I ordered the standard Social burger cooked medium rare and sweet potato tots. The burger arrived promptly, juicy, warm and had good beef flavor. The lettuce, (winter) tomato , onion and pickles were fresh and crisp. The (American?) cheese was fully melted, thank you very much. The bun was a miss. The top of the bun was cool to the touch. It seems to have spent a few fleeting moments begin toasted, but was not any shade of golden brown. Closer to stale than toasted. And the bottom bun disintegrated on the third bite. I finished eating my burger with a fork and knife. Will I return? Probably not. Inconvenient for me and while good, there are better options. The portion of tots was satisfactory and they were served warm. The dining room is your standard upscale sports bar. The restroom was clean.

I went with a side of Mac and cheese as well as a grilled chicken Cesar salad. It was pretty good! The Mac and cheese can be customized here with additional items ranging from hotdogs, bacon and much more. I just kept it plain. The portions are great for the price. The restaurant was very clean and is spacious. For the area I would say it is one of the better options. Service was very good and friendly too! I would come back while in the area.

Breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, al pastor tacos…read more The short review: absolutely incredible service and food. This place is a hidden gem and let me say, they do not miss with anything they serve. If you're in Fremont, this is a must stop for breakfast or lunch. Full review: alright so I had a lot to say about this place and I know some people just rant to know if its good or not so I made a short review. Anyway the full of it is that a group of us were on tdy for the military and we stayed in Fremont for two weeks. We got insanely lucky to discover this place early because everyone there were amazing and very welcoming. The food was mind boggling because let's be honest, I was not expecting incredible Mexican food in Fremont but we tried it one morning and we became daily customers into we left. The breakfast burrito is not limited by the meart selection like a lot of places. I was able to get Al Pastor in it and if you never had that in your breakfast burrito, get it. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. I just want to end it by saying we had a great time seeing you guys every day and looked forward to seeing everyone. You guys are awesome and hope to see you again if we are ever back in town.

The sauces as I went with the divorced one and I added egg and chorizo (chorizo was amazing) just so good. Cute little place but enough seating for more than 20 people. All of the service staff has changed, and their waitresses are no longer friendly or inviting. Our recent visit (in a long time) resulted us having a waitress who was just completely clueless. She asked for our drink orders upon sitting, she came back with one persons drink, and the others were sitting there for at least 15 minutes without their drink. When she finally came back, she forgot the order (that she wrote down) and had to retrieve the remaining drinks. She then took our order, but was just really rude. When asking about a menu item she laughed in our faces and talked down to us about it (we wanted to make sure that the eggs were actually poached for the eggs Benedict). About 10-20 minutes later, she walked back to the table, clearly flustered, and asked "okay, what do you guys want to order?" To which we replied that she had already taken our order. She looked blankly at our table, and said "who, me? Or someone else?" It was genuinely concerning. At this point, we've been at the diner for about 30 minutes, finally have drinks, but no food. When she finally returns with a tray full of food, the order is correct, but, lo and behold, the eggs on BOTH Benedict's are essentially hard boiled, and to top it off, there were bits of egg shells throughout the dishes. Overall, our experience was so much less than desirable, and I can honestly say that we will not be returning. Bring back the old City Limits diner, get rid of the really bad waitstaff, and improve the kitchen practices.

This is an interesting spot in downtown Dundee. Located on the fringe of the business district in…read morewhat appears to have been a residential property built several decades ago, it could be easy to overlook. But it is done very nicely inside with a very inviting ambiance and it has an attractive appeal. I am giving this place the benefit of the doubt with four stars because it is a bit of a mixed review. Our experience was mostly positive, however. As mentioned, the decor is quite lovely. It exudes the country style ambiance and I like the way their front counter is set up to present a country store look. But it seems to be a country store and deli in one. I think they could do a good job of this except they really don't quite have the space to pull it off as well as they could. It's a bit cramped and the seating space is very, very limited with perhaps enough room for six or eight patrons. We were fortunate no one else was there when we visited such that we were able to sit at one of the tables to have our lunch. To be fair, they may be targeting take-away patrons more than eat-in customers. Another aspect of the mixed reviews was the food. First, I have to say I loved the creative names they presented for their daily fare in honor of Christmas, using the Home Alone movie as a basis. For example, I had the Look-What-You-Did-You-Little-Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The menu was rather limited in number of offerings, but there were enough. The soups were quite tempting with Stuffed Pepper and Baked Potato available. Both were excellent. My wife made a lunch just from the Stuffed Pepper soup. The Jerk Chicken, however, did not have much jerk to it. It might have been better named Exemplar or Paragon Chicken, because it was not at all Jerky. In fact, it was rather plain and dry. I saved half and used a mayo/mustard combo as a dip when I ate my leftover...and it was much better. I will say that the portion was very good, however. It was more than I needed to eat in one sitting. The prices also took me a little aback. For two cups of soup, one wrap with chips, a coffee, a latte, a cookie and a gift container of five macarons, our total bill was $43.00. Take away the macarons, which were not part of lunch, and it was still $27. But given that my wife's lunch was a cup of soup, a latte and half a cookie, $13.50 per person is a little steep. Maybe it's just that everything is getting over-the-top expensive everywhere, but this just struck me as a bit much. Overall, it was a very pleasant little shop with good presentation, good coffee, tasty soup and nice sweets. The wrap needed a little something extra but otherwise, it was pretty good. I'd like to give it another try sometime.

We were amazed at the quality and our guests were too! We had a veggie tray with hummus and artichoke spinach dip, a fruit tray with honey yogurt, turkey pesto sliders and more. Our families were thrilled to have something to eat after traveling :). And did I say we had pecan and key lime pie too? Outstanding. On Saturday, the yogurt bar with fixings like granola, dried Michigan cherries, wild blueberries and almonds were the biggest hit of the party. The food was fresh, clearly labeled and came with serving spoons etc. we did go pick it up and supplied paper plates, silver ware and drinks ourselves. Highly recommended!
