Geek Squad told me the hard drive was corrupted and that the data recovery would be complicated and expensive. Several places wanted me to ship my PC to them either via FedEx or an Uber service. Call me old school, but I'd very much prefer to lay eyes on the person who is going to be digging around in my sensitive files. Every other place I contacted quoted upwards of $1500 just to attempt recovery. I was about to just have my meltdown and then start from scratch on a new machine. After a software update, my monitor would only display black (aside from a weird "sleep" message)…read more PC turns on, monitor does display the sleep language but nothing else. Computer Doctor answered my call and told me I could drop computer off. I did so, and within a couple of hours, he let me know he was working on it. That same evening, he then texted me to let me know it was fixed (it was!). Thank you very much, and highly recommend Computer Doctor. He does go in and out from his office so you may need to time it a bit, but well worth it.
