Storefront for Panera Adrian
Mark K.

I was very happy to see Panera come to Adrian. It was an interesting transformation of the the old Steak and Shake that facilitated its landing spot. Hence, the facility looks a bit different on both the inside and the outside compared to a typical Panera establishment. The seating area is a bit small as is the counter area. But it works. They don't call it an Express location but it has that feel. The service here could use some polish but I am guessing it will get there. It's not bad right now as the counter workers are polite but hey are not quite as efficient as I'm sure they will eventually be. The wait time on the food is also a little longer than I would typically experience at Panera. They have all of the same favorites I have come to enjoy at Panera shops everywhere. I have been in twice now and have migrated to my typical Pick-2 choices. I have had the Summer Corn Chowder twice. One time I paired that with the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and on the other occasion I opted for the Southwest Chili Lime Ranch Salad. I was very happy with my dinners in both cases. Some are a little taken aback about prices at Panera but I think it is a pretty good deal. We have gotten away for about $11 to $12 per person each time we have visited. I am happy with the value this presents. I will be a regular visitor here as I have been a big Panera fan for a long time.

My favorite chicken green goddess salad. Thanks for a great organization for this gift card

I come here a lot and this time the workers refused to serve us until 15 minutes after we arrived. Highly disappointed.

Constantly out of avocado. Need to figure that out. Chipotle down the road always has avocado.

Fricker's - Frickin' Chicken Chunks with Teriyaki Sauce at Frickers Adrian

Fricker's

Fricker's is a good spot to watch a game while enjoying a meal that won't break the bank. We have…read morebeen there a dozen times over the years we have lived in Adrian and every time we visit, I walk away wondering why we don't go there a little more often. This place is part of a regional chain with 24 locations at the time of this writing. Twenty-two (22) are in Ohio, one is in Indiana and this shop is the only one in Michigan. This particular establishment is well placed as it is easy to find on S. Main St. near Beecher. The storefront and internal decor are standard corporate design as the concept is meant to present the appearance of a simple, rustic neighborhood bar. The seating area is relatively spacious and, of course, the large bar area is prominently placed, front and center. There are always a couple of games or at least sports programming playing. The menu presents standard bar fare featuring wings as its signature offering. The food there is actually relatively good and there are a couple of healthy options, such as salads, among the copious fried fare. The service has generally been pretty good each time we have visited. I do not recall a bad experience. One of the best features besides the atmosphere are the prices. This is truly one of the best values in Adrian as the cost will not break the bank. On our last visit, the cost for our party of three was $13 per person with appetizer, entrees, drinks, tip and tax. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are in Adrian and like bar food. This establishment is usually energetic with a sports theme if you like that sort of atmosphere. Best of all, it is quite a good deal which is a big part of what makes it popular.

I told my waiter (who was actually very nice) and asked who made the drink. She said it was the manager. I let her know the drink wasn't good and asked if I could get something else, which I think is reasonable. What really turned me off was the manager trying to make me pay for the drink anyway. That's just not good customer service. Definitely won't be coming back
