More than not our hours have not aligned, or we have been just too busy with life. My fiancé used to take her kids there 15-20 years ago, but also got sidetracked by life's challenges. We drove by today taking our pup for a walk and noticed the front of the building was damaged, so with that, noticing the open sign was on and we had no plans, we made it a point to stop in and see what they had to offer. They have an amazing assortment of treats, bumpy cakes, strudel's, cookies, flavored pretzel sticks, eclairs with their famous custard filling, lattes and smoothies, and they also make custom cakes. We purchased some cookies, a lemon bar, bumpy came, orange creamsicle and the famous eclair! Everything looks phenomenal. We also found out that a car had slammed in to their building on Father's Day while they were inside filling custom cake orders. Thank goodness nobody was injured. This is a local gem, so get out and support them. I know they will truly appreciate the business.

Wow, just perfectly seasoned and perfectly baked. There was not a soggy bit in sight even though I'd imagine something like this could get soggy really easily. It's basically like a robust stuffed bagel. They have three different types so I'll have to come back to try the other two. They had a good assortment of doughnuts but I didn't try any. The previous location, tho very adorable, was often difficult to get to (on Main Street smack dab between the main drag of downtown and the M-14 on ramp which made visiting tough during peak traffic times) and small for things like classes and the like. This new spot is not just bigger for them behind the scenes (you can see their production space via the window next door) but there's a large lobby for both showcasing their beautiful cake work and also for classes which they host regularly on the weekends. I've taken classes on both the older location and in this new space and I have to say this new space is much roomier and easier to work in than the previous spot. And the classes are so well organized and I've learned so much. Even if you're not an experienced cake or cookie decorator it's a blast as Heather and her team make the projects accessible for every skill level. You also walk away with some delicious treats and some really useful worksheets and instructions (I still use the royal icing recipe I received in a class I took 7 years ago). Speaking of delicious treats, they've also opened back up their walk-in dessert counter once a month so you can stop in to pick up cake slices or cookies (the chocolate brownie cookies are SO good). And for special occasions you can also pre-order one of their signature designed cakes on their website for pick up that weekend. Cake options come in a variety of trendy decor choices, from frilly vintage piping with glittered cherries, to pressed flowers or watercolor painting on the sides. All the designs and flavors are perfect for a birthday, anniversary, or even a small intimate wedding. I recently went to a wedding that went this route and instead of getting a tall tiered cake they had several of the Sweet Heather Anne signature layer cakes on a dessert table. It was beautiful! And more affordable and convenient than a custom design. That said, if you're looking to splurge on a fancy design they can also hook that up! One look in their storefront will have you wishing you had a special occasion to book one of these incredible cakes for. I love just coming in and admiring their beauty! We're so lucky to have such a nationally renowned bakery in town and even more lucky that they offer a variety of accessible options no matter what you're looking for!

I asked for assistance since everything was mixed in, this is NOT normal. The lady said everything is label, which I let her know it wasn't and was mixed in. She handed me which possibly was a snickers cookie, it seemed old and hard. I placed that one back and grabbed a softer one. I ordered a caramel macchiato, small. She started making the drink and said she was out of caramel, did I want another flavor? I said sure just do pistachio. The original drink was listed at $4 and the larger $4.50. She rung the drink up as $6. I waited thinking she was going to adjust it, then she asked cash or card? I mentioned the price error. She scoffed that she had to made modifications because they were out of caramel. I told her NOTHING on the menu was $6 and it was a replacement syrup. It was ok, I'll just get the cookie. In a very combative tone she asked, what am I supposed to do with this drink? I shared how I was unfamiliar with their policies. She went on and on about how she made the drink and in her exact words, "I can't explain why it is $6, it just is." At that point I told her I would not be purchasing anything and left. This is a place I enjoyed going to, I wouldn't be surprised if they close soon due to poor service and quality.

I googled and found Confections by Lynn, called and asked if she'd recently donated and to my delight she said yes. I ordered another apple pie and a cherry pie for thanksgiving and boy she didn't disappoint. My guests kept asking if I'd ordered from some high end bakery that I spent a ton of money for. I not only highly recommend Confections by Lynn but look forward to ordering more pies for the holidays. I had my grandkids with me when I arrived for pick up and the ambience couldn't have been more appealing.
