I give this company 5 stars on so many levels. I picked them off google based on internet reviews and from start to finish, they could not have been more accommodating and professional. The job to be done, mold remediation and duct cleaning. I had mold in my basement...I could see it and I could smell it. Tim showed up at the house, on time, for the initial consult and after evaluating the basement he suggested an air quality test inside and outside for comparison. It was sent to a lab in MI and less than a week later, the tests came back . I had high levels of 2 molds and one was highly toxic. This was problematic as Thanksgiving was only weeks away and I was cooking for a group. The job was HUGE as the entire basement content had to be removed, cleaned or thrown away. I was also worried worried about my 1st floor as I was always in the basement and feared I had carried mold spores up with me. I had another air test and the 1st floor was not a problem. Long story short, they fit me into their schedule and did everything needed to complete the project in time for me to host T-Day. Once I cleaned out most of the basement, Javier (Javi) did all the work. He lugged furniture, ripped up rugs, took down drywall, cleaned remaining stuff, did the 3 anti-microbial spraying and other stuff I know I have forgotten all while working quietly, politely, respectfully and professionally. He was a pleasure to speak with and answered all my questions. Nothing seemed to be a problem and he calmed me down with his calmness. He showed up on Sundays and showed up at 5pm after working all day on another job! Joe DeSantis was my phone contact person and it was a pleasure working with him. He was easy to reach, courteous, professional and compassionate. I give him 5 stars for customer service! So in closing, I say Powerbees were excellent 5*, they went above and beyond, 5*, they cared how I felt about getting the house cleaned up for T-day 5*, customer service 5* Professional 5*, Responsive 5*, trustworthy 5*, on time 5*, courteous 5* , completed as promised 5*. Having never had my HVAC ducts cleaned before, I did a lot of research and had 3 companies come out to give me estimates. One was WAY high, the other two pretty close to each other. What it came down to was the guys who came to the house to do the estimates as well as my communications with each one over the phone. My conclusion? PowerBees hands down. They gave me the impression they really cared about the job. However, who the heck knows until they are in your house doing the job, right? Bottom line, Nate and Harvey (I think) who came were excellent: very professional, worked diligently until the job was done, came to me when they found something that should be addressed, showed me what it was and explained what should be done and why. No B.S. The "estimate" was exactly what I paid. PowerBees did a GREAT job from start to finish. I recommend them highly. One other thing, they were all exceptionally good at calling to confirm arrival time, which we had to change a couple of times, but at least they told me and kept me updated as to when they would be here. I wrote a great review of this company last month and for some reason...it was taken down after a few weeks. I feel obliged to repost a review because this is an excellent company that deserves business and recognition. Yelp you better not take this one down! Nobody is happy when they find out they have MOLD in their home. Least of all, when you are in the middle of the sale of your home. But this is what happened to me last month. I called Powerbees of Wayland, and Tim, a mold specialist was over at my home checking out the situation and testing that very same day. His expertise and calmness about how they could and would fix things, instantly put me at ease. The bid came in lower than I had feared, and Jonathon- the person who I usually talked to on the phone- coordinated the remediation services around my schedule. Javier and his team are the ones who worked on my home- over a 2 day period. They were professional and courteous. All in all, Powerbees made a bad situation...not feel so bad anymore. I just purchased a new home and called PowerBees to come clean our air duct system. My daughter has asthma, so this was really important that this was done, and done well. The setup was easy and they were very professional over the phone. The house is empty so I felt comfortable giving them our lock box # to come in and clean while I was at work. I went to check on the work done and 5 lights were left on and my door was unlocked! I checked several duct systems by pulling the galvanized sheet metal apart at some connection points. I looked inside and did several wipes with my hand and they were filthy. Nothing suggested that anything was even cleaned within the system. I guess its my fault for letting them do the job while I was at work and not being there to verify the work is being done. Lesson learned. I have now called twice to request a receipt breakdown for the work done, several days later and still no response. read more

Absolutely no homeowner is happy when they find out they they have mold in their home. However, once I accepted that fact and called Powerbees of Wayland, the process was easy, streamlined, and painless. First I met Tim who does the actual testing to confirm whether or not it is mold..he could not have been nicer and he explained the process for removal should the test come back positive in such a way that instantly I felt a bit relieved. Indeed, the test was positive and Jonathan helped get me scheduled for immediate remediation. The price came in lower than I had feared and within two days- they had taken care of the issue with Javier and a great work crew. I'm a new home owner so I have little to rely on except others' recommendations, including yelp. So I picked this company as somewhat of a shot in the dark. I knew the previous owners of my home didn't clean out my dryer vent during the entire 10 years they lived here. Needless to say, there was a lot of link trapped in there! The people at PowerBees were friendly and accommodating on the phone when I scheduled and in person. They were right on time. They removed a ton of lint from my dryer vent, cleaned up, charged me as quoted (I called a few places, these prices were comparable, I think even a little less expensive). Great customer service! I called about a blocked (very long) dryer vent and was assured they could fix the problem. The blockage (surprise!) was caused by a bird taking up residence in our open vent- the technician removed the bird, its nest and accumulated debris from the vent both outside the house and inside the laundry room. Great job at mold remediation and air duct cleaning. This company will actually call you back and get you a written estimate. They came within a few days of my initial call.
