Refreshing beverage in Honolulu, Hawaii... It was quite warm today. The high was supposedly 84°F, but it felt like 90°F. We thought that a nice cold drink would be great! Teapresso Bar at Ala Moana Center is located on the Ground Level on the Mauka side of the Mall - near Ringer Hut and Massage Palace. Located between Lupicia Tea and Brug Bakery, the interior of this Teapresso Bar is unique! We felt like we were underwater with the sea creatures! Check it out for yourself! We decided to get the Jasmine Dragon. It wasn't bad - it's just that there was a lot of ice in the cup! Next time, i guess we'll ask for less ice. The guy at the counter didn't ask. He only asked if we wanted any toppings. Well, the cover on top of the cup was cute. We should have gotten more than one drink to compare... LOL! read more

Overall, okay. Good refreshing drink. The cashier did not mention that there was a 3% added credit card charge. It would have been nice to know. I would have used cash. For that I give 1 star less. The ambience was cramped and needs to be spruced up. It is a small shop, though. It is pretty mid. My friend who got boba said his bobas were soft, but the drink was meh. Came here for my first boba drink of the year. And as always, refreshing! First of all the interior design was the cutest. It also looks so real as I am staring on it for a long time. It was a fun place to chill with friends while sipping your drinks. Customer service was great. The staff were so friendly. The drinks we ordered were good. It was a bit humid outside so the drink was a perfect quench thirster. Would definitely love to come back here and grab drinks again. Conveniently located at Ala Moana Center. Conveniently located in Ala Moana for a quick drink while you shop. I've ordered the same drink twice and sadly, it was inconsistent. The first time, the drink was done really well. The flavors were mixed and proportioned well and I loved it so much that I ordered it a second time. The second time, the drink tasted like it wasn't mixed. There were formations of the powder still in the drink and it made the drink very sandy so that I coughed every time I took a sip. This made it discouraging to return. $8 for a drink like that was not worth it. read more

Customer service was friendly but drinks were not enjoyable, almost undrinkable. I ordered the hojicha milk tea (with oat milk 1 dollar extra and boba also extra) and the avocado smoothie with boba. The bobas in both drinks were squishy, not that chewy... also not sweet at all. The hojicha was not mixed well, so it was gritty and you could still see the powder. The avocado smoothie did not have condensed milk so they replaced it with sugar, but it still tested like milky water. Barely any avocado, no flavor. Spent 20 bucks... Would not come back. The one star is for the service only. The drinks from Teapresso Bar are always very good. I got an email from Teapresso saying they were giving me a BOGO drink for my birthday. I pulled it up my on phone and the cashier insisted that I could only redeem it at the Keeaumoku location. However, it did not say that. There was one reward that states Hilo only, but it wasn't the birthday one. I didn't want to argue with her, so I paid for my two drinks. Later on that night I went to the Keeaumoku location and redeemed it there. I asked if I could have redeemed it at any location and the cashier said yes. All I had to do was put my phone number on the keypad and it would have pulled it up. I looked at my Ala Moana receipt and the name on it was Faith. Faith needs more training. This is the third teapresso to open in the Ala Moana area. This location is in the mall, downstairs by Lupica. Like all the other teapresso bars, they offer a variety of drinks and pride themselves in using quality ingredients, not powders. I noticed they have a new yogurt series and chose the mango flavor. I didn't realize it would have purple rice in it. I'm not really a fan of purple rice so I wonder if I could ask for no purple rice in the future. The flavor of the mango yogurt was good though! I'd get it again. They have all the drinks other teapressos have like iced teas, milk teas and smoothies. I like the variety of both drinks and toppings because there is always something different I can try. I usually ask the workers what their favorites are and I've liked all the iced teas and milk teas I've gotten to try over the years that way. In therms of taste and quality, I know teapresso uses better ingredients but sometimes the flavors don't hit the way they do at other places. I'd say teapresso is a stable and convenient place to get drinks but it's not my favorite. The interior of this location is really nicely painted; it has several different marine animals. I felt like I was under the sea. They also have a few tables in the small space. The workers were nice and the location is convenient. I'll probably be back! read more

