The service definitely declined over a year ago. When we came in I felt I forced them to smile back at me. I'm a very peppy gal and a ray of sunshine, so I always say hello. We could not find the Apple cider, and the gal at the front check out was near us so I asked her, her tone of voice was not a nice one it was forced as a reply. On check out the same gal was going to put the donuts and the cider together in the same bag, I stopped her and asked her to please put the cider in a separate bag so that the donuts do not get squished by the cider. Plus the cider was cold and fresh out the fridge. Her look when I asked her (and I asked super nicely) was like a deer on the headlights. She did reply "Sure thing" but wow was that uncomfortable. We had just spent $22.00 on donuts and cider for 2 and you mean to tell me that's what o deserve? No way no no no no no. It's not like y'all are down the street from us. Kapnicks is a fabulous fruit farm market and orchard. They have fresh baked goods and a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. We love their cider! Being there just gives you wholesome farm vibes. I bought their Seven Grain bread at the Northville Farmers Market and fell in love with it! Of course, I discovered this bread at the last farmers market of the year. On a sunny Saturday we drove to Britton to get more bread (hey, it's pandemic and not much going on so driving 90 min to buy a loaf of bread was a treat). The orchard itself looks small but when we entered the market, we were pleasantly surprised at all the things they had - fudge, cookies, candy, veggies, candles, etc. we wound up getting the bread (yeah!) and a few other snacks. read more

This city girl loves this country road store! Whenever I come to Michigan, I have to come here and get their tasty apple cider slush and delicious gummy bears! Weird combo but I don't eat the gummy bears with the slush. Haha! No matter how cold it is here compared to sunny L.A., their apple cider slush taste the best in the winter time! Their gummy bears and other gummies are really soft and chewy, not hard like some other ones I've ever had. I always have to buy bagfuls whenever I visit. There is a lot of made in Michigan items and I think that is awesome. I bought some delicious no sugar added preserves. I have finally found my all time favorite orchard/ cider mill and so happy about it. From the delish donuts and cider ( slushy optional ) to the grape vines, pumpkins , apple picking , tractor riding and cute animals. This cider mill has it ALL and I want to introduce it to ALL my friends and family ! Kapnick's cider is great. I stopped in today with the crazy hope that there would be some left even though it is summer. Sadly, no cider, but I didn't think there would be. I did pick up some delicious strawberries and some strawberries & cream doughnuts. I don't really like doughnuts, but they were okay. Kapnick's carries a small assortment of beer and wine and can be a convenient place to just run in if you need something and don't mind paying a little bit more for convenience. In the fall, it is really fun to go and pick pumpkins and apples. I have picked blueberries the in the past as well. Overall, the bakery is nice and there is a fun variety of candy and baked goods. The staff is always friendly. If you can go in the fall for cider, that is the best!! read more

I would have definitely given them at least four stars if not for one thing: They are the orchard associated with Tecumseh's Appleumpkin festival. Despite the fact that they get thousands of people at their orchard on those two days, they have only two tiny porta-potties! No handicap bathroom at all! I even asked in the store if there was somewhere for my handicapped companion to use the bathroom, and they confirmed that the two tiny, gross porta-potties are all that they had. I understand a business like this orchard using portible toilets, but these were awful. By noon during the Appleumpkin, they didn't even have toilet paper! Don't they legally need a bathroom for handicapped people? At least have the porta-potties cleaned before and/or during the festival. How cheap of the orchard to not have better facilities when they make TONS of money from the Appleumpkin. I think it's incredibly selfish and awful. Their products are good, but I can't give them my business when they overlook the basic needs of patrons. read more

Been Apple picking here for few years. Love Jonathon apples and they deliver. Usually the store area is full of baked goods and fruits and all types of candies and jellies. This day was really empty on everything. I am hoping it is because they have their annual harvest festival this weekend and are getting ready. Only complaint we have is the staff could project some happiness! Everyone seems tired and non-talkative each time. Customer service needs help. Kapnick's Orchard is the Best Little Country Store in South Eastern Michigan. Well worth your time to take the Drive Especially during their Apple Festival. Cider is fresh pressed and natural. Bakery is top notch, they make their own fudge and some candy. Lots of Fruit to choose from. Fresh Jams and Jelly's. What more do you want. I always make it a trip when every I go to Michigan, to go there when I visit a relative. There Christmas Gift Baskets will bring a smile to any ones face. They offer local delivery. Don't buy from one of the big on line Christmas stores for food gifts. You call ask them what they have they will put a basket together just for you. Choose Fresh Fruit, Fresh Baked goods, Jams, Cheese, Sausage, Fudge, Candy for better prices then you can get any where else and they will deliver in a about 20 mile radius from their store. read more

I have regularly visited the Kapnick stand at the Tuesday Saline farmers market in the library/school parking lot. The fruit is great, I canned sour cherries this year and the peaches are excellent. I canned them and made jam from both. I will also go back for their apples. The fellow is always nice, they take plastic and will give you a great price on larger quantities. Consistency and reliability is always important. While sometime I suspect some produce from other stands come from out of stateI always ask because I have seen produce at these farmers markets that could not be from Michigan because the season is too early. The staff at the farmers market in canton is great but the head baker and ownership are very disrespectful and rude to their customers. They show no appreciation to customers, I would stay away from building a reputation of being a regular customer they won't show you any respect they will start making you prepay for everything or even worse. read more
