I highly recommend their donuts, muffins and soft pretzels (Saturday only). I cannot eat anywhere else for donuts. My favorites are custard filled and simple grazed raised doughnuts. Lev's is a world best. read more

I would like to share the good news regarding my sugar donuts, it's been 3 weeks in a row and I e been able to find my sugar donuts! Yay! Hopefully I continue to have good luck. I've found My second choice now, instead of walking away bc they didn't have any sugar donuts left, I've found a really good blueberry muffin! read more

My home away from home! Best donuts anywhere! A destination place on your bucket list for sure.

This Tecumseh bakery occupies a small shop setback from the street sidewalk. You have to know where to look for it. Relying on the street number is highly recommended, as the exterior signage is small. But once inside...WOW...there is not one thing on the menu that could be more delicious. I have had everything except the large Bavarian-style pretzels, which are only offered on Saturday mornings. That is a "must do" for a Saturday visit. The staff is very pleasant and efficient. The pricing is excellent - a whole pie was $17. Oh, in the warmer months, they offer ice cream and ice cream sandwiches. The portions are HUGE and be warned, you had better eat quickly!! read more

Fresh donuts and lots of options for everyone in the family. Their coconut cream pie is delicious, best one in town. I always get the chocolate cake donut and the sugar donuts for my wife. Their muffins are good too. They also sell ice cream and pretzels and popcorn. read more

The minute I walked into the bakery I was given dirty looks by the woman working the register. She watched every move I made like I was going to steal something. Stood there tapping the paper bag until I told her what I wanted. Felt very rushed the whole time. Won't be going back read more

Seems the quality is changing. Please bring back the old recipes and methods if you've changed them. Last five times they've just not been good. First it started with the fillings, not tasting the same and now the donuts themselves have kind of a weird taste to them. I don't know if they used to make them from scratch and now they're using mixes but something's different and I'm really worried they're not gonna be in business long if they don't go back to the way it was we love Levs please don't change it. If you have to raise your prices just go ahead and do that. It would be worth it to keep it the same read more

Lev's Bakery of Tecumseh - Levs sugar donut! - Bakeries Near Me - Tecumseh, Michigan

I enjoyed everything I've purchased here and highly recommend Lev's. The staff is friendly and polite and the bakery items are scrumptious.

This place is the best in terms of taste, service and cost. Stopped by this morning for 8 doughnuts, 12 cookies and a loaf of pumpernickel bread for less than $20. Be sure to bring your appetite and cash or check only. On Saturdays only at 0930 German pretzels are ready, they are a hot ticket item, be sure to call your order in advance. read more

This place is amazing, so good I wish fewer people knew about it The shop is a classic bakery, the only thing it's missing is two old guys smoking cigarettes and drinking their coffee. The donuts are second-to-none. read more

Just go to Lev's! They are awesome! Between donuts, pretzels, hot dogs wrapped in pretzels, pies, cookies and bakery bread just like the old days. Oh and check them out on facebook for their special goodies they create! Oh, how about a scoop of ice cream in between their awesome cookies! Just go! read more

This is my second trip to Lev's. I have a brother in Tecumseh and I like to show up with a doughnut when we get together and go hiking. Fantastic selection and delicious doughnuts. I would suggest going out of your way next time you are feeling like a baked good and stop here. Right on M-50, open early. I recommend the fried cinnamon with nuts!! read more

this is an amazing bakery! The food is fresh baked, and there is a wonderful and creative variety of different items. We tried several different things from cake, bagels, muffins, cookies, and we're not disappointed in anything we tried. We highly recommend! read more

A+ Very Helpful and wonderful donuts and German Pretzels on Saturdays.. Get there early! Cookies etc

I've enjoyed Lev's doughnuts for many years. Their doughnuts are amazing! I was fortunate enough to meet the new owners a few months ago - wonderful people! Great service, great products and a wonderful smal. Pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed. read more

