We hired España Painting to prep and paint the exterior of our over 100 year-old house, all siding and trim. This also included replacing about 20 percent of the shingle siding to match the good that remained, plus certain trim in need. España Painting with Erwin at the helm, is what other service businesses should be. Professional, excellent communcation, prompt and detailed estimates, flexible with pricing options, and straight up about costs. Erwin is always open to questions and kept us informed. Justifiably proud of the work they do. Pricing is fair and competitive, and the quality is outstanding. He wants his work to last. The prep work- it is all about the prep as anyone will tell you- was thorough, and nearly dust-free. Down to bare wood or solid old finish, sanded, primed, and two coats, well-applied. No one can do this level of work without hiring and retaining excellent people, and Erwin clearly has. Victor and David were on-time, respectful of neighbors, generous with automobile covers, and did outstanding work at all levels (and floors!) Not just the painting, but the carpentry. (I have renovated several houses over my lifetime and his crew, the same as were painting, were as good as any I hired in over 40 years.) The painting was crisp and immaculate, The site was cleaned up daily and the inevitable impacts on we the occupants, was held to the absolute minimum. Our house looks as good as new and coming home gives us a little bounce. We heard of España Painting from at least two neighbors, and seeing their work made the decision for us. We are glad we did, and have recommended España Painting to others in the neighborhood. read more

I was a very difficult person to commit to the job but Erwin was great. He was easy to communicate with. Was clear giving me a bid and scope of work. He was reliable and showed up and was professional. I decided not to go through with the plaster and painting job because I was indecisive but I would recommend Espana Painting. read more

The guys were responsive, flexible, and most importantly really good at what they did!

If your looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, communicative contractor Erwin is on point! His team is top notch and does quality work! We've used Erwin and his team twice in the last five years and we will definitely be using them again. Erwin is a great communicator. We were worried that our small job wouldn't interest anyone, but he was happy to help. They were able to fix some damaged parts of the ceiling for us and the paint looks great. The painters are quick, very polite and quiet. They also clean up well and arrive on time. The bedrooms still look great after four years and our new bathroom looks amazing! Highly recommend you reach out to Erwin. read more

Very diligent and meticulous team - met and exceeded deadline. Great communications and always on time.

We hired Espana Painting to prep and paint the exterior of our 120 year old house. Erwin provided us with a detailed quote outinling all aspects of the job and at a very competive price. Throughout the job, Erwin was responsive to any and all questions or concerns we had. His crew showed up every day, on time, and were very conscientious of protecting our trees and plants. They did a good job cleaning up every night. The prep work was better than what I expected which gave us a great finished product. I spent over 30 years working for a general contracting company and a property management firm and I can honestly say Espana Painting is as good as anybody out there. SG Brookline read more

Erwin and Espana Painting just completed painting the entire interior of the condo I just bought as well as staining the kitchen cabinets and doors all of which needed quite a bit of work. What an excellent job they did, looks great! Erwin was responsive and knowledgeable from the start quickly providing me with a detailed quote after seeing the space in person. Espana Painting impressed me with their quality of work, communication, timeliness, very fair pricing and pride in their work. No question, I would definitely hire this company again! read more

I had a leak from the person upstairs and it destroyed my ceiling. I used trusty Yelp to find some good options for someone to do the patchwork and repair. I got a few estimates. The first two I tried were duds; one guy never sent me an estimate after looking at the place. Someone else flaked. Espana Painting came quickly to give me an estimate and gave me a good price. They were able to rush to get my entire ceiling repainted within 2 days and it looks great. The guys did a great job covering everything with plastic and moved all the furniture around to accommodate the job. They cleaned up super well despite all the dust. I didn't realize drywall and painting kicked up so much dust. The team was very quiet while working, which was helpful because I had to work at home those days, right off the area where they were working. Sometimes workers blast music while working and it can be disruptive to others, but this team did not do that! I would really go with this company again in the future. The owner was very responsive as well. - On time - Worked quietly - Were very clean - Great price - Responsive to text messages and phone calls 10 stars! read more

