I'm disappointed at how the price of this milk tea vs the size that I got! And it was strange that they also added ice into their milk tea. The boba was overcooked, very chewy. The lady was very nice. The ambiance was cute.

Over priced and small. Boba had no taste. No customer service not even a hello when you're ordering. Place is a small business.

Mango Smoothie with Boba Papaya Smoothie with jelly....so sweet!

My friend and I were walking around Waikiki and had a boba craving. The closest place Yelp took us was this place. I was disappointed to find out that they specialize more on smoothies and blended drinks rather than milk teas. I was actually craving for some milk tea with boba or even fruit tea, but instead they recommended their fruit smoothies. My friend got their Papaya Smoothie with boba, and I got their Mango Smoothie with boba and jelly that came standard (no extra charge for the jellies) with the drink. There was one lady at the store who was very friendly and talkative who made the recommendations. We were so immersed in our conversation that I forgot to request to adjust their sugar level. The drinks came out too sweet! If it wasn't for the lovely and friendly service, I probably would give this place 2-star because I couldn't take a second sip of their drink. It was cloyingly sweet! My drink went to waste as a result. My friend liked her papaya smoothie, but she said, it was also way too sweet, but not as sweet as my drink. So, she finished half of hers. I would still recommend this place, but if you're like me that's not into overly sweetened drinks, be sure to adjust their sweetness level.

Maybe 3 sips and it's gone with a huge chunk of ice and all the boba sitting on top of the ice.

My daughter wanted boba and I knew this place across from where we live. We had never tried it and thought we'd give it a chance since it was so close. Walked in and the place had a strange aroma to it. Almost like a Chinese medicine shop. The guy behind the counter greeted us and we took our time to look over the menu. We settled on 3 boba drinks, a classic milk tea with boba, a mango tea with boba, and a Thai tea with boba. All the drinks were pre-made in a container that he pulled out from the fridge. One by one the drinks were being poured and served. They didn't look anything like the photos. They were in a plain clear plastic cup with a pop on lid. No big deal as long as it taste good right? Well none of the drinks were very good. Worst of all, my daughter's drink, who was the one who really wanted the boba drink, had a huge solid chunk of ice in it. We couldn't even insert the straw in the drink. We took our drinks and left. Before we could even walk past the business, my daughter's drink was gone. She had taken a few sips and it was all ice!!! I went right back in and showed him the drink he had served us and all he could say was, oh would you like another one? I said no and wanted a refund on her drink. Also, they have a sign that said 15% off for Kama'aina. We said oh they have Kama'aina the minute we walked in and saw the sign. I mentioned it to him as he rang up the total. When he handed me his phone for the credit card authorization, there was no discount given. I said it again that we were Kama'aina and showed him my ID again and he gave us back only 10% back. I took the two bucks and left. Then came back for the refund and he only refunded me another $5 for a total of $7. I didn't want to waste any more time and frustration with him and took my $7 and left. Basically, no discount given at this point. Ended up going down the street and bought her a huge boba drink with a happy hour discount for the $7 and still had change leftover. Will never come back! Terrible business! Wish it could have been a better experience.

I really wanted to give this place a better review, but the boba just really ain't it. The milk tea was pre made so you can't adjust the sugar level. The boba was hard. I personally think that if you're selling boba tea and the tapioca is hard, that just means you haven't figured it out. It may have just been that the boba has been lying around for hours since there wasn't that much foot traffic there. Didn't try the musubi, but from the other reviews they say it's good.

Such a small shop in Waikiki it would be easy to miss. Looking forward to a boba slush and Musubi Boba came up in my search. Fresh fruit was a welcome start cause, Hawaii! She made us fresh mochi donut hole while we were waiting and omg it was a great snack with my ice cold taro slush. My friend got the papaya slush, love the fresh fruit options!

Located just outside the Royal Hawaiian Center, the shop almost always has a long line, but it moves surprisingly quickly thanks to the convenient self-order kiosks. Despite the steady stream of customers, the staff handled the crowd with impressive efficiency, and our order arrived sooner than expected. With its vibrant layers of color and fresh toppings, the shave ice created a breathtaking first impression. Better yet, it tasted every bit as incredible as it looked. **Hawaiian Rainbow: 5/5** The Hawaiian Rainbow was the perfect sweet treat on a blazing hot day. Layered with housemade coconut spirulina, strawberry, and mango syrups over incredibly soft shave ice, it offered a bright medley of tropical fruit flavors. The shave ice itself was exceptionally smooth and delicate, with a texture reminiscent of fluffy snow that dissolved almost instantly on the tongue. Hidden beneath it was a layer of rich, soft ice cream that provided the perfect creamy contrast to the refreshing flavors. The finishing touches were a generous drizzle of condensed milk and fresh strawberry chunks, whose subtle tang balanced the sweetness beautifully. Homemade mochi added a soft, pillowy chew, while the lychee popping boba contributed subtle floral notes evocative of rosewater. Every element complemented the next, making each spoonful just as enjoyable as the last. Island Vintage Shave Ice more than lives up to its well-earned reputation. From the stunning presentation to the handcrafted syrups, silky-smooth shave ice, and a texturally diverse assortment of toppings, every component came together to create a phenomenal dessert that's every bit as delicious as it is visually captivating. If you're visiting Waikiki, Island Vintage Shave Ice deserves a spot at the top of your must-try list.

The inner shop is fairly small, so the line was outside the door. There aren't a lot of spots for seating, which is a bummer. The service was okay, but really just the bare minimum. I have to say the two standouts for me about this shave ice are as follows: the texture of the ice is fantastic - so smooth. It does also mean that it melts quickly, but it's really pleasant to eat. The other standout is the Mac nut ice cream. It's delicious, the bites of macadamia nut give a little crunch, and it all-around is very balanced with the flavors of the shave ice. I got the Sunset Beach, which is passion orange guava and mango. With the ice cream, I personally don't feel like the condensed milk is necessary, but I could totally be wrong.

My husband asked if we could order as well and that we drove here straight from the airport with a 20 minute detour and was immediately told, "No, this is the last order." He walked out, realized it wasn't even 10:30 yet, and went back in to ask why they were refusing to serve us when we arrived before closing. Instead of simply explaining or apologizing, the employee, Kalei, responded with an unbelievable attitude and said something along the lines of, "People don't realize we have SCHOOL in the morning, but it's okay, I'll take your order then if you want shave ice that bad." WOAH?!?! Seriously? If you close at 10:30, then either serve customers who arrive before 10:30 or change your posted closing time. There was absolutely no reason for the sarcasm or nasty attitude. My husband told her he didn't appreciate the attitude and proceeded to order a strawberry shave ice. She then turned off the TV/screen and told him, "No more ordering for you." At that point it honestly felt like she was going out of her way to be disrespectful just because he questioned why we were being turned away before closing. When he asked for her name, she very boldly told him it was Kalei, advised him of their Google listing, and basically invited us to leave a review and contact her boss, as if she was completely confident nobody would care about how she treats customers. We weren't asking anyone to stay open late. We didn't walk in after closing. We arrived BEFORE closing while another customer was actively being served. The entire interaction could have been handled with basic courtesy, but instead we got sarcasm, hostility, and an employee seemingly trying to embarrass a customer for simply asking to order during posted business hours. One of the rudest and most unnecessarily hostile customer service interactions we've had. Completely unacceptable.
