We had finally decided that we did not want to get the clapboards replaced and repaint the house so vinyl siding was the logical choice. One thing we did not want was to have the typical vinyl sided house with white trip. EVERY vinyl sided house has white trim. BORING!! We wanted to keep the same basic color scheme so I began the chore of finding the proper contractor to do the job. I called several companies. Often you can tell by the presentation of the first meeting if they are going to do good work. This was the case with Quinn's Construction. The first contractor was like a used car salesman and was clearly over its head. While being the lowest quote, it was clear the work would be subpar. The second contractor was much better but lost out since they could not find the proper materials to do the job to my satisfaction. Quinn's Construction took ample time to listen to my wants and provided several options to accomplish the goal. They were the highest price but it was clear that you get what you pay for. The crew was professional and prompt. The work was done over the end of winter. We provided our garage to the work force to make life best for all. Some minor issues had to be dealt with but we came to a fair agreement and the work was done as desired. The attention to detail was great. From the trim around the roof line to the address number box and the doorbells, this was done properly. The bay window required some additional work but it was done well. Was encouraged to have them come out to give a quote on replacing the siding on my home and after reading the reviews was pretty hopeful. Spent 10-15 minutes on the phone walking through what I have, wanted, location, am I who owns it, do I make all the decisions, etc... and that I would get a call to set up an appointment. After no contact, I reached back out again and was told, "Sorry, we don't have you in our system." They did offer to take all the information down again, but that doesn't seem hopeful for a large sized job. Hopefully my interaction was just a one-off. read more

Tom Quinn and his team did a great job replacing the aluminum siding on my house with vinyl siding. They were very thorough and made sure the job was done right and minor repairs (a couple of screens) were taken care of. He and his project manager Dave kept the communication lines open. Fast, efficient and effective. Quinn's team showed up, tackled my large roof and two outbuildings and had the job done in a day and a half. The team was professional, respectful and very skilled at what they do. I had two areas on my garage roof that needed repair and they did an excellent job. They also not only removed and replaced siding on one dormer area in order to install flashing, they also repaired a few additional nearby pieces of siding with older damage that were nearby. The new shingles look great and I'm happy with the quality and the included guarantee. I got about 7 estimates for my roofing job and Quinn's was in the top third as far as price, but we were completely convinced by the quality of the materials, the knowledge displayed by the quoting team and the professionalism displayed all around. I have never been more satisfied with a construction company and the work done. From the beginning I knew Quinn's was different. My call was promptly returned and an appt was made for Dick to come out and look at the job. My home is large with multiple dormers and porches. This was not a five minute walk around quicky estimate. Dick already had satellite images of my home, and had done a lot of preliminary work. He inspected my attic and eaves for any possible leaks or damage, and to check insulation for venting recommendations. We went over all my options and there was no hard push to sell more than needed. I was given a folder with insurance, and licencing information, as well as insurance agent contact info. Included was other jobs done and reviews from actual customers as well as warranty info, and info on training done by all Quinn's workers. Of four companies brought in for an estimate, Quinn's was the only one to provide this information. My elderly mother and I met with Dick three times before we decided on final project. Tom was always available to come by or call. They were very patient with my mother, and her concerns and worries after a previous contractor had taken advantage of her. They had a port a potty brought in, and were careful to not further damage my already damaged driveway. The crew sent out (Eric's) was amazing. They covered everything, built covers for my mothers flowers and plants, covered our rubber roof and railings on master porch, and cleaned and organized everything at the end of everyday. They walked my mother around and showed her the progress daily. They never made her uncomfortable at all, and made her safety a priority. Really, I can't say enough about how great they were. Tom and Dick and the project manager were here often to check on the job. The price was beyond fair, and the warranty is the best in roofing. They removed two layers of roofing and 2 Layers of siding, and replaced the rotting boards. The window caps that previously leaked were done well. We have had no leaks since the job was completed from the windows or roof. I can't say enough how happy and satisfied I am with Quinn's Construction. Recently, I was looking for a contractor to help with some siding that had fallen off my house. Using a community Facebook page, Quinn Construction was recommended by a few folks, who had used them in the past. I called each company that was suggested to me that very day (Saturday May 5). I explained that the job was probably a small one, but that I had some exposed parts to my house, and was concerned with any water with Spring rain that may come, and, additional wind, possibly pulling off more siding panels. I got a call back from Quinn on Tuesday, May 8, and here is where my review goes south. The woman who called me asked again for all the information that I left on my original message. She then let me know that she had no idea when someone would be able to get out to see my project, and that the boss is the keeper of the schedule. She said she would text him and ask that he CONSIDER calling me to see if he would be interested in even LOOKING at the job. To date, I have not received a call. I realize it is a small job, and probably not very lucrative or interesting, HOWEVER, I do not understand the point of having an office person call me only to tell me that she can't really help me schedule an estimate,and, in fact, I'd need to wait to see if the boss deemed my project worthy enough of a call. Its a busy time of year, and there are bigger jobs than mine, but the dismissive nature of this entire thing has soured me on this company. read more

We had Quinn's Construction put a new roof on our house. The original was 27 years old and deteriorating. He (Tom Quinn) was prompt and very professional in providing us with a quote, explaining the various options and answering our questions. The contract was complete, very clear with no "grey areas" on what work was to be performed. The crew that did work were excellent. I used Quinn's Construction to put a new roof on my home in North Andover. I got five different estimates, and chose Quinn's after meeting with Tom. He put together a very professional proposal with a detailed diagram of my roof and a full explanation of what was to be done and what materials would be used. He was very personable and listened to our concerns regarding gutter locations and venting. During the process Tom was accessible and patient about doing the job when it was convenient for us.
