We came here on a Thursday night while driving back to the city. The service was quick and reminded me of boba spots back home in California with cute, Asian-inspired decoration. I got a peach smoothie, and my companion got a milk tea. I thought my smoothie was pretty good! It had an authentic peach taste and was perfectly sweet and blended. Overall refreshing, although I usually do not order smoothies at boba spots (I was feeling adventurous). I will be down to try more of the many flavors they have for smoothies! The milk tea was okay. It had a strong tea taste but the pearls were not the chewy-ist.

I haven't been here in a while so forgot that the bubble tea options are a little different from other bubble tea lounges. There are no fruit teas, the fruit flavors are available only with smoothies or slushies. The place looks a little dated with old, torn couches but it's very cutely decorated for the holidays. The lady who took my order was very patient as I went back and forth on a couple of drinks to choose from.

I absolutely love Teapioca. I always get the free tea and they have a variety of flavors and boba that you can add to the tea. My favorite flavors peach, mango and passion fruit. They also have a variety of unique snacks and frozen desserts. I use their reward program and collect points for discounts on drinks. Also they send coupon offers monthly as their drinks can be somewhat pricey. They are always speedy and efficient in making my drink and the tea comes out consistent and I always know what to expect, this is my favorite tea store.

I love bubble tea so trying out a new place every month is a must! I was pleasantly surprised by this location, we dropped by for boba but decided to spend a while here because it was cozy and there was ample parking. I also loved that I could get a smaller size drink especially when I'm calorie counting! I got the taro cream blast and added boba and my total was under 6$ was great!

I love this spot for Bubble Tea! First off their items are Delicious!! And I've always lived in South Austin for all the years I've raised my son here (Texas native) and this spot was close by in the Southpark Meadows shopping center by the park at Jason's Deli where I used to always bring my son to play. I loved bringing him to this place- over a decade ago-- because they have such a cool, chill vibe atmosphere, good smoothies for the kids (he's a green apple slush kind of boy) and they also had tons of games and board games for the kids he loved to play! (Risk being his favorite). Such a favored past time (My son is now a grown man at 20 years old!) but I loved to take him here. On to the boba tea! So delish. Everytime. The Taro Cream Blast has always been a favorite of mine. I like getting the regular sized Tapioca bubbles and the baby tapioca, I love the bubbles, the more the better, and they cook theirs so perfectly. Best tapioca bubbles. The Thai Tea is also yummy. And they have such a wide range of fresh smoothies This time I got my Taro Cream with bubbles and I tried the new Peach Cobbler Smoothie, it was delicious. They also have an app where you can order ahead and skip the line, straight to the drink ready station where they'll have your order prepared. Highly recommend for boba lovers, smoothie lovers and those with small kiddos. Ps my son loves frozen yogurt too and orange leaf is right next door so we would always frequent both.

We've been here numerous times due to its close proximity to Orange Leaf. When you come you never know if you are going to wait in a line that goes out the door or able to walk in and place your order. On this day we were able to walk in. There was a certain drink I wanted but I couldn't remember what it was called so I ended up getting the Taro Cream Blast Tea. I've never had it and asked what it tasted like, the barista told me that it tasted like the milk from fruit loops. He was not lying. My daughter was craving a slushy and she got the Green Apple Slush with boba. After receiving our drinks we sat on the benches just people watching even though there were only like less than five patrons. They have a red panda you can take pictures with, but my daughter told me that is embarrassing. I've entered that phase of parenting.

The boba is delicious - perfectly cooked and chewy. There is plenty of seating for those you want to enjoy their tea here and they offer milk alternatives which is an automatic win for me.

I grabbed a drink around 9pm. It was super busy much to my surprise. They have an extensive menu. If you're not familiar with these drinks and you don't know what you want you should def figure it out before going lol but my drink was tasty. No real complaints. I did think my drink came with tapioca bc that's how the picture was but now I know it doesn't without an extra charge. I'll be back though.

Love it here! Even as a Bay Area native, I think the boba is at least comparable to our own Mecca of boba drinks, as it's chewy and made fresh. The basil seeds are crunchy and slimy, just the way they should be, and they have agar as well, which is a rarity among boba places. Everything came out quickly too (under 5 min). We ordered the mango and pina colada slushes/smoothies, and both were incredibly refreshing and flavorful. There's a reason why this place has so many reviews and I can understand why.