For many years I would give it 5 stars until recently the past 6-8 months. I've noticed less frosting on doughnuts to where you can see the top of the doughnut through the frosting if that makes sense and , drier doughnut not as fluffy and moist. Also the flavor has been lacking as well in the fritters and maple Frosting product. I know they have expanded to many different areas in the county like gas stations area based on a fb post I believe it was a few months back. My opinion is they are stretching there ingredients to compensate for these expansions and maybe cost but 1 doughnut is now 1.45 compared to I think about 1.25 from last year maybe. Either way cost don't bother me but lack of flavor does. Let's fix these issues levs. I don't eat junk food often and yes doughnuts are junk food because there's nithing healthy about them but when i do I expect goodness. 3 stars from me. Yes I will continue to go there maybe 1*a month is my average to support local stores but I will leave reviews if they don't fix. not harsh ones though Just honest ones read more

UPDATE 10/1219 WENT IN TO BUY PRETZELS as I do every time I visit the great town of Tecumseh Michigan. Just walked out of LEV'S. Staff still as UNPLEASANT AS EVER! GREAT PRODUCT ANGRY STAFF! SO SAD. Great Pretzels and Doughnuts. I stop here everytime I come to Tecumseh. Pretzels are world class. I have never known the staff to be plesant. I think they get mad if you don't pre-order. They always run out. You would think after 30 years of selling Pretzels they would be better prepared. I wonder how many 10's of thousands of dollars they have lost due to running out. Why is the staff so angry? You sell Doughnuts. Kind of like the Sinefield Episode: Soup Nazi. No Pretzels For You! read more

Great bakery, local people and best donuts. This is a staple of Tecumseh for decades. Saturday morning at 9:00am they have soft pretzels that melt in your mouth. Must try if your in the area. read more

I have been eating donuts and pretzels from Lev's Bakery for over 20 years. I am still a huge fan although I have moved away. I still try to stop by on Saturday for at least the pretzels every time I come back. he donuts are all personal preference. I happen to enjoy the custard. Some of the cookies are good. The prices here are very reasonable for what you get.My reason that they are not a 5 star place is because I really do wish they were a little nicer/friendlier. You are busy because loyal customers come to you - show you appreciate that with smiles and thank you. read more

Best doughnuts EVER!! It's all homemade every morning and they have so many options! Plus, it's cheap and all made the old-fashioned way. Come early on Saturday morning to get their famous soft German pretzels!! read more

Was in town for basketball tournament and went to this bakery. They had the best donuts I have ever had. My family owns Numerous pastry shops and this bakery is phenomenal. You have to try the fresh baked pretzels. Phenomenal. read more

My hometown bakery...I would fight a person for a Lev's doughnut! The pretzels on Saturdays are unreal. Get there early, or order ahead. I make a point to hit the bakery when I'm back in town. I've even had friends freeze and ship the pretzels. They're that good! read more

Lev's is the best bakery in existence. There is no chain that could EVER match how superb this place is, not to mention the staff is always wonderful and fast to help get you in and out with delicious baked goods. read more

They have the yummiest donuts, and pretzels!! I enjoy it every time we go!!! The only thing is they make you feel rushed to decide what you want... Once I figure out there selection I will be much faster... Lol read more

Total old school bakery. Amazing baked goods. Staff is friendly and helpful (if you're an entitled twerp, you'll get what you give, as it should be) I get 6 bags of treats all for under a Jackson. When I'm in town, this is my bakery. Tops. read more

I was there picking up orders. The person at the counter was very helpful and friendly. So were the rest of the bakers that greeted me as I was graciously invited to come through the back. I live downriver, it is definitely worth the drive and the charm of the bakery. All the baked goodsI enjoyed thoroughly. read more

I was so happy to find a yummy bakery nearby. The cookies and pretzels were delicious, so I decided to order a half sheet birthday cake. The decorating was something any home cook could have done, and the batter was baked in a shallow tin pan. All that wouldn't have mattered if it just tasted good - but it was so dry you literally coughed while eating it. Just awful! The frosting was just okay, not a rich buttercream like I was expecting. Sadly disappointing. I'll still buy the other items but cakes-no way! read more

tried the donuts which were quite good. thing I really liked was that they offered me a box for my 1/2 dozen donuts. I hate numerous donuts stuffed into a bag which all end up tasting the same and smeared with each others icing. also tried the hamburger buns which were light and "white bread" tasty- would have preferred no trans fats in the buns, but awfully good. So give them a try. you won't be disappointed. read more

