of this insulation business has been doing business for 10 plus years. He was cordial and polite with his responses. Well let me tell you, I am glad I used fast insulation. Him and his team came in early today which was Saturday morning and knocked out the project in 4.5 hours. There workmanship was absolutely awesome and professional. I had them buy the insulation and products to do the job as this is there business and they know what to get and order based on the square footage. They got to my house and from beginning to end they never stopped working. I made them breakfast and brought it to them as they never stopped working and figured they deserved some good energy food to continue the good work ! There price was WAY better then any of the other companies. They took the job and showed up on time and completed the work. My attic was warm and cozy within hours of them leaving. Insulation is the way to go if you don't have it . I am sure my fuel bill will go right down now and my heat will stay in my house and not out . I research and price out anything I have to do to my house. This company truly will do a fantastic job ! I give them 5 stars 100 percent ! Again, all the other companies prices where way higher then any of the others. The bottom line is there work is neat and they come and do a professional job. My wife was extremely happy with the work ! I myself could not be happier ! I took before shots and after shot pictures to show the great work that this company did !

As other reviews mentioned, Curtis and his crew carefully protected our (brand new) hardwood floors with lots of tarps, threw plastic over furniture and vacuumed after each day of work. Our home feels so much warmer and I am already seeing savings in my gas bill! I couldn't be any happier with their work.

I had 12 windows installed by American Building Technologies, and this was one of the worst…read morecontractor experiences I have had. The installation crew itself was excellent--hardworking, polite, and professional. My issues were with management, particularly Jose. We agreed on a specific brand and style of windows, including three large living-room windows. When the order arrived, I was told they could no longer do the three large windows, but the price was not reduced. I was told the remaining windows would be installed and the large ones reordered. When the windows came off the truck, I immediately noticed they were not the brand we had agreed to. I contacted Jose and found him dismissive and disrespectful. Because my old windows had already been removed, I was told these windows would be installed and the correct ones ordered later. An inspector was then sent as though the job was complete. Every installed window failed inspection because the required safety glass was not used. The proposed solution was to replace only three windows and apply safety film to others to meet code. I am now left with windows that were not what I agreed to purchase, that failed inspection, and an unresolved dispute over the correct windows and pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend American Building Technologies. I am also very disappointed that Mass Save refers homeowners to this company.

After buying our first house, my wife found BK Home Improvement on Yelp as we were searching for a…read morecompany to repair some siding, replace basement windows and remove some old insulation. I was skeptical at first but after talking to Bill, he quickly earned our trust and respect with his responsiveness and can-do attitude (and the website and recent/positive reviews on Yelp). Bill's estimate was very fair and prompt, so we went with Bill, and the positive Yelp reviews turned out to be true. It was easy to communicate with Bill, and he checked with us about new window availability and preference. Bill had a friendly and professional team with Mike and Marie, and they got the job done in one day. Bill also replaced a damaged flood light bulb and helped me find the right color paint without me asking. I also like to try to get involved hands on during the project, asking questions, helping with the clean up and lending a hand where I can, and Bill was cool with that. Based on my first home project, I would say BK Home Improvements is a reliable company to do business with. I feel lucky to have met them (thanks to my wife!) and we are very satisfied with the results. Looking forward to our next project (kitchen counter and some cabinet modifications)!

He gave his honest opinions of what could be replaced and what the rough costs were for each component plus labor. He also explained what he thought was the best option to keep our current system running at it's best, which I chose to do. He re-gassed our unit and added a startup capacitor which seems to have done the trick! The outdoor unit kicks on easily, runs quiet and consistently now. And of course the AC blows ice cold now. He even gave recommendations for future maintenance for not only the AC unit but the boiler as well. I can't recommend Total Comfort Mechanical, and James, enough!
