I've followed my Yelp buddie's reviews on this Teapioca Lounge in Austin and than they opened one up in the Rock. We came in after a Chicago dog and an Italian dipped beef sammy in the same strip mall, i'm trying to figure out why it took me so long to partake of one of these amazing drinks. My better wifely half had the Cafe Bac Xiu...coffee with condensed milk...of the frozen and blended variety. It was very good, she didn't get any tapioca 'cause she's a commy...i mean...she doesn't like the chew. I had the frozen blended cappucino with the tapioca 'cause i do like the chew....brings me back to my childhood when i'd open some cracker jacks and there's a prize! These drinks have a lot of little prizes. Go between Monday thru Thursday, between 10am and 2 pm...buy two get 1 free!!! When the lady gave us our drinks we asked where do we put the straws...there's no hole in the top lid....she said stab it with the pointy ended straw...cool! They were giving out free samples of a little fish shaped pastry filled with cream fiilling, good, think of it as a Korean version of the Hostess twinkie but a lot less sugary. read more

I go to this location all the time and I have always loved it. But the last two times I have gone have been really disappointing. Today I was brought home a drink (Cafe Sua Da) that I order all the time and it was so extremely bitter that I could not drink it. It almost tasted like chemicals. Someone should check on that. read more

I love Teapioca, my husband and I go once a week, they have a great happy hour earlier in the day too; however, they never have tapioca available in the mornings. I was told it is due to it being made, if that is the case, they need to have it made before they open. That would be like going to Texas Roadhouse and they tell you they don't have sirloins and rolls when they open. That's a flaw that needs fixed. Otherwise, LOVE it here!!! read more

Drink is good except whenever I ordered two of the same drink they use less ingredient making it taste like water. So usually I have to be that bitch customer that ordered two same drinks with different sugar level so they are force to make them separately. Sometimes when I place an order for 5 of my co-workers and all want the same drink that can be a real bitch. You force me to be that bitch. read more

The taro cream bubble tea was delicious, we tried it this week. The reason I take one star away is because the drink was warm (!!!) when they served it... A big no-no when it's over 100F outside. Those little fish cakes are so cute looking but even at 50cts each they are not worth it; the cake was stale and the "cream" (custard really) was unimpressive to say the least. read more

I really like the Watermelon smoothie with pearls. I've had it 3x in the past week or two. Baby pearls and regular pearls are both good (I prefer the regular size tapioca). Today I tried the jackfruit smoothie with pearls. It was ok but not as good as the one at Short N Sweet (N. Lamar). Maybe the fruit not completely ripe? It wasn't so bad I didn't like it or sent it back it just had a hint of bitterness or greenness. Maybe I'll have them mix it with mango or watermelon next time. The people that work there are extremely friendly and always upbeat. They all smile and make conversation and even tell you to try your drink and if you don't like it they can make you something else. I appreciate a positive customer service experience! read more

Ive got macha green cream tea with aloe vera topping in it and it was really delicious and fresh. Macha could be little more bitter than green tea so if u dont like bitter taste, u should ask a staff to adjust the taste. The staffs were kind and inside the store was clean. read more

Stopped in here the other night for a drink and some quiet time. I got one of the frozen coffee drinks with boba. Yum! I don't know if Teapioca Lounge sells food, I want to say no. I only saw a few bags of chips at the counter. I'd like to see a couple of snack options for sure. Staff was pretty nice, and it seems like they have a good group of regular customers. One thing I wish they'd change is that the music they were playing was SO loud. Like, you couldn't have a conversation without talking loudly. Thankfully I have noise-canceling headphones, but even then I could still kind of hear their music. read more

Today we try buy Jasmine cream blast tea with less cream but they got wrong two times to black tea... my brother so disappointed with this because he really enjoy green tea... System of Tapioca lounge should know the difference between black tea and jasmine green teA. I've been to 2 different locations and they're both consistent. I'm always there when there is a line, so that's a good sign. Plus it gives me time to debate among myself of what I am going to order. I've had the Cream Smoothie with Tapioca and the Ice Cream with Coffee with no Tapioca. I love them both, I will rotate between those two. Oh I lied, I had the Thai Tea with Tapioca. The first time there I said Boba and not Tapioca, it's the same thing! The staff is friendly and patient when I am on deck to order and have the look of duh I don't know what I want. OMG! So glad they opened another TEALOUNGE nearby. Hands down the best Bubble tea place in Austin!!! And it has very reasonable prices! Drinks here are very customizable in terms of sugar and ice levels and every drink I've had here tastes delish! I recommend the taro cream tea, original milk tea, or hazelnut milk tea which I usually get with herbal jelly instead of tapioca. For a more refreshing taste, I recommend the passion fruit green tea or strawberry green tea with aloe Vera and half sugar! Idk I still prefer the original Parmer location cuz that's where it all started, but it's good to have another location in RR that I can hit up if I am in need of my Taro Milk Tea! read more

I usually go to the one on W. Parmer and Metric, but I've sometimes found myself at the new Round Rock location. They don't do the 15% Yelp check-in discount, so I just use my reward/stamp card at this location. Other than that, it's the same taste and format as W. Parmer, so I love it. read more

Best boba place in Austin. Their tapioca pearls are consistently good (not hard or way too mushy like other boba places). I typically get honeydew blastea with boba since it is caffeine free. Today I got that plus lychee jelly. One good thing to know is their jellies are not made with animal gelatin. They were nice enough to tell me the ingredients in it when I asked. I love love love this place. They are fast and always get my order right. The place is clean. The people are super nice. The parking lot isn't too bad. The prices are pretty reasonable. I have never had a bad smoothie with tapioca. They even did a special request when my husband was picking up an order for me while I was sick (totally made things better!!). Just be sure to drink your smoothie pretty quickly so the balls don't freeze. The fruit drinks can also be a tid bit watery when new people make them but thankfully the turnover rate doesn't seem to be too high (conjecture only). Go here, its awesome!!! read more

Walked in to teapioca lounge on a really slow week day night. I ordered the flavored mango shaved ice with lychee jelly. I don't have much to say about the place besides the fact they do a horrible shaved ice and that the service was very lackluster. The shaved ice is very grainy... which is weird, it also leaves a creamy or oily residue on your mouth. I don't know if that means they didn't mix the powder they make it with well enough or if it just had huge sugar granules in it. Snow monster does an amazing shaved ice with no granules or oily texture though. I couldn't finish the shaved ice here because it was so bad. read more

Honestly, there stuff is weak. If you're looking for anything close to what you might have had at Teahouse in Houston, you've come to the wrong place. I frequent this place quite a bit and I'm always disappointed. This last time I got a coconut smoothie and 1) they were out of tapioca 2) it was black tea based which blew my mind (because why??! Like maybe use a coconut milk base) and 3) tasted nothing like coconut. I don't know about you, but I'm never happy when I spend over $5 on anything I'm going to throw out the second I leave the place. Customer service is always just ok. All I can say is you need to go and try it out! Their take on bubble teas is awesome! Fresh, flavorful, and funky! I got the classic taro, but with coconut added, and I halved the sugar. The prices are pretty good considering how big the drinks. They also have a large range of options. My favorite is their Raspberry Black Tea with Strawberry Boba. It's amazing.