We recently did an update on the house did some painting on trims and windows. We were satisfied with the outcome. Espana's team showed up on time and were very professional. After the work was done they cleaned up and made sure to wipe the areas they were working around. Very response would recommend for drywalls and paint. read more

Erwin and his crew were excellent on all levels! My wife was hoping to have a large paint job done before hosting Thanksgiving and Espana painting came through! Erwin gave us a very fair price quote. His crew was extremely professional and very neat. They were at our home for three days and did everything to accommodate our families needs. Espana was able to fix an unsightly crack in our ceiling which you can no longer see. Our ceiling was over 15 years old and in need of a paint job. The crew did a full day of prep work, filling past dents and wall damages. Erwin was great about helping us pick out paint (color and sheen). Espana crew was on time or early for all three days. All of the furniture that could not be moved was covered in plastic and the floors were completely covered in paper and tape to keep it clean. At the conclusion of the job you wouldn't have even known they were there and everything was freshly painted and clean. We were extremely happy with Espana painting and will definitely use them again!!! read more

If i could rate Erwin and his team a million stars I would. He quoted me a fair price and before beginning work, he walked me through the property and set expectations for what was and wasn't feasible. I had really bowed walls that unless there was a total wall replacement, it would be hard to hide. Long story short, you can't notice any bowed or wavy walls. I had him paint my condo head to toe, including the cabinets and they finished EARLY! He coordinated other repair people I needed, like a plumber which really helped me not have to take time off work. I trusted Erwin and his team with a key to my condo and put full faith in him. Before the job was finished, Erwin had me walk through the condo and make sure everything was to my liking. Damage caused to the drawer by the countertop company? No issue, Erwin fixed it without me even asking. He is fantastic and has completely transformed my condo. Thank you so much, Erwin!! read more

We have had painting done in our apartment three times over the last six years, and Erwin Espana has come through for us every time. He gave us a reasonable estimate of cost and time, and fulfilled all of his promises. His painters are all professional and careful - always showed up on time and ready to work. I can't say enough about their great care, attention to detail, and consideration. The crew took great care with our stuff, and did the most exacting prep work possible. To our surprise, they cleaned up everything when they finished, including mopping the floors, putting the furniture back in place, and even re-hanging some heavy pictures and shelves. We could not have wished for a better job. I recommend Espana without reservation. read more

Our 4 unit condo had not been painted in 7 years. Erwin's team arrived at the exact time agreed upon and we reviewed the process. A feature of this company is that there is a process that the painters follow. They approach the project methodically and consistently. -They covered all the windows with plastic and placed drop clothes all around. -They work really hard getting ALL of the old paint off. I was amazed at how hard they worked to do that. 3 days of prep and it was worth it. -Carpenters came in and replaced several rotten window sills and many feet of clapboard that had been damaged. Replaced old and rotten molding from around all the windows. -Primed with oil paint tinted to match the final color. And all open seams were caulked and sealed. -Final coat of paint resulted in those painted surfaces in as good as new condition but with a better paint job the building has seen since 1900. This is the second time hiring this service. I had them paint the inside of my unit over the summer and was also very pleased at that time. The guys that work for this company are all really professional, friendly and neat. They are respectful and clean up well every evening. I will hire them again. read more

Erwin and his team came in with the best price after meeting with 4 different painting companies. Not only was it affordable but they painted my walls, ceiling and doors for my kitchen, dining room, living room and entryway and it looks fantastic. The space has a lot of challenging wainscoting and molding and his team was so attentive to detail. They got the job done and cleaned up in two days. Would highly recommend Espana Painting and hire them again. read more

I had a heat pipe burst a couple months ago from upstairs bedroom that leaked down to my living room. I was in a panick and searched Yelp for someone to fix the water damage. I called Erwin and he came out the next day for a quote. Erwin and his team was great start to finish, very professional. Repair was done within a week. I liked their work and used them a second time to update our second floor. read more