Ever since I moved to Austin three years ago, I've been missing the presence of a lot of the Asian restaurants and boba shops of San Diego. I've been to this location a handful of times now and it's usually insanely busy (as it should be because boba is life!!), but it's always been super crowded and took a while for the orders in addition to online orders. Pro tip: go before noon on a weekday. This made all the difference! I was the only one there today and it was nice, I got to really go over the menu without feeling pressured from the long line. My go to is the Taro milk tea with boba but I got regular black milk tea as well this time. I also got this amazing snowy dessert, mango flavored (same as pictured in their advertisement in store) with all of the toppings shown (fresh mangos, vanilla ice cream, condensed milk). The snow thing is sooooooo good!! At first a little too sweet but that's condensed milk for ya! The overall flavor is amazing and the fresh fruit is chefs kiss! Today gave me all of the Asian boba tea shop vibes I was missing of my past and I strongly recommend this place for boba tea and their desserts! The snow dessert in mango is ahhh-mazing and is totally shareable.

Not to be confused with Peepee-ocho Lounge. As in, my Latina gf is allowed to get with other boys (as all my gfs are), but she isn't interested unless they have a "Peepee-ocho." Ocho o mas, I should say. We're not really a fan of any locations of Teapioca Lounge, and I've tried them from Oklahoma City to Dallas to Houston to San Marcos, and of course this one in Austin. Came here to see creepy dudes being creepy with girls, should have gone to just the Tip-in-okay? Lounge. This is extremely busy and there's usually a long line. Some of the people in here were really cute and nice to us, and some of the people in here were really rude and pushed in front of us in line. Came here for my flight from Tulsa down to Florida. Should have gone to Tampa-OK Lounge. Service was fine but the drinks were really lacking something, as they usually are. The truth is I'm just not a fan of this taste, and I find their milk tea to taste a little fake, as if premade, and their fruit tea to taste a little like chemicals. Came here for lukewarm southern veggies. They didn't have any. Should have gone to the Tepid-Okra Lounge. I used to like their fruit teas, but my tastes have developed a lot. At least it's comfortable in here. We're not honestly fans of Teapioca Lounge. It doesn't matter how many locations we go to, it's just really not doing it for me, but compared to Barbi's disdain, I'm a huge fan, lol. Came here for used period products. Should have gone to Tampon-icky Lounge.

Stopped by here with family, and the wait time was pretty quick, given there was a steady stream of customers. My husband's pina colada smoothie was surprisingly good! I really enjoyed how smooth and creamy it was. My mango green tea was good overall, and I appreciated how the store allows you to customize how sweet you want your drink (50% was perfect for me)! read more

Right on the drag so convenient if you're wanting boba by campus!! Sometimes their tapioca pearls are a little hard but the tea itself is pretty good. They are also on the app TooGoodToGo where the restaurant will give you the drinks that were leftover at the end of the day for only 3 bucks!! read more

Meeting a new friend and she had suggested teapiocia. Never been there I decided to do my own research beforehand to figure out what I may want. They have tons of options and can be honestly a little overwhelming. I decide on black lychee tea with pearls. Wow I can honestly say what a great non alcoholic drink. First off lychee I discovered during my travels in Thailand. It is a very sweet fruit and if chocolate left this world I would be eating lychee everyday for comfort. The pearls are like chewy gummies that are good but honestly not for everyone. Especially people with food texture issues. With so many options here I would recommend looking at the website beforehand. If you decide to wing it, good luck. Your options are nearly limitless. read more

This location has become so slow. I waited 40 minutes for two drinks inside a small area with 20 customers plus 5 employees crammed into a small area. Nobody was able to social distance and some of the customers inside weren't wearing masks. Not safe especially since the Southpark Meadows zip code has the highest prevalence of Covid cases in Travis county. Additionally none of the workers serving drinks were wearing gloves. read more

After ordering 2 items and waiting 15 minutes for our drinks, I was informed that the cashier did not charge me correctly. The teenager who claimed to be the manager (CASSIE), rudely told my 66 year old mother and I "WELL YOU DIDNT PAY FOR IT SO GO BACK OVER THERE AND PAY". She was so rude that the entire store stood and stared as she laughed at my mom. My mom asked why she was laughing and she had no answer. ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSINGLY HORRIBLE SERVICE UPDATE: The owner stands by the embarrassing behavior by his manager. Since the customer service is horrible and the owner stands by that.. I WILL NOT be returning to this store. Y'all lost a solid customer. read more

