Geek Squad told me the hard drive was corrupted and that the data recovery would be complicated and expensive. Several places wanted me to ship my PC to them either via FedEx or an Uber service. Call me old school, but I'd very much prefer to lay eyes on the person who is going to be digging around in my sensitive files. Every other place I contacted quoted upwards of $1500 just to attempt recovery. I was about to just have my meltdown and then start from scratch on a new machine. Then I found CJ's Yelp page--and I instantly knew he was the right person. I've been surrounded by tech guys my whole life (past boyfriends, my husband, my son, and my father-all in tech), so I know a good one when I meet one. CJ is the tech guy whose card you want readily available. Put his # in your phone, stick his card to your forehead...whatever you need to do to remember who to call in a PC crisis. I trusted CJ with my most important device, and he did the impossible--he got everything back. Not just some of it. All of it. Documents, photos, irreplaceable files--recovered with care, precision, and professionalism. His pricing is incredibly fair, his communication is excellent, and his service is beyond top-notch. Before you even think about going to Best Buy, call CJ. You'll be so glad you did. Thank you so much, CJ!

Unfortunately, my computer began to slow down and became very unresponsive, which made me extremely anxious since I don't have an IT team to turn to. I found Acamar Computer Services on Yelp and decided to contact Evan based on his excellent reviews. Everything I read was accurate! After explaining the urgency of my situation, Evan was able to see me that afternoon. During the consultation, I mentioned that I was prepared to hear that I needed to buy a new computer, considering I had purchased mine in 2021. However, after just a few minutes, Evan informed me that my hardware was in good condition. He only needed to address the "software bloat" to get my computer back in order. He also assured me that once this was done, I would likely have another two years before needing to worry about replacing my computer. We spoke on a Friday, and he kindly asked if I needed my computer back over the weekend or if I was okay leaving it for him to start working on it the following Monday afternoon. I chose to wait until Monday so I could finish a few more tasks. I dropped off my computer on Monday evening and picked it up the next day. Evan took the time to explain in detail everything he had done and how each change improved my computer. Evan is extremely talented, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. His pricing is very competitive and well worth every dollar spent. His primary focus is on delivering exceptional customer service, which is exactly what Acamar provides. I informed Evan that he is now part of "The Chrysalys Team" and will be my go-to IT professional for all my computer needs moving forward. I cannot recommend Acamar highly enough. Evan is a lifesaver!
