I've been visiting Benny's for the last 40 years and have always enjoyed their chocolate Long Johns. They also make the most delicious seasonal cookies you can imagine. Professionally decorated, eye-catching, they really set the tone for the holidays and put a smile on whoever picks one up to consume it. I just picked up some pumpkin looking cookies this morning for the office staff. And everyone is enjoying them. Can't recommend Benny's enough. as they are open very early when you are starting your day. They also employ some of the sweetest young high schoolers you'll ever meet, which says a lot about the establishment.

So every year, I call in advance to order 3-4 dozen soft pretzels for pick up. Benny's always has my order ready, are super friendly and the soft pretzels are amazing! This was my first time stopping into Holy Toledough after trying pretty much every local place I…read morecould in the past 4 years living here and this place is my new favorite. I got a dozen to try and taste test, and as someone who typically says the traditional donut route and does not venture out much, this place offered lots of new donut combos I've never tried before. It's a smaller shop with no seating area on the inside so be prepared for grab and go. The prices are high for donuts in my opinion but you also are paying for much more then your typical donut and decorations. The donuts tasted good as well as looked very cool. I'm a traditional donut girl but it was very cool to try a place like this with lots of combinations. The staff was kind and very friendly and I appreciated getting to chat with them a bit more.

Coffee was just ok, they do not have any other sweetens other than table sugar, so if you are like me bring your own. Pleasant visit, but also the chairs were not that big so comfort is not there so make it a short visit or pick up and take home. Both owners were pleasant funny and talked to us for a bit regarding the loss of power around town. Good visit.

I love the concept behind It's a Good Day Donuts and was really excited to try them after reading…read moreabout them. Maybe their vegan options are better, but I've ordered non-vegan donuts from them on three separate occasions and unfortunately was disappointed with my experiences so far I tried their yeast and cake donuts at one of their pop-ups and also at the Ypsi Farmers Market. I liked the flavor of the strawberry lemon glaze on the cake donuts ($5 for 2 pack), but the donut texture was very eggy and wet, and one was hollow inside. The yeast donuts I tried were the cinnamon swirl and the ginger-glazed, blueberry-filled flavors ($3.13 each). The blueberry ginger donut was extremely dense (to the point where I wouldn't have thought it was a donut if I didn't buy it) and had almost no blueberry filling inside. The cinnamon swirl seemed better initially but turned out to have a lot of raw dough inside. Many others seem to love their donuts, and they sell out quickly at their pop-ups, so it's possible that they make some good donuts but have significant quality control issues.

It's a little off the beaten path, so a hidden gem! Seems like they started selling baking supplies (which they still sell!) but now sell baked goodies. I stopped in on a Saturday morning and was surprised that there was a line and that they had sold out of a few things, but I still had: *Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich - Got this one for the hubby & he said it was good! *Sausage Egg and Cheese Bagel Bomb - DELISH. Wow, just perfectly seasoned and perfectly baked. There was not a soggy bit in sight even though I'd imagine something like this could get soggy really easily. It's basically like a robust stuffed bagel. They have three different types so I'll have to come back to try the other two. They had a good assortment of doughnuts but I didn't try any. Ambience here is no frills and you still feel like you're in the 70's/80's but it's kinda charming that way -- like the way it is when you walk into Benny's Bakery!