I didn't expect much from Teapioca Lounge, because I've been to one in OKC and hated it every time I visited it. So naturally, I assumed all Teapioca Lounges were the same, and steered clear of this one until I kept reading all the raving 5 star reviews. You convinced me, Yelpers! And it was very surprisingly NOT a disappointment! Their drinks here are really, really good. My boyfriend got the pina colada smoothie, and I got the black milk tea (my standard for comparing boba shops) and even though I enjoyed my drink, his was soooo good. I'm not a huge pina colada fan but even I was stealing sips! The black milk tea is creamy, the boba consistency is legit, and I basically drank the whole drink in probably 7 minutes flat. Worth the 5 star reviews and my faith in Teapioca Lounge has been restored. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE LACTOSE INTOLERANT OR VEGAN. I recently had a drink here (Taro Cream Blast) that I was reassured did not have lactose. I trusted them at their word and had the drink. That night I got extremely sick--I will spare the gruesome details but the point is that I only get sick in this exact way when I have a lot of lactose. They provided details about their so called dairy-free plant based creamer--it is neither of those things. It contains a milk protein (so NOT vegan friendly) and though they are allowed to label it as 'lactose free,' researching the milk protein brings up results that they usually do still contain some level of lactose. There is also a chance the employee that prepared my drink was negligent and somehow put milk in my drink instead of the creamer, but the fact stands that there was enough lactose in my drink that I got extremely sick since I had the drink in a way that I only get when I have too much lactose. It has been 2 days but I am still experiencing symptoms, it is very bad. Lesson learned, do not trust Teapioca's "plant based dairy free creamer." If you want a tea shop that has never done me wrong like this, I recommend Gongcha. Their drinks have proper substitutes and have never made me sick. I will attach the details of the creamer with photos provided by the employees. If you look up 'sodium caseinate,' you will find that it is a milk protein and that it is not completely lactose free as the product claims. There is enough lactose in it that I got sick as a lactose intolerant person, or the employee used milk instead of creamer in my drink even though explicitly told I did not want lactose in my drink. People who have lactose intolerance know that you get sick in a specific way when having lactose, and I had those exact symptoms very quickly after drinking this. Be careful about this tea shop. I won't be coming back. read more

Started going here during the lockdown. This place has great tea and a wide variety. All the toppings you could ever ask for too! Not only do they have the regular tea and milk tea, smoothie, slushie, and coffee varieties, but they include puerh tea and white tea varieties that I don't typically find elsewhere in boba places. I usually get some type of lighter tea like chrysanthemum, but recently I ordered carrot-orange juice and it still exceeds my expectations. Their ordering system is really well done during this time and I feel great buying here because of their compostable straws. Quickly becoming a favorite in Austin! read more

Teapioca Lounge was great when I first started going because we liked to go with a group of friends to hang out and try new smoothies with tapioca or the snowy ice cream. They made some changes to adapt to the pandemic, so although it's no longer a lounge, they still have their awesome drinks to try, and even when the line looks long, it moves pretty fast. I enjoy ordering online and picking up, but it's not always available. I still need to figure out if it's at certain times that is offered. I've also started enjoying their macaroons. My son loves them as well. We tend to go with a Taro smoothie with tapioca or a taro cream blast, and enjoy trying different macaroons each time we go. read more

Not too shabby. I appreciate that they actually make the tea fresh when you order something like oolong and they have a lot of choices to customize. The boba were soft and overall flavor was good. I reduced a star because they got one of my orders wrong and when I asked them to correct it they really didn't know what to do and didn't do it properly. read more

Being in FAR S. Austin, we are absolutely ruined by Teapioca Lounge for bubble tea. We found this location in Southpark Meadows when my son worked here 3 years ago - and we have been going there ever since. With a HUGE menu, this place has a little something for everyone - Coffee and tea, slushees, fruit smoothies in every color and flavor you can imagine. No wonder it is my daughter's favorite place to get her a boba fix. read more

Decided to go to Austin for a short vacation! First stop: Boba! After yelping some places, we decided to check this place out first. It's located a little outside downtown Austin out in the suburbs. My girlfriend and I decided to just share a boba drink because we didn't want to end up with 2 if it turned out bad. We just got the classic milk tea with mini boba! I haven't had mini boba since back in California! They're a rarity, but I love mini-boba! The milk tea was decently good, but boba wasn't as chewy as I usually like it. A little toughness to it, but better than many other I've tried back in Minnesota. I really miss boba back in California though! This place is very big and has plenty of tables to study and chill. This is the only place in South Austin that I can give five stars too. Coming from California and having a page dedicated to my love for tea, I'm pretty much a tea critic. All I get here is their high mountain oolong milk tea 75% sweet and it's the BEST. I've ordered this drink in other Teapioca locations and they're consistent. Love this place. Teapioca Lounge has a wide tangle of drink flavors and combinations. The drinks are made right in behind the checkout and you can see the employees whip up your drink. Price is pretty comparable to other bubble drink places. A great perk to the location is that it's in the middle of a shopping center and is perfect for a drink break. I ordered the Avocado and Taro, with tapioca on the bottom. The drink is creamy and sweet. It hits the spot when your looking for a perfect bubble drink. read more

I went on a Wednesday afternoon and the line wasn't too long but the wait was long! There were so many people waiting for their drinks. They only had two people working. When I did get my purple drink with the lychee it was sooooo good. The cashier recommended it and I can't remember what she created. 10/10 recommended! read more

