I've gone here 3 times now hoping that each time would be better than the last but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The sushi is OK, they don't really put out much nigiri on the sushi belt so you have to order it individually, though I will say they do give you more fish than rice which is nice. The rolls however I haven't been too impressed with and have been tasting a little too fishy.. Servers are pretty attentive. My biggest complaint is the music is far too loud, it just kinda ruins the whole atmosphere. read more

Extremely impressed the food was fresh and delicious my favorite roll was the spicy tiger roll my wife's was the shrimp tempura. We will be back! read more

Teharu Sushi - Sushi conveyor - Sushi Bars Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

Oh Teharu, I've been here enough times with my classmates to write a decent review. To start off, I never eat at revolving sushi places when I was in Cali because of the quality. However, due to the lack of options in Mesa and the convenience of Teharu, I've been here more often than I'd like to admit (A girl got cravings okay?) Parking: not bad, never had trouble looking for parking. Service: decent, they only have about 2 maybe 3 waitresses at a time. During lunch/dinner rush, service is pretty slow. It's hard to wave them down for a special order roll or refill of water. There is never a wait. So us students can just storm in, grab 1/2 of the food from the belt and clean them out, and come back for class in time. The FISH: + Prices are fair + Salmon is pretty consistent, I definitely recommend any salmon items + Seaweed salad is always on point + Tamago is yum + HAND ROLLS are a must: spicy tuna or salmon handroll. It can be a hit or miss depending on who's rolling them. But we usually get A LOT of fish in each massive hand roll for $3 each. +White fish/ white tuna is usually good +Vegas roll is pretty decent -Squids are awful -Tuna is chewy, not really fresh -Fish quality overall is not consistent and more often than not, it's not as fresh as I prefer. BUT, Teharu is so convenient and fairly cheap. I will probably find myself here every once in a while to satisfy my fish cravings. read more

I used to go to the Chandler location a lot but after a while I stopped going... the quality seemed to go don't at that location... but I was still excited to try this new location. For some reason, everytime I go there, the place is empty... but that's not necessarily a bad thing (less wait time yassssss) Love the fact that I can try different types of rolls but not have to eat 8 pieces of it...and its really fun watching the sushi move a long the belt My faves include the Vegas Roll, "boobie roll" not sure what it is called for real lol but it's the one with the red dot, And the Rainbow roll! Yummy!! You can order more specialized stuff on the menu but may not be on the belt. For dessert there's random cheesecakes and cream puffs that go around and other drinks as well ( I personalky focus onthe sushi) Anyways... Prices are pretty affordable from 1-2 dollars per plate... But it does add up! Go and try anyways! It's fun and yummy :) read more

Came for dinner at 7:30. Turned away from a mostly empty restaurant over 1.5hrs before closing because "the kitchen was about to close". Not surprised about the 3 star review they already have. Good thing there is another sushi spot in the same plaza that was more than happy to accommodate us. My guess is they will be the only sushi spot in this plaza soon enough if Teharu is turning away business when their restaurant is already empty! read more

Came in today to try this place. There were no services at all. My boyfriend and I sat down and have to ask for a menu because they didn't give us one. Tried ordering items off the menu and they claim they don't have anything on there. Apparently they ran out of everything. Got only 2 out of the 6 items we ordered. When I ordered a different type of roll, they said it will be take a very long time to make. Ordered a calamari and the guy didn't put in our order, so it never came out. It seem like they don't want customers. I should have read the reviews before coming in. read more

I wanted to try a sushi place that has a revolving options of sushi! So I look it up on Yelp! They do have a few in Mesa, Scottsdale and Tempe. So this place came up and I took my family to check it out. Not bad...there's so many options but a bit limited. Maybe because we were there late, basically an hour before it closes? So there are different prices on the plate you select, for example the plate ranges between $1.50 to $3.00. At the end of the meal, they tally your bill based on how many color-coded plates you've stacked up. Amazingly, you can eat a lot for very little money! The kids like it, I wasn't super thrilled but it's a good spot for date night and trying different sushi options! read more

I have loved and adored the location on Priest and Ray for years but having moved in recent years and being busy with life I hadn't been to any Teharu in ages. For that reason I didn't know that the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm and figured that with a 10:30 pm close time I'd be alright. I'm MORE than upset that my friends and I were just sat down without being told that whatever is out was it for the night. I feel like we seriously wasted our time, got a tiny taste of sushi without being able to have a meal AND I'm seriously angry that when these concerns were voiced they chose to do absolutely nothing about it (couldn't even take the half drank sodas off the bill). All that says to me is that they'd rather customers walk out pissed over their mistake than do anything about it. Moral of the story: Be there before 9 pm or don't go at all. The 10:30 pm close is pretty much a lie. read more

My son's favorite place prior to covid. Haven't been here since then but we've gone here a lot & prices has gone up a bit but overall if you want to try different sushi, this is your go to place with their conveyor belt & small servings. They do have a menu too if you want something else & they do accommodate some orders, just ask! read more

