All very good, bigger size than average. They also have a crescent donut which looks like an empanada. (See pictures). I usually don't get cake donut because the ones from Tim Horton are gross and dry. But Hinkley do it right . They are tender in the inside and the taste like a muffin.

All the employees were very helpful, paricularly the bearded fellow working the taps on the second floor. My wife and I shared a flight of ciders. They were all tasty, but our favorite was the cherry. We then each had on beer - both tasty. For food, the table shared pretzel bites and cheese curds. The curds were the real standout! Then we shared a veggie pizza with ham. Our kids each had the kids pizzas - one pepperoni and one meal lovers. All the pizzas were good, but the kids crust really excelled due to its fluffiness. Afterwards, we picked half a dozen donuts. Everyone enjoyed them - me choosing the raspberry jelly donut. Yum! Grounds are nice, lots of parking. Seems like they have concerts sometimes, as we saw advertisements for them. We had a great time!

They ran out of the Maple glazed when I came so I got the Bear Claw, Apple Fritter, and decided to try their Cinnamon Roll that was more flaky. It's always so hard choosing because everything looks amazing!! Service is great and the young lady was very friendly. Everything tasted fantastic and that flaky Cinnamon Roll had a great sweet and buttery flavor!! I still prefer the glazed but it was good! Since I didn't have anyone to share with and wanted to try a few things, I decided on the donut holes. Plus a coffee. Pricing is very fair -- which is hard to find these days. I've never been or heard of this place before, but I'm a sucker for apple cider treats. So I drove up, parked, and walked inside. Its very antique looking on the inside, like the establishment is in its original state since opening years ago. In any case, customer service was very nice. I ordered myself two donuts, one powdered apple cider and one regular apple cider. They were okay. I could taste the hint of cider in the donuts, but it was too sugary for me. I ended up saving the rest for the kiddos.

Even more impressive, my husband said the apple fritters haven't changed and taste exactly how he remembers it from undergrad. We just went in for some apple fritters but left with a giant box: 3 apple fritters, 2 glazed donuts, 2 cider donuts with cinnamon sugar, and 2 eclairs with custard filling. Those apple fritters were massive and heavy! We split one with a black coffee and it was amazing. Then, we split a glazed donut. Generally, as far as donuts go, my all time fav is a plain glazed. This was the best apple fritter and glazed donut I've ever had! Actually! We shared the rest of the box with our family and grazed on them throughout the weekend. Definitely worth going out of your way to pop in for a sweet treat if you're in Ypsilanti, or the Ann Arbor/Detroit area.

I wasn't sure if he was joking or what, I assume joking but that was my very first impression walking in and it didn't set a great tone for me. The food redeemed it tho. I got the #19 sandwich and it's a HONKER! It's huge. Plenty of food for 14$. Also tried the donuts and bagels. Everything was really solid. Overall not a great first impression walking in but would be back if in the area.