We have come here a handful of times now, i would say that I haven't been disappointed with this place at all! If you're looking for a nice place to study or just to hang out for a little while this is definitely the place to go! They also have games and such and a great loyalty program (if you come here often- which we seem to!) The last time I got the strong Thai coffee which was delicious I think for next time though, I would ask for less ice! Thank you and see you next time! read more

So existing as the only bubble tea establishment south of campus is pretty advantageous. Especially in a spot like SouthPark Meadows, where just east, hundreds of new homes are going in. Easy business, right? Usually is. Long lines at peak hours is expected. And you run out of tapioca once, no biggie. You have the smaller pearls. Fine. Then a couple weekends ago, on a Saturday at 3pm, you run out of tapioca. Again. It's a 30 minute wait till the next batch is ready. After I waited 10 minutes in line? Or do I just get a regular tea? (That's dumb. I have regular non-tapioca tea at home. 15 minutes from where I just drove.) Then tonight, a Friday night at 8:45?! You run out of pearls again?! Another 30 minute wait?! The name of this friggin' place is "TEAPIOCA"!!!!!! How do you repeatedly run out of the title ingredient to your establishment?? It's peak hours, the middle of June, on a Friday night. You overlap batches, right?! Been let down by this place too many times. How hard it is to maintain tapioca pearls to make sure you have enough??? Apparently it's more difficult than I realize. This place is really popular, and I can see why! There was a line to the door on a Sunday at 4pm--what?! LOL... my husband loved his lavender green tea (he said he felt like he was taking a bath!), and mentioned the tapioca itself is soft and chewy, the way it's supposed to be. My matcha cream tea was ok--I could taste the powder, and I thought it would've come as a liquid. Instead, it was more like an icy smoothie. Good thing I asked about the sweetness level, one of the girls explained and gave recommendations based on the types of drinks we got. read more

I use to live in Austin and loved this place. But when it's extremely busy your drink gets messed up. I stopped by here on the way out of town and my drink got completely messed up to the point I couldn't even drink it and just wasted $6. It was 20 mins before closing and at least 30 people in the store waiting on drinks. By the time I realized they added coffee gel to my honeydew drink it was closed. In the pic attached you can see the sticker says taro with coffee gel and tapioca. And I ordered a honeydew with tapioca. Very disappointing. read more

Knowing I had never tried Boba Tea, my BF took me here to indoctrinate me into the Boba Tea wonderland. Looking like I had just entered into the land of the lost, the nice girl behind the counter offered me some samples of the Boba (pearls) to try out before I ordered. I learned that Boba is not for me. I ended up ordering a cold Green Tea without any Boba or other stuff in it. However I can say that they had a nice selection of tea and other drinks...and everyone (including my BF) with a Boba Tea looked very satisfied. read more

Waited for my drink for over 20 minutes. And when I asked about it, they did not have the order number and took an additional 20 minutes to make it!!! I come here for the consistency of the drinks. Sometimes, some places provide drinks that get a bit watery, melted. If you are health conscious, there are some fresh juices that are available. Otherwise, the taro smoothie is always preferred. The consistency of the boba is always on the harder chewy side. Again, there are some places that provide bottom of the pot boba that are all the way slimy and disintegrate. In general, I wish there was a boba place that had more snacks. Perhaps Teapioca can consider this. Like a Bambu but for South Austin. Ought to try their hot tea options. read more

It's bubble tea. Arguably hard to screw up. They met the mark of expectations BUT we had to wait 20 minutes for the drink because they were insanely busy. If there's any criticism to be leveled it's in the overwhelming menu and product offering which takes away from the overall experience. read more

Such a great find in South Austin! They have a limited menu and pretty casual atmosphere. I went on a weekend evening and could still find a table to sit. There were quite a few people seen around although not crowded for a Sunday evening. Interesting point - They have some board games to play while you catch up with friends. Not great. 2 macaroons for 6 bucks? What a ripoff. According to the employees the owners won't let people buy their macaroons anymore unless you buy 2 at a time. Brilliant move. The drinks are delicious... The customer experience is kind of weird because they're advertising for other businesses and they turn the screen with the menu itself into other advertisements. So if you need to see the menu in the format you looked at while you're in line you have to wait till the advertisements have stopped and the big screen changes back to show the menu. I ask that the owners just leave the menu on the big screen and not try to advertise on the same screen that your menu is displayed on. read more

So many things wrong, where to begin: 1. Tea too sweet 2. Tapioca too soft, like falling apart almost 3. Straw too short, you can barely get to tapioca I suspect from the taste that either they aren't checking day dots or making tapioca in large batches that sit too long. It's was so bad that I wanted to get my money back but didn't want to wait in line with all the teens. FYI further down by pizza shop there is Asian restaurant that sells bubble tea/milk tea that looks worth a try. read more

They have an awesome policy... buy a flavored drink and if u don't like the taste (which is highly unusual) they will replace it with another flavored drink of yur choice, until u do find a flavor u like.