I've been trying to call you guys the past couple hours. There is something wrong with the phones there, when the person answers there's some kind of interruption. A loud ringing noise. I've been trying to cancel my online order and receive a refund. I ordered from the wrong location. Can someone please call me back. read more

I really enjoyed going here for sushi. Decent quality and great price! The only thing I would have liked more is a slightly more attentive server when it came to drinks. I drink fast though. read more

Loved this place when they first opened in Tempe. Went there all the time with my girlfriends. But we moved to QC so the drive was just too far. But I has so happy to see they opened one closer to me. We went to check it out and it is just as good as Tempe. They have a few more non sushi menu items which made the husband happy. Their spicy ramen was tasty as well as the sushi. I love going here because I don't have to spend $10 a roll that I might not finish. This is a good place to take someone to introduce them to sushi too. Gives them an opportunity to try little bit of everything. read more

First of all, the sushi gets the job done. I wouldn't say its the best sushi I have ever tasted but it wasn't horrible. What they need to improve on is their service. I felt bad for the waitress working because she was the only one there. Obviously, she could only do so much if she's by herself. They management needs to hire more waiters/waitresses to make sure service is fast. read more

This place was sooooo much better than the Tempe location! Food was good service was good. Inexpensive as always. I will be back here! I had given up on Teharu because of the Tempe location, but family prevails in influencing me and I am so glad they did. Keep up the good service here and we will keep coming back! read more

I first found out about this place by word of mouth by a bank teller. A few months had gone by before I decided to stop by and check it out, I was so disappointed with myself for waiting so long. My first visit we came a little after the lunch rush, which seemed to be great timing. We sat down ordered or drinks, then went to town getting plates off the conveyer belt as they made their way past us! The pricing was very reasonable, restaurant was clean and staff was nice. The bill was under $30 for two of us which was quite a deal! read more

It's been three years since my first review and sadly it's gone from 5 to 3 stars. Last three times we went there was hardly any rolls and we ended up having to order the rolls. Not a huge deal to order, but this last time we ordered jalapeño rolls and they came out warm not hot, and the jalepenos still had seeds. The gyzu (pot stickers) were burnt, and the tempura shrimp roll was chewy. I happened to look up and that's when I decided we won't be going back for a while. There was SO MUCH DUST. Like years worth of dust sitting on the lights and fans. The bathroom was nasty too. The large stall didn't even have a functioning lock. There was a strong sour odor, and there was a plate on the wall that seemed to be letting in light from outside. Creepy. I know covid took its toll but this place was doing to-go orders still. That would have been the ideal time to deep clean and make some much needed repairs. Only reason it's getting the three is the service which is always great, and the price. REEEEALLY hoping things turn around. It was our favorite spot to go to for our mommy daughter sushi dates. read more

We came here to try some revolving sushi and teriyaki. It's my first revolving sushi place that we are trying out. Wait was 45mins for 4 on a Sunday dinner night for a table! Took me by surprise. Service was not impressive. Our server sat us took our drink order. We were 3-4 sushi plates in before we even got our water and Siracha. Our server didn't come back to check on us until she gave us our check. I had to flag a different server down to get more water. The sushi was good my husband loves the sashimi. You can see the chefs there cooking and making the sushi out in the open. There's also desert which involves cheese cake and cream puffs. My kid love the cream puffs. Overall we would come back again, sushi is good and service yeah not impressive but you're just grabbing your own plate of sushi anyways. read more

(3.5 stars) Went on a Sunday, wasn't very crowded they sat my family fairly quick. The food was great and fresh, but there wasn't a very big selection. The pricing was very good(per color plate). I wish they would put more variety of sushi and maybe some other types of food like teriyaki chicken. Also put some desserts out i.e. Jell-O or pudding. I definitely recommend this place I will for sure be going again. read more

The food is really good and the pricing is fair. The place just needs a good cleaning. Rotating table and glass.

Revolving Sushi!!! We love the original location in Ahwatukee/Tempe, so when we saw this had opened up by our friend's place, dinner was decided. The sushi was just a shade below the original standard (still good), but the location was more spacious and less packed. Also, the service was much more personable. The prices are still crazy low, and my wife and I ate ourselves sick with too much sushi for under 30 bucks. We will be back, and you should stop in too, even if just for a snack (ya know, like anything under 8 plates). read more

My 10-year-old son absolutely loves this place. So friendly and food is so fresh and delicious. Most recently we dined in and enjoyed our dinner. My son actually lost his wallet and we came back over an hour later to find that it was found by one of the hostesses. I absolutely value the sheer integrity of this establishment and will continue to frequent. Thank you so very much for the very kind hostess that served and help my son get his wallet back.. read more

Terrible service ever. I came at 8:20 and the sever said the kitchen will close in next 10 mins. I definitely won't come back, and I know they don't care. read more