This is one of a few locations in Honolulu. While visiting the ala Moana shopping center today, we conveniently found this location to satisfy our boba fix. Interestingly, this location has the fewest star ratings among the others. Based upon a quick glance at the low reviews, it appears that it is attributed to their service here. In fact while we were waiting briefly for our drinks today, we understood why this location may be given the lower ratings. One customer came in to redeem their buy one get one free birthday drink, however, was told that this location would not accept the coupon. Another customer had requested to have no ice in their drink, however, they were told that while they can reduce the amount of ice, they cannot top off with additional tea to compensate the lesser volume. So the customer ended up with about 2 inches of an empty cup in their drink. Nonetheless, service was adequate and quick. We received our drinks timely despite a small crowd that placed their orders right before us. We ordered a roasted oolong milk tea with Boba and a twix crunch smoothie. The milk tea was exceptionally creamy and unique and flavor. A thumbs up from me. The Twix Crunch was a unique twist to the candy bar and did it justice in a drink. Our experience was satisfactory despite the higher prices then what we are accustomed to. All in all this was a good afternoon treat stop! read more

Look what's brewing in Ala Moana...felt like it moved in under the radar as it happened so fast and without any fanfares. Located right on the street level Mauka side between Lupicia and Brug this minimalist is quite tiny but their beautiful artsy ocean wall arts are always a cool feature and every wall is covered here creating a cool ocean vibe. One downside is you place your own order using the provided kiosk and if you don't usually go to Teapresso like me and are unfamiliar with the items you can definitely ask a staff as they are more than happy to answer any questions though the kiosk does provide all the info on the product you're interested in but scrolling around like I did is something you need to consider as the only have ONE kiosk and when I was done there was a couple of guests behind me...oops! I got a brown sugar matcha flavored drink and the other one was like an oreo drink, I can't remember but what I do remember is tasting my stepson's oreo drink was overly too sweet for me. Kids will absolutely dig that one. I don't recall the place having the option to control the sweetness level, if you do remember just make a comment to help refresh my brain. My drink on the other hand was very good and just right. I'm an addict when it comes to brown sugar boba drinks but blending it with matcha, my mind exploded to the coolest invention ever! Drinks are consistently good. Lots of parking since it's at the mall. Customer service is eh. I've gone a bunch of times and everytime I go, the cashier is always on their phone. My kids love the drinks here and order them several times a week. After a too long shopping day, I really needed a pick-me-up so I decided to stop in for a cold drink. I'm diabetic, so a lot of places don't offer sugar free drinks, but I went in and asked if they could make me something without sugar. The very nice worker there said she could make me an iced coffee latte, but yikes - I don't do dairy, either. She said they had almond, soy, or oatmilk, so I chose oatmilk. It was so refreshing and just what I needed after walking all over the mall. It's nice to know I can go to these places and get a nice drink, too. If Teapresso and all of the other similar places would offer sugar free fruit drinks, I think a huge business opportunity would open up for them, but in the meantime, I'm very happy with what I can get. read more

This place absolutely sucks. The decor and interior is nice, and the service mediocre, but the quality of the drinks are awful. We ordered a honey dew smoothie with boba, and it was so awfully blended, with so many ice chucks. When I finished the drink, there were literal CUBES of ice sitting around at the bottom. It was hard to get even one sip without getting a piece of ice in your mouth that you can't swallow. I would really recommend NOT going here. I went to this place with my son and he wanted to order an Oreo crumble. There was no line but a male employee was working by himself and taking a really long time but It was ok and we could wait to order. Some drinks were on the counter waiting to be picked up. Then a girl came to pick up her order and the employee found out that he made an extra drink by mistake which was Oreo Crumble. Then right after my son ordered an Oreo Crumble. the employee took the Oreo Crum on the counter and put the drink back in the blender and added some more ice to make it thicker again and served to my son. It had no taste at all because he added more ice and blended again. He knew we were watching but I guess he didn't care. I wish there was a ZERO star option because this is what he deserves. I was craving a boba, so I decided to stop by, since there's a similar branch closer to home that I love. I asked to try a single strawberry boba since there are different types, and she said no, as if a single boba would make or break the shop. I then ordered a large strawberry black tea with no ice but 125% sweetness. The drink was very visibly NOT full, or even to the interior line. The drink itself was the bitterest "sweet tea" I've ever had, no taste of the strawberry OR 125% sweetness requested. I didn't want to bother with the poor service, but could barely take half of it before I dumped it. I had a friend with me who watched the entire thing. The young man working the counter was no where to be seen at first when there was a full line in the store and when he came out he said to just use the self service kiosk rudely which two people were already doing. Several people were waiting for their drinks already and some people left without getting them at all. When I received my drinks I got double my order with the wrong topping. I tried to have him fix the order but he just nonchalantly said oh okay I guess I'll fix it. I wouldn't consider this rude but I was already a bit upset. So instead I just had him refund my order and he defensively said that he wasn't giving me an attitude which I agreed but I was done and just wanted my money back.