TLDR: very responsive/communicative, meticulous quoting, thorough prep work, great paint job, will hire again in the future! I requested a quote from Erwin Munoz over Yelp. He quickly responded to schedule an in-person quote. He gave us a thorough quote that explained the various charges in detail. He then worked very hard to work us into his schedule due to our very tight move-in schedule - his team worked over the holiday weekend to make sure the job was done before move-in. They prepped the space very thoroughly and did a great job painting. We will definitely hire his team again! read more

I couldn't be happier with the services provided by Erwin and his team. They painted the trim on my 20+ year old house and the trim hasn't been painted since the house was built. My house looks brand new! The team was extremely professional, reliable and trustworthy, and the price for the services was reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again, and my neighbors have already come by asking for their contact information. Thank you so much Erwin! read more

Erwin runs a great business and is an excellent communicator. Very responsive, fair pricing, and his team doesn't quit until you're satisfied with the result. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for future painting needs. read more

I would like to first start by saying that I do not write reviews very often, not because I do not want the next consumer to be aware of what other people have experienced, good or bad. But mostly because I, like most am very busy. But I am setting aside time to write this review, because I feel that a home is important, and who you have handling your investment is a big decision. That being said, I was able to trust Erwin and his team not only to restore my beautiful Victorian Home to its original condition, but also was able to have peace of mind while I was away from my property during this project. Erwin and his team were very prompt, professional and well skilled in their trade. I have plans on using them again for some up coming work. Thanks again Erwin! read more

I have used Erwin and his crew many times. They are the best. Incredibly trustworthy (I am often not home when they do the work), do excellent work, and always fit me in. In a time when it is hard to get things fixed in a home, Erwin has been the most reliable with excellent work! read more

They did an amazing job painting my kitchen cabinets. Excellent price, too. I would hire them again.

Erwin and his crew are fantastic. They work hard, communication is incredible and he remembers everything you talk about. Erwin and crew did a fantastic job on my stair well , ceiling and new handrail! Was impressed with their punctuality, cleanliness of job site and attention to detail. Erwin addressed all my concerns with a positive attitude and willingness to address and change! My house was well overdue for a paint job, missing shingles, rotting wood, etc. Erwin came out to view the property the same day i requested the quote and emailed a detailed quote 2 days later. His team stripped every single shingle, replaced the wood that needed to be replaced, primed and painted the entire house in the estimated 10days. His team is extremely professional, and very detailed in their work. The price was better than the other quotes I've received. I will definitely use Espana painting for future jobs! read more

Espana Painting did an incredible job painting over the wood repairs to our house. They arrived when they said they would, did the work efficiently and well within the time window, matched the color to our old paint, took safety precautions we asked for with no issue, were mindful of our garden and other objects, painted with immaculate precision, paid attention to every detail and left the worksite immaculate. They responded to any questions we had quickly and professionally, and went above and beyond. One of the most seamless and positive experiences we've ever had doing work on our 122-year-old house. Hiring contractors can sometimes feel like an arduous process, but not with Erwin. He was super responsive and on top of the ball the entire time. Hands down one of the best contractors I've used. It is clear he & his crew know what they are doing & what needs to be done. His crew took care of all the prep work and any holes / imperfections in the walls before painting without me having to point them out. The project was booked and completed in an incredibly timely fashion and he made the process as easy and worry free as possible. 100% would use again and recommend to others. read more

Espana Painting did a great job on our home. We just bought and wanted a bright color and Erwin and his team were fantastic. He met with us beforehand to select colors and helped us narrow it down. Once onsite, he painted our options to give us a better idea of what we wanted. Once we selected the color, his team got to work. We put together a timeframe for completion which they met and never did it feel rushed nor did the finished job show that it was rushed. My wife and I were extremely happy with the end product and satisfied with the whole process from getting bids, selecting paint, and adhering to timelines. We definitely recommend Espana Painting! read more
