Love getting donuts at a new donut place when I travel across the country. Was passing through so looked up the closest non chain donut place and made a visit. Glaze and frostings are sweet and yummy but the doughnuts and doughnut holes just seemed a bit on the dry side comparatively. I have been visiting this pace for years. Always has been a great place for homemade donuts and great subs. Recently it was sold to another local business owner and unfortunately there has been a noticeable difference. I would frequent this place usually during lunch, grab a sub and a donut. There are times that there is very limited variety of donuts at lunch time and most of the time the donut taste like it's a day old. The subs were always great. Good sub at a decent price. Never thought that it would be worth my while to just go to subway. I was able to get 4 pickles for a whole sub and 6 black olives. Yaaa! The Scrappie comes with two cheeses. All this means is that every other piece will be a different cheese. Not two cheese stacked on the sandwich. Sad to see a great little place go cheap. This is what kills the restaurant business is when they cut corners. As far as the service goes you are always greeted by someone and they are always friendly and willing to get you what you need. read more

Another of my MUST do's when I go visit family in Adrian. NOBODY makes donuts like Morning Fresh bakeries! I am an early riser and my internal clock is set for 5AM - so I always get up early and go get coffee and at least a couple of donuts before the rest of my family even opens their eyes. Had my first pączki for Fat Tuesday and it was completely worth it. Bought two, and they were only $1 each. The raspberry was good, but the cream filled was better. Quite delicious. The atmosphere borders on Lynchian. At least somewhat reminiscent of Twin Peaks. But no pie (at least none that I saw). Worth a trip in such a sleepy town. read more

have visited only a couple of times over the last couple of years. they just aren't good any more. got a half dozen which the lady stuffed into a small bag; this i hate. two were wrong since i could not see what she was stuffing in. was not happy with the quality, and had for these couple of years been hoping for pumpkin by this time of year. they had been great a few years ago. no luck on pumpkin again. doubt i will ever return. read more

The doughnuts are delicious but the prices are growing more and more bitter. If you go in the morning the selection may be worth the price but by the afternoon the selection is so limited it is not worth the trip. Overall, good but not as good as in the past. read more

Fresh and delicious! Love the cream-filled long johns! The outward appearance of the shop does not do justice to the baked goods waiting to be discovered inside.
