CJ at MacSveen Technical Services is a lifesaver--plain and simple. I brought my 17-year-old PC to Best Buy after getting the dreaded blue screen of death. Geek Squad told me the hard drive was corrupted and that the data recovery would be complicated and expensive. Several places wanted me to ship my PC to them either via FedEx or an Uber service. Call me old school, but I'd very much prefer to lay eyes on the person who is going to be digging around in my sensitive files. I needed to have a new printer set up, replacing my 13 yr old printer, connected to my two Windows 11 desktops. I originally thought I could just swap out the old...but no way. Everything is done via wifi these days. I hired Chris for the job. It took 2-1/2 hours but it got done, and now I can print not only from the computers, but also from my tablet and cell phone! Love the upgrades. Too bad setup is so complex! Chris was very patient and got everything working. Highly recommend him! His prices are very reasonable. read more

First off thank you CJ for the prompt service on our laptop. We had a horrible experience with this laptop from the day we purchased it and when it finally crashed we had items on the hard drive that needed to be recovered. I am somewhat techy and everything that I was capable of I did and could not even find the drive using all my resources. (I do not recommend messing with computers if you do not know exactly what you are doing) So I called CJ and he scheduled me for the next business day and in one night he recovered our items and tried a few things to see if he could fix our system to actually run. Great service for a great price... the 5 star was not just for the service but also the conversation... not to say that CJ had to but he took a few extra minutes to converse about the problem and really just talked about things, friendly, kind, and those extra minutes deserve a full 5 stars:) . ... Chris quoted me a flat rate price to install my graphics card...unlike other computer businesses that quoted me there hourly rate to just change my card. Can't say enough good things about CJ and his business. We lost everything on our computers and CJ helped us recover our data quickly. His rates are incredibly reasonable... a fraction of what we were being quoted by other companies. And, he runs a mobile service. So, he came and picked up our computers and brought them back. He's a great guy who goes above and beyond, helping give us tips on how we can run our network better. And, he's honest and trustworthy. We were thinking to hire him to do some other computer work and he actually advised us against it suggesting another route that was more cost-effective for us in the long run. Finding a good reliable computer technician feels a lot like finding a good honest mechanic. CJ is definitely one of the best. I know less about computers than I do about anything else. For me they are like a car, I put gas in it and I expect it to go. So when my MacBook Pro took a catastrophic crap at work I was a bit dismayed because I don't know how to fix it. I got a blank screen with a flashing folder on it which I thought signaled a huge ass chewing from my wife for losing all the pictures of our kids and vacations etc. I did a quick google search and came across MacSveen. Placed a call and C.J. answered the phone and we discussed my problem and how to proceed. The best part is that he talked to me in terms that I could understand and not like my IT guy at work who has a tendency to mock those that don't understand his particular skill. He arranged to meet me after work to pick up my machine at my house. DUDE CAME TO MY HOUSE AFTER BUSINESS HOURS TO GRAB MY COMPUTER! Kept me constantly updated with calls and text messages and in about a week had my Mac running like it was brand new. Problem solved, problem staying solved and at a much better price. I had a wireless communications issue with my laptop and printer. I made an appointment with CJ on Monday and he came by my home the next day, yesterday. He resolved the problem and cleaned up some other things with my system and did some other tests. The bottom line is he knows his stuff and was very professional and explained things so a non-tech person can understand.
