Don in sales patiently walked us through our options for shingles, ice water shield, skylights, venting, and gutters. Was very thorough and was not pushy. Cost was in similar reasonable range to some others but with better materials and an all star team. Team came in and completed a 2nd and 3rd story roof with gables, skylights, venting, flashing, gutters, etc in a day. After an unfortunate ice dam that they helped remove, they went above and beyond by redoing the area with new vent, ice water shield, and shingles to ensure they did all they could to prevent reoccurrence. Highly recommend for any roofing needs!

I screened over ten contractors before hiring. He provided me one of the best estimates even though it was over my budget. I actually knew of John's company from my time living in Woburn as his house was not too far from my old house. I can't say enough good things about John. He has been in the construction industry for over 50 years and his attention to detail is evident when speaking with him. Most general contractors/builders try to rush to get the job done so they can move on to their next project. Not John. He and I were in constant communication and he made sure I was happy and informed on progress. He has a few guys Rocco and Gary who are very nice, hardworking, and amazing craftsman. John's subcontractors for framing, roofing, siding, insulation, plaster, concrete, flooring, all did a great job too. The work was professional and clean. As the owner, even John got his hands dirty in building my deck and used his tractor to excavate the deck footings. I highly recommend John's company for any construction and renovation work on residential and commercial properties. We recently had our roof replaced by Refined Roofing from Refined Home Services. We made a…read morehorrible choice. LIke many people, we rely on customer reviews and word of mouth when hiring for home projects. Despite being the most expensive option, we chose Refined Roofing after relying on other customer reviews. A huge mistake! In short, do not hire Refined Roofing because of their lack of site management, their lack of professionalism, and their deceitful behavior. We live in a neighborhood where houses are close to one another. We were concerned about the impact of our project on our neighbors and made this clear to Refined Roofing at the start. We were promised careful site management from a site supervisor, with a specific promise to tarp the area, including the neighbor's yard, to capture all debris. NO supervisor was on site during the actual execution of the project. As the photo shows, the area was INADEQUATELY tarped, debris was carelessly spewed all over our property and our neighbor's. When supervisors finally visited the site, they promised to repair the neighbor's yard. Once I paid my bill, they refused to make good on their promise. Additionally, the actual workmanship was sloppy. Among other things, they knowingly applied broken shingles to the new roof and did not apply a promised second coat of rubber in one area. Furthermore, the owners of Refined Home Services, Gino and Karen, were rude, dismissive, and dishonest when confronted with the facts. They denied that there was any debris mismanagement or damage, despite the photo proof included here. While the company replaced the broken shingles and finally cleaned up the initial mess, they refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused and left us in the uncomfortable situation they created with our neighbors. In short, Refined Roofing lacks quality of service, integrity, and decency. This company is not worth hiring ... ever.
