I spoke to several roofing companies, and had quotes from two other companies before going with Brian. I knew after our first meeting that he would do the job we wanted done and complete the work at a fair price. We knew our roof was not installed properly (told to us by another contractor fixing some issues at our house), when the house was built. No other roofing company was willing to do the work we wanted done (like pulling the siding where it met the roof), to check for potential problems except Exterior Home Services. Even though it was an additional cost to us, we also wanted Grace Ice and Water Shield installed the first 6 feet and around the problem areas of our roof. Other roofing companies told us if we did this it would make the roofing warranty null and void. We also couldn't seem to find a roofing company that offered additional higher grade shingle options. Not true with Brian -- our roofing warranty is in place and we were able to use a upgraded shingle. Brian made two trips to our home. First to scope out the job and then he returning with shingle samples so we could compare our top two choices before he placed the order. He really went the extra mile for us. The guys on his crew were at our home early each morning 7 am, and worked late 6-7 pm, for 3 full days to complete our roof. And, they took care to put the roof on correctly -- something that wasn't done when our home was build. They showed us when there was a problem and when a potential area of concern for us was fine. The crew did a terrific job at cleaning up the end of each day and getting those nails up too. So important for us with two dogs that go outside. The guys working at our home were respectful to us and our home. They took care with my landscaping and gardens -- covering my shrubs when removing each section of the old roof. I appreciate that extra step, and it's not something all roofing companies will do, but really should be doing. Exterior Home Services was the only roofing company that did not require 1/3 to 1/2 down upon signing the contract. When Brian said that, I knew he was going to be honest to deal with and really cared about his business and doing a good job for his clients. He's in it for the long run -- not here today and gone tomorrow, like so many roofing companies out there. Exterior Home Services did a fabulous job on my roof and gave me exactly what I wanted. Brian communicated throughout the entire project, visited the work site everyday, and was a pleasure to work with. We hired Brian to replace the existing siding on our home on the recommendation of one of our friends. We also received 2 quotes prior to hiring Brian, and his was the most competitive. Even before we had decided to go with him, he was extremely helpful and responsive to all my questions. I had a lot of questions about the different types of siding and whether to go with PVC or aluminum trim. He never tried to persuade me to go with more expensive products but offered the pros and cons and a complete price breakdown of the different options. On the day his crew started, they were here promptly at 7am as promised. They worked 12 hour days for over a week until the job was completed. They were one of the most hard working crews I have ever met. They barely took a break during the day! They were friendly, polite and perfectionists when it came to their trade. I'm very particular about the work that's done on my home, so for me to say that is a big deal! They cleaned up our yard every evening before leaving and always asked if I had any questions or anything that I wasn't happy with. The guy in charge of the crew, Rodrigo, was really on top of his game and spent most of the time walking around and making sure everyone was doing exactly what they were supposed to be. We knew we were in good hands with him! Brian also kept in touch during the whole process to make sure I was happy with the progress and to see if I had any questions. Brian and his team are absolutely wonderful! I am a first-time homeowner and bought a house knowing it needed some major work; including new windows, a new roof, and new siding. I interviewed several contractors and Brian was by far the most responsive and easiest to work with. He came out and did a walkthrough providing a detailed estimate and various options for the roof, siding, and windows. He answered all my questions and always responded to me emails. Once the contract was signed he was even completely ok with me changing my mind regarding the color of the siding last minute. He made the whole process a breeze. The entire install took about a week and his team was amazing. They showed up when they said they would and always had smiles and pleasant demeanors. Each night they cleaned up before leaving and I was happily surprised by how hard everyone worked and how dedicated each and every team-member was. The workmanship was outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone. We hired Brian to replace our roof, corner trim boards and some very difficult windows which had to be new construction type. His prices were very reasonable. Brian and Carole were very helpful answering the many questions I had. One