Wanted to check out the revolving sushi theme, sounded good - quick and cheap, my kind of place. You can literally sit down and starting eating right away. However, the sushi was not very good. Barely even Chinese buffet grade. In fact, I'd rather get buffet sushi and other stuff for the price. The plates add up pretty quickly so value was not all the great really. I will say you do get to try a variety of dishes but the variety is not that extensive. Also, the service was good on the day we went. After a few plates, my daughter and I did not feel so well. Nausea lasted for a couple of hours. Not sure where the sick feeling came from with so much rice in the pieces? Anyways, I don't care how popular the place gets, you won't be seeing us again. read more

My wife and I stopped in last night for some quick sushi. We were sat right away which was good. We ordered our drinks which I took two sips out of and waited till something looked appetizing. We ate a total of three plates worth of sushi. We complained about the food selection and wanted a discount. The waitress refused. Our bill was $18. The customer service at this location is beyond absurd. The food selection is scarce with few options. The kitchen staff are completely lazy with no regard to the customers. The waitresses are not attentive at all. The cleanliness of this establishment is disgusting. The men's restroom had urine stains all over the toilet and someone defecated on the wall next to the toilet. The restrooms smell of sewage. The dead cockroaches by the urinals were a nice touch as well. My wife and I will not be returning. WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!!! read more

Orderd sushi from here from Postmates. It was canceled because they said they don't affiliate with Postmates anymore, which is fine. I want to start by saying this used to be my favorite place. My husband found a baby Cockroach in his sushi roll last night and quickly ran to show our server/manager. They said ew and gave us 92 cent discount. .92?!?!? I know mistakes happen but a bug in our food!?!? SO GROSS! I'm so mad our sushi spot is now ruined for date night. The fact that we had to pay for our full meal is crazy. My husband even said regardless if there was a bug he still would have gone back if the customer service was better. They handled this situation very badly! read more

If you are sushi snob you may not like this place too much but I personally really enjoy it! It's not the most fanciest of sushi's BUT the convenience aspect of this place is the best!! How awesome is it to just sit there and watch as food passes by you and then as soon as you see something you like, you grab it,and eat! This is literally my favorite part about this place especially when I come in super hungry! The sushi is on a conveyor belt and each plate color is associated with a certain price, so something to look out for! Overall I personally enjoy coming here when I'm craving quick sushi! Service is great and there is lots of seating:) read more

As I am writing this I am current on the toilet in pain. Never in my life have I had sushi this bad, and I have had sushi at a buffet. I will probably be going to the hospital. In conclusion fuck this place. Slight edit the service is also ass. read more

WENT TO THIS BUFFET STYLE CONVEYOR BELT Sushi Eatery. Never given menus. Server took drink orders and dropped off drinks. Needed to order a few Items, not available on conveyor , but could not locate our server. When we finally saw her to call her over, she repeatedly walked away when we were in the middle of our order to the point where we were not even able to finish ordering and my 6 year old granddaughter had to walk up to the counter to order the edamame. Needless to say, not a good experience, but was worse when we looked at our bill and saw that she had added a manual tip of 18% tip because we had a party of 6 (counting a 2 year old). We spoke with a manager and he said it was above his pay grade to add the tip even though we have been there multiple times and never had this on our check before. Upon leaving we saw a computer printed sign saying the tip would be added to parties of 6 or more. Terrible experience terrible service. We will not be back. read more

Normally this place is excellent, but there's this new waiter there named Nate-totally pushy. On top of you every time he walks past (like every 5 secs "is everything all right?" " are you doing okay?"). Dude, calm down. It'll be awhile before I go back. read more

I wish there was a " ZERO star " option. From the start to the finish, horrible experience. As we walked in ( party of 8 ) it took them about 20 min to sit us on a half empty restaurant. When receiving our drinks, the waiter dropped 4 ice cold drinks on my child ( 2 month old ) we all jump up trying to get to my crying son. He later mentioned that my son was reaching for the trey, " WHAT TWO MONTH OLD REACHES FOR A TREY 3 FEET AWAY ? " when finally done with our nightmare. We head out to the counter to pay our bill. The lady smiling and laughing looks at me and tells me " I gave you a discount " I wasn't worried about the discount. After getting home we inspect the car seat and it's ruined. Stains all over the place. My wife then gets sad and upset cause we bought that car seat with hard work and sweat, tears and blood. For a careless waiter to ruin it in a matter of seconds. I will no longer be coming here, I will share this message to all social media. Oh back to the discount, it was $2 read more

I think management must be non existent. The service is always terrible, as the other reviews have stayed. They will serve you a drink, but good luck getting a refill or a menu. They also play pretty vulgar music here, definitely not a family place. I listen to all types of music but that doesn't mean grandma and little Johnny need to hear Nicki Minaj's latest unedited song. On to the food... it's decent. Not the best, but not the worst. My favorite rolls are the crunchy onion roll and jalapeño roll (this one is only served on the weekend though). I'll continue coming here as it's a great option for cheap sushi for lunch, but I wouldn't necessarily bring family or friends. I just really wish they had better service. read more
