I have a product protection plan through Asurion and they had me send my broken smart watch to Teleplan Services for repair. I've sent it in twice and both times they returned it very quickly, with the screen falling off. The screen was not falling off when I first sent it in. read more

So, I recently had the displeasure of having a laptop shipped (by the extended warranty service company) to Teleplan to have a $10 component replaced (the CCFL backlight.) Teleplan took two weeks to generate a quote, which was inflated to $500. They claimed there was a liquid spill and that it needed a new motherboard, keyboard, etc. Except, it works just fine, even the LCD works fine, it just needs a backlight. Problem is, replacing a $10 part doesn't generate enough revenue for them, so they'd rather commit fraud. Avoid these people at all costs. read more

I an an online retailer that uses Liquidation.com as one of my suppliers. I have been using this supplier for about 3 months now and have had 5 issues with merchandise that I have bought from them. All laptops. It turns out that Liquidation.com uses this company here, Teleplan, for there refurbishes. The plant that does this work actually is in Mexico but this is the same company. It seems to me that the products that are coming out of Teleplan are either done shabbily because of the speed and no Quality Assurance done or just plain incompetence. Not sure which but before you buy from ANY wholesaler of computers find out who does their refurbish work. read more

one day around the end of DEC.2017 when trying to start up my computer it was stuck at the splash screen. tried a couple of things ,no go.so i called direct v to file a claim with my premier protection plan. Covered devices include LCD TVs, LED TVs, plasma TVs, tablets, laptops, and computers. DIRECT V Protection Plan Premier with Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) - Includes everything in the DIRECT V Protection Plan Premier. ADH offers extra protection for accidental damage. It covers laptop and tablet drops, spills, and cracked screens. i told the agent what was happening with my computer that it would not boot past the splash screen.i mentioned that something like this had happened to me before on a different computer.it had lost its bios due to a virus.had to get a new mother board.i thought that this could be , the same thing, at the most a new mother board back in business .so they sent me .a box and a label.ups picked it up and it was on the way to Irving Texas,to a place called teleplan to be repaired .ten-days later i received an email stating that repairs had been completed and they were returning my computer to me. four days later ups attempted to deliver my computer,but needed a signature.richer ,my grandson didn't know what that meant so by the time i got up front they were gone.the next day i sent my step daughter to ups to get my computer.she was told to come back four times(that the driver wasn't in yet) finally on the fifth attempt the driver was back but ups wouldn't give her the computer because she didn't have the same last name as me . so the next day i sent my wife to ups to get my computer.they would not let her have it either because her drivers license didn't have our physical address on it they got in an argument over it and she called the guy an asshole and came home. so the next day i had my step daughter take me to ups .it took twenty minutes to find my package it looked very beat up .again i didn't have any id with our physical address on it but i had thought to bring a pink slip with our address on it so they let me take the computer . i should have opened and checked the package because when i got home and opened the package i found out that teleplan had not done any repairs.there was a packing slip enclosed...,it read...,hi Dan weaver we never want to disappoint,but the repair your product needs is not covered under your protection plan for the following reasons...,the damage appears to be either,liquid, physical ,or cosmetic,which are failures not covered by your protection plan.there was no signature just "the directv protection plan premier team"not only had no repairs been done but now my computer had been trashed.the heat sink /fan combo was loose and rattling around the mother board .the large case fans at the bottom had been torn from there mounts .the back corner of the case was bashed in,the plexiglass view port on the side of the case was cracked .it had to have been dropped from a height sufficient enough to do this much damage . i filed a damaged package claim online at ups website. they came and picked up the computer two days later to evaluate the damages . what i dont under stand is why ups sent it back to teleplan in irving texas where it stayed for 5 days before being sent back to me with evan more damage than before. i am very disapointed with this company they have destroyed my computer seemingly maliciously and have made no attempt to apologize or take responsability for it,as with ups. the crazy thing about all of this is that my policy does cover spills and accidental damage,but there has never been any spills or physical damage to my computer.so teleplan doesnt have a leg to stand on.now i am forced into a position of not being able to trust this company that i pay to protect my equiptment thru directv every month.i have been a loyal customer for over three years,pay my bills promtly every month so why am i being treated so very badly.do they think i am just going to let it go.i paid nearly $2400.00 for that computer just five years ago ,custom built for me from tiger direct and have all the financial documentation to prove it.there is no way i am going to just let this go. i would like to resolve this peacefully if at all possible. so today i am going to try my best to talk to some body with directv and asurion to try and get this matter resolved with out any further legal action. very upset in penryn,ca. dan weaver read more

This company has had my laptop 5 times trying to repair it, each time they replaced a part and broke something else, it began with power port issue, then incorrect voltage created LCD issues, after they replaced the screen I had power issues again, they replaced the motherboard, since then it will power up for 5-10 min then power down, and will not restart for hours, while down nothing registers, even the charging and power indicators, I have replaced the battery and power supply with no change, now they have had my laptop in 2 times for this issue, the first time they found nothing wrong and yet kept it for 21 days, upon receipt within 5 Min's it did the exact same thing, currently they have had it for 14 days. I have called 5 times to the call center and asked for updates, the depot will not respond. read more

Pros: Friendly, easy to work with Cons: One of the replaced parts was worse than the original part (battery). I have the Sams Club Service and Replacement plan for my laptop, and have (unfortunately) had to send in my laptop more times than I would like. I have often had issues with receiving the box from the Service Plan (either it wasn't sent, or I never received it). After successfully sending it in last year, Teleplan called me to ask what address I wanted the laptop returned to, and instead I just came and picked it up at their facility in Irving. The reps at Teleplan told me that I could just drop the laptop off with the claim number instead of hoping that the box successfully arrives at my home and that they would get right to it and give me a call when it was done. This is really convenient for me since I live in the area. My one qualm is that I asked if I could replace the battery, since over 3 years it had gone from 7-8 hrs of battery life to 3-5 hrs of battery. They did replace it, but the new battery ended up being worse (2-3 hrs of battery life) than the old one. By the time I noticed and called to ask about it, they had already sent the old one off to be recycled. Afterwards I found out that my plan didn't cover this anyway (whoops) so I couldn't ask for it to be replaced again. Otherwise, they are friendly and easy to work with read more

I have sent multiple computers to this company thru Assurion, out of the 10 computers sent NONE came back working as expected! One computer had a dead high end graphics card it in, when it came back it had a cheap $20 video card in it that was barely suited for web browsing and when I sent it back for this I was told "we never touched your video card, we are not fixing this". Another computer I sent off had 16 GB ram in it they send it back to me with 2gb ram and when I complained they took pictures of 2gb of ram from somewhere else and claim I was lying! On that same unit I requested my hard drive returned so they RIPPED it out of the computer breaking off the connectors rendering it useless! Most recently I mailed off a computer with blown capacitors on the motherboard, a dead HD and a video card that the fan was making a lot of noise. The computer still booted but crashed a lot. They mailed it back with a 7 year old USED HD, and had replaced the capacitors on the motherboard and now it wont boot at all! read more
