Cheese board built from purchases at Boulevard Marketplace

I love this little market. This is the ultimate shop for building cheese boards or for a picnic. Gourmet cheese, crackers, nuts, jams, chocolate, cured meats, olives, and so much more. We picked up honeycomb, three cheeses, chocolate, salami and olive tapenade. I made a great cheeseboard for dinner that night. So glad we stopped in. The staff is amazingly friendly and happy to chat. Lovely place.

I am a big fan! The selections of wine, cheese, chocolates and other treats here are unbeatable for this area. I also love the location in the vintage corner storefront they occupy in downtown Tecumseh. They've done a great job with their interior arrangement. While it's cozy, it's also a very pleasant experience to look around at all of the amazing options they offer. Every staff member with whom I've dealt has been very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We particularly like the Ruby Rosé grapefruit wine they have available on occasion. It's a great place for gift shopping. As an on-line shopping skeptic, this was a great option for me to do hands-on hunting in order to put together a Mother's Day basket for my wife during the COVID crisis, when most other retail stores were under forced closure.

I really liked this place. Between the wine, cheese, imported balsamic and smoked and cured meats it had a really cool European feel. They also have a great chocolate, coffee and tea selection. I picked up a bag of a great key west loose leaf tea blend. As you shop you can also order one of their awesome sandwiches. I tried the St Germain with prosciutto, Brie, lettuce and balsamic. The place is really an awesome find that I didn't expect to run across in Tecumseh.

Good variety and enough samples to find your perfect cheese! I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

We loved this place, if I could have been able to buy all the cheese I would have done it for sure…read more So many delicious cheese flavors and styles plus other goodies you might need if you want to create your own cheese/Charcuterie board. Also, they have a curated variety of imported and US-made food products. And house tools for cheese lovers (even kits to make cheese). Everyone here is very friendly, and knowledgeable about cheese, and you can tell they care about their clients and community. It is a very cute place, a paradise for cheese lovers like me. Everything is very well organized, and well taking care of and clean. They also have wines, ciders and beers to go there.

Glad I ended up going to brunch nearby. Wanted to check out their Gouda and their goat milk offerings. Could use some yummy goat milk cheese after all, right? Decided to try several of their different goat cheese Goudas. I learned that I prefer their harder cheeses, not fond of the soft cheese unless it's in a salad or something. I tried their midnight moon, ballerina, smoke, Beemster and honeybee. I ended up purchasing two 1/4 of each of the harder cheeses (Midnight moon, Beemster and Honey Bee) $46.86. The ballerina and smoked is a softer cheese and doesn't have as much flavor as the midnight moon. The midnight moon has the most defined flavor out of all that I tried today. More expensive than I would have liked, but fantastic that you can try many of them. The female staffer was more knowledgeable about the cheeses than the younger male staffer, he was nice to work with. She was just as nice.

Full disclosure: I stole a loaf of bread from this store. It's true, folks, no lie…read more I was around 7 or 8 years old when the family went to Cheese Haven to buy some things for the picnic we had planned later that afternoon. I was told to carry the loaf of French bread as they looked around. As it were, I quickly got separated from my mother and father, and so with bread in hand, I walked out the door looking for them. I found my father outside having a smoke, and when he saw that loaf of bread, well, he wasn't very happy about it, but then again, he didn't make me take it back in either. So, many decades later: * The statute of limitations has passed. * I've made peace with my guilty conscience. * So I stopped in again, a few weeks ago What I found was the same fun, kitschy, touristy place that it used to be. It's full of some things you need and some things you'll just want. They've got an impressive deli with all kinds of smoked meats and cheeses. Of course, all that needs to be washed down with some of their eclectic selection of sodas. Looking for something more adult? They have a huge selection of local Ohio beers and wines. If you're into the sweet and salty, there's plenty of candy and snacks. If you like spice, you'll find a surprisingly good selection of hot sauces too. Their prices are tourist haunt reasonable, so the cash register tally shouldn't be much of a surprise. Cheese Haven is a solid locally owned business that promotes Ohio based products with some good local stuff from all over the area. It'll delight and excite the younger ones and give some nostalgic feelings to the older ones. In any case, it's a lot of fun and a delicious stop while you're in the area. For me? Easily, 5 stars.

We have been visiting for 60 years, and find this shop to be delightful; the nearby retail area has greatly developed. The title of "Walleye Capital of the World" is primarily claimed by two major locations: Lake of the Woods in Baudette, Minnesota, and Lake Erie in Port Clinton, Ohio. Port Clinton offers neat holiday experiences and the smoked cheese from Cheese Haven is a family tradition. Caveat: traffic may be heavy in this area; avoid u-turns.

I stopped by here for the first time this week - I had a work appointment at Zingerman's Bakehouse,…read moreand figured I'd try out the Creamery and the candy store next door too. I am a big Swiss fan so I asked if they had any - I ended up buying a small piece of one, which ended up being tasty, and also an aged cheddar they had, called Prairie Farms - they had a sample of it and it was DELICIOUS, which swayed me to try it. They also sell tiny little charcuterie boxes here and even big things of gelato. Everything looked really good. Staff is also very friendly - the girl behind the counter is a recent UM grad so we talked about that, I'm a 2009 alum. $6-7 for a small block of cheese is pretty standard for gourmet cheeses too, so I didn't think it was super pricey (although they did have some for $15+). I definitely want to stop by here again the next time I'm in A2.

After a disappointing lunch in Ypsi, we turned to Yelp for something sweet…read more How 'bout Gelato? Head to Zingerman's Creamery! Quickly. This is an excellent stop for all things dairy. Mostly, cheese for me. Today I picked up: six ounces of a very creamy Goat cream cheese, a smoked salmon cream cheese and a Goat feta. Since we had a cooler, I also bought a half pound of Detroit Street Brick cheese. It begins as a dense, crumbly cheese with a twist of lemon and ages into more of a savory, spicy flavour. The star of the show is the gelato. I say the best is the Coffee flavour. Closely followed by the Peanut Butter chocolate and the Dark chocolate. Today we split a Cherry Cream Cheese Gelato. It really hit the spot. The prices are a bit steep. You're paying for quality, not quantity. Always an education talking cheese with these folks! 08/24