of the things that stuck out with them is they did not want to be paid the last 5% until 30 days after the job was complete to be sure the customer was satisfied. No one does that! The roof was the first phase to be done. The crew of 5 guys came out. They protected the house and the landscaping very well. They worked hard for two days and got it done. They did a great job cleaning up the site after each day. A few weeks later Brian's carpenter Chris started on the windows. He also worked very hard. He stayed until the job was completed. He communicated with us very well about what times to expect him. He worked with us so we could paint the siding ahead of time that had to be replaced for the windows. Brian uses a Harvey Windows which are very good locally manufactured energy star windows. With a job of this size problems arise. Brian took care of any problems that came up. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the siding installation service provided by Exterior Home Services in Wakefield, MA. In September 2020, they installed a siding product (Certain Teed / Saint-Gobain) that started to degrade within just 2 years, with severe warping that's progressively getting worse. Despite their advertisement as a CertainTeed / Saint-Gobain 5-star contractor, they have failed to honor their warranty and provide any meaningful support. The manufacturer, too, has ignored my requests for assistance, leaving me with a defective product and no recourse. Their website, www.bangsomenails.com, boasts of their expertise, but my experience tells a different story. When I reached out for assistance, they suggested asking my neighbors to replace window screens, which is unrelated to the issue at hand. I'm very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of accountability and customer support from both Exterior Home Services and the manufacturer. We highly recommend this company! We had our house sided, new gutters and shutters installed, and a few windows replaced. Brian and his crew are fast, reliable, honest, trustworthy and reasonably priced. They started and finished when they said they would, were polite, careful and clean. I can't say enough about Brian and his team. Last year, his team updated our house siding, and they did a great job! All of Brian's' crew were professional, they explained everything so we weren't confused, and completed the work very quickly, with excellent clean-up. I invited several contractors out to review and bid on our roof. Brian was warm, friendly and honest. He gave us a few options, walked me through the different materials and made the entire process very easy. His quote was almost $2000 less then a quote we received the day before using the same materials. When his team arrived they were prompt and they had everything done in 1 day. I walked around this weekend and they did a terrific job cleaning up. Yesterday our neighbor even mentioned how great our roof looks and how it was a professional organization. We did our homework and spoke with 7 installers. We were looking for a combination of price, past customer satisfaction, and the product knowledge of the person we would be dealing with directly. Wow. This company is fantastic. I found them on google and had to write a yelp review for them in gratitude to how "above and beyond" they went for us. First of all, the quoted us 60% lower than what another roofer had quoted us for a patch and they gave us a whole new half-roof! Second, they always showed up when they said they were going to and were quick to respond to phone calls and emails. Lastly, they were polite, professional and did an excellent job. The guys sent out to patch up the final rotted boards around our roof added a customized fix at the last minute that will keep our siding from ever rotting again. I am so pleased! read more

Brian was forthright and easy to deal with, and his roofer team was prompt, hard-working, and professional. They maneuvered a monster dumpster into our driveway (almost no clearance and no problems), removed three layers of old shingles, added a complete layer of plywood (our old house had never had one; only three layers of shingles had kept the attic dry), replaced squirrel-chewed rake boards, cleared/covered the gutters, and re-shingled the entire roof -- all in about fourteen hours. I recently purchased a multi-family and found out the roof had been leaking worse then I thought. There was mold growing on the ceiling of the 3rd floor apartment and I had to act fast. This company is absolutely top shelf. They were recommended to me to replace a roof by a neighbor who had recently contracted them for a similar job. Brian came out to my house, gave me a very honest quote with no pressure whatsoever (as opposed to others with whom I had spoken) and I hired him on the spot. Had to replace an old roof that was leaking on a two family with a high VERY pitched roof. They were professional and thorough - they added a ridge vent and some of the boards had to be replaced as well. We marveled at the crew's work ethic - very few and short breaks - even eating lunch onsite. I'll report back in the spring but I assume our leak issues are over.
