We are believers of second chance, so we came back here, and half of the block was without power due to an incident at Jerry's Market where a power line fell and struck a delivery truck, don't know the full details this was based on what the locals had shared while we were in line. Had the Lemmon Shandy danish and it was delicious yum yum yum! Highly recommend it. Also the pull over and the cheddar pretzels. One day I'll have another GIANT PRETZEL. Coffee was just ok, they do not have any other sweetens other than table sugar, so if you are like me bring your own. Pleasant visit, but also the chairs were not that big so comfort is not there so make it a short visit or pick up and take home. Amazing!!! I missed out on pumpernickel thursday so i came on rye bread friday. I wanted to eat the whole loaf. Crunchy (but not too hard) crust and soft (not doughy) center. Absolutely loved it!! I will be there thursday to get my pumpernickel! I also got a jalapeño cheese danish and a pretzel. Everything was so good. Service was fast and friendly at the counter. Our go to is the Pretzel croissant with white cheddar cheese! Our second go to is their raspberry danish. You cannot go wrong because everything is so good. They also have hot coffee. We've had their giant pretzels and they are pretty delicious. They are located next to the Tecumseh Brewery and Chocolate Harvest. read more

Yes yes yes . Fresh breads, scones, muffins, and more. I ordered a blueberry muffin, 2 loaves of bread, a Carmel bun, and a chocolate croissant. Everything was fresh and moist. The blueberry muffin was delicious and loaded with berries. They offer a lot of options. Go early because once they sell out it's gone for the day. The staff was friendly. The store front is small but functional. I can imagine that it could be really cramped when busy. They have limited hours but it is worth figuring it out. A welcomed addition to the unique downtown scene. They are fairly priced for what you get. More expensive than basic chain bread but worth it. read more

I heard about this place from my previous volunteer manager at the Crosswell theatre as she and her husband own it but keep on forhetting to stop by. I absolutely love all things baked especially bread. I can eat bread every day with no guilt. So today finally stopped in while walking downtown and am glad I did. It was hard to pick as there is so much variety of bread, cookies and pastries. I chose the chocolate chip cookies, wheat bread, cheddar sourdough and of course dog treats for my three dogs. The cheddar sourdough is fabulous and must be popular as I got the last loaf. I like the option of sliced or not sliced. Cute store, friendly helpful staff, delicious food. I'm dure my first visit won't be my last. Great addition to the town and love the idea of supporting small businesses. read more

If you are like me you seek out tiny, hometown, organic, owner-operated businesses wherever you go. And if you're like me, you hope they're all at least half as good as Tecumseh Bread and Pastry! I've not traveled to France or Italy, but if I die having only eaten these breads and pastries, that'll be ok! These guys are doing it right. Nice selection of breads, some seedy, some cheesy, and of course all the 'plain' loaves you'd hope for. No cupcakes, cakepops, or brownies. But who needs those when there are both sweet and savory croissants, danishes, and scones! Also recommend the cinnamon raisin bread, nearly too good to share, as well as the self-serve coffee which is only enhanced by the heavy cream offered from the fridge behind the counter. I also bought a 6-pack of chocolate chip cookies off of their retail rack and they were irresistible!! These folks are doing this organic baking thing FOR REAL!! Drop by as early as you can one day and see what they've got. You'll be glad you did!! read more

Went here at 7 am this morning to get a pastry and they were so good. This isn't a typical donut place it's all very fresh like getting a bear claw from Panera bread but much better. They make fresh loaves of any bread you can think of really. That part reminds me of Stone Hearth. I can't wait to come back and buy some fresh loaves of bread and have them cut it. Very small place on Evans street in Tecumseh but cutely positioned in a little nook. Blink and you will pass by. read more

I got the turkey rueban on a spinach wrap and it was amazing! The atmosphere was fun with really good music. You had to go up to the bar to order. The service seems just fine at the bar, no one checked on us at the table. read more

Love everything! I pop in at least twice a month for a loaf of cheddar sourdough. The savory croissants are incredible and the sweet are a dream. If you're overwhelmed by options, just ask some questions and they help with suggestions that are wonderful. The new location is awesome if you want to stay and enjoy your pastry. Just go! read more

Great products, but horrible customer service. They are rude and judgmental. Overweight people are 100% treated worse than thin people. The male owner was even quite saying that people don't understand the work that goes into baking. They "just want something to put in their mouth." Super condescending. It's a shame that I would not suggest supporting these people, because they do know how to bake. read more

I probably should keep this place a secret but it is about time Tecumseh got a first rate bakery. The place is small, the selection is limited just like the hours but the bread and pastries are first rate. The menu is inconsistent but I have never been disappointed with anything I bought. Amazing!! Never had anything here that wasn't great! Great selection of fresh made baked goods. The bread and the baked goods are incredible even offering some healthier options. The honey glazed cinnamon roll is my favorite!! The owners are great people and use very high quality ingredients. Prices are very good for what you get! You can't go wrong! read more