Decent bakery. The staff is fairly rude, almost a self entitled "what do you want" attitude. They also only take cash or check. Ridiculous. Tim Hortons is horrible so this is your only real choice for fresh donuts in town. Like most restaurants and shops in Tecumseh this is yet another disappointment. read more

Lev's makes Saturday morning special for all those that stop in. You must try the German soft pretzels (Saturday only) and a selection of doughnuts, our family favorite is maple covered long johns. read more

I can't say they have a thing that is healthy for you, or that is "clean" to eat. But boy their stuff is good!!!

I have been to Lev's numerous times and will say the donuts are tasty but the service is not worth it. The lady behind the counter, Assuming the owner, Is so rude. Very unfriendly and for that reason I will not go back. I'm not willing to give my money to a business who has no people skills. I've never seen her smile or hear her send anyone off with as much as a Thank You!!! I will not be returning there. read more

Here's what I love about Lev's: the people are always so sweet, the Donuts tasty, and now...the german pretzel. I've been to Lev's when staying at my sister's many times, never made it in for the pretzels. This past Saturday, we got there at 9:29am, and the line was out the door. We exited through the kitchen, which they allow, where smiling bakers were working like Santa's elves to keep donuts and pretzels a-goin. Rumor has it every Saturday is like this. This was my first experience with the whole pretzel thing, and I believe it. I even spotted a pretzel put aside by a baker with a bottle of spicy brown next to it. Guess he wanted to make sure he had his :) Donuts are great, fresh, and there is a variety to choose from. Every time I've taken my nephew or any other tiny in there, they give a cookie to them. Kinda like my Italian Grandma, they keep you fed. Stop in this quiet little town and keep the local businesses moving . read more

I took my two kids to Tecumseh for a scheduled event. We ended up finding the downtown area/main street and since the kids were hungry we stopped by the bakery for some food. I really love this bakery. We ordered a glazed donut and three "gourmet" cookies. Why there were gourmet I have no idea, but they were delicious! More than anything, it is a cute little bakery with very friendly staff and very, very reasonable prices. I can't remember the last time I had such a good sized cookie that only cost me 42 cents. read more

OUTSTANDING!!!!! Visiting Tecumseh? Don't miss taking in Lev's Bakery - home style / old style raised donuts and so much more. Also, get there early - those of us who live in Tecumseh are in line early and might not leave any for you. LOL. Hope you get a chance to enjoy this hometown favorite. read more

I can't dispute that their treats are second to none, however their service has always been lacking. I have been buying their doughnuts and amazing pretzels for over 15 years. Almost every person I have ever had wait on me has been grumpy and act as though I am putting them out. For a small business one would think that it would take everything possible to stay in business, I guess their doughnuts and pretzels allow the employees and owners to treat their customers like dirt. read more

Absolutely THE BEST. I was fortunate enough to grow up with Lev's and have very fond memories of its donuts, pretzels, and cookies. My friends and I actually used to skip school for a bit and go here. (It was okay, because we were always sure to bring donuts back for our teachers - flawless.) There were rumors that it was going to close a few years back, and there was pure hysteria. Every once in a while, I'll run into someone in another state who has heard of Tecumseh, and they will often say, "They have the best bakery there!" There's only one. Get out of here Krispy Kreme - I won't even touch that crap. It's a disgrace to Lev's - Lev's maple Long's John's and glazed donuts own my heart. Yes, you do have to get there very early in the morning before they run out - that's just a testament to how amazing they are, not something to complain about. When I'm home for the holidays, I get my butt up early so that I can stock up on cookies and donuts and savor a donut while I reminisce about my childhood. Perfection. read more
