I explained Walk With Austin - a local 501(c)(3), the upcoming 6th annual Adaptive all abilities Try-Athlon, and how important bike safety is. I asked if they'd consider donating a few new or used helmets, as we've had kids participate without properly fitting helmets. He immediately said they already support enough local groups and weren't interested in any new partnerships. I explained I'd love to connect about next year, but he again declined and wouldn't even take the donation letter. I was honestly pretty shocked that a local bike shop wasn't willing to donate even one helmet to a local nonprofit supporting kids with disabilities. Even more surprising is they weren't willing to have an open conversation for next year's event. Needless to say, I won't be shopping at Trek Bikes of El Dorado Hills anymore.

The kids built their confidence and will be safer riders now thanks to them and better understand the rules of the road. I will not go anywhere else for the biking needs my family has and super appreciate their support always!

It starts you off with climbing then when your legs are about to fall off....you climb somemore.
