Nestled in a shopping strip across the street from Memorial High School, and located next to a great hamburger place next door called Southwell's, Teahouse serves up some great drinks to enjoy at anytime of the day. I've been here a few times up to date and I've gotten the chance to enjoy multiple drinks and some food items. Overall I have been pleased with what I've received and have had little to no complaints about them. They are just like any other boba spot, with adjustments to drinks, ice levels, sugar levels and all the other good stuff. The indoor seating is nice for both groups and individual studying. The staircase seating on the right as you walk in is a nice different concept to have. Service can get slow if it's busy, so be prepared to wait for a little bit, but the wait isn't that bad or slow if there are just a few people inside. As soon as I walked in I felt transported to a serene, happy place. A cool, calm vibe with great music. Comfortable seating. Quick service. The star of the show was the Thai tea and fresh watermelon juice. Both were so satisfying on so many levels. They have a great menu. You will be able to find what ever suits your mood that day. Well I have been going to this place a while and always get the same drink . So I go get it before a meeting I love the oolong with boba. Again been getting the SAME drink forever .. Well went in for my drink I earned with points and it was so bad I went back and they made it again . It did not even look right .. So I left with the drink it was so sweet I ended up throwing it away !! So I get a survey and replied with what happened and points down the drain .. this is what I got back .. :( We are sorry that we can't make your oolong tea correct. The service is rude. I've been coming here for the longest it used to be my favorite teahouse but lately there has been at least three times were the cashier is rude and leaves me waiting while she's on the phone. The last time I came in she was arguing and using a bad languange over the phone while I was waiting and did not knowledge me. The second time a differente girl was also rude but when it came to tipping her tone changed. It's my last time stopping by, I'm not sure if the cashiers are high schoolers but they need better training. read more

I was happy to find that there was a tea house right there in memorial city. The customer service was excellent, I was met with a smile and drink suggestion when I asked. The atmosphere is really cool, there's a nice seated wall to your right. Which has about 3 rows going up, with round wood tables and cushions on each side. Pretty cool and innovative idea. Just found this new delicious gem in the heart of Memorial in Htown called Teahouse tapioca & tea .They just opened this week and offer the cool vibe of a teahouse blended with deliciouso drinks. Thank you to owner Mike for the incredible mango cream with tapioca smoothie. Heavenly!!! These would be perfect as a treat after a workout or as a cool place to relax inside on their staired seating with pillows. Overall great experience for a chain tapioca place. Went around lunch time on a weekday with few customers. The popcorn chicken which was juicy, crispy, and peppery, one of the better popcorns chickens I have had. The sweet potato fries and passion fruit slush were also good, which I assume is difficult to screw up, which they didn't. Everything was hot and fresh when I received it, and the staff was friendly with my limited interaction. It's a place definitely worth trying if you're in the area, an above average chain tap house. read more

I've been to this location in the past but had a much better experience. They had different people running it at the time and I suppose it makes all the difference the type of service you receive at places that are set up as more of a grab and go type, nevertheless, the service I received with the change of staff was less than satisfactory. I ordered the Thai tea with no boba (tapioca). The lady taking my order looked a little annoyed at my request not to add in the e boba. I then asked if they applied military discounts at this location, to which she asked the manager in the back and he said no. No problem. I waited and got my drink but it was full to almost the brim with boba. And she says "you ordered the Thai tea did you?" And I said "yes ma'am but could I please have it without the boba. I think-" and she cuts me off and tells me to "hold on" while she proceeds to take the order of a new customer. She makes me wait while she takes a very long time getting the order of the customer before she finally turns to me and without a word, takes the boba filled tea and plops it on the counter next to the manager and complains that I don't want boba but that she's not remaking it. She gets a new cup but strains out the boba and adds a ton of ice instead of just making the drink the way I originally ordered. Then misses some boba so when I make it to the bottom of the drink, I find some. I just didn't get it. Why the need to be so rude while at a tea shop. It take less than 1 minute to make a drink per customer. I also asked the manager if he would consider asking management to consider implementing a service member discount to which he did everything to avoid from answering my question going to the extremes of saying he had a deep deep conversation with the owner about his compassion towards military service members and how he had begged and pleaded with the owner to implement one but the guy wasn't for it. And he and the other lady laughed after I said thank you and walked away. It was just awful. At least wait until I have left the building to laugh at the ridiculous story you just told me. I'm not one to leave many negative reviews but this place just left a sour taste in my mouth and I won't be returning. read more

We waited nearly 40 minutes for our boba tea, and when it finally arrived, it was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting around for hours. The "specialty" boba tea they boast about? The tapioca pearls were either rock hard or mushy, which is honestly unacceptable for a place that claims to specialize in boba. The atmosphere was equally awful. It's supposed to be a relaxing tea house, but instead, it was loud, chaotic, and uncomfortably cramped. The tables are packed so close together that you can barely move without bumping into someone. So much for a peaceful boba tea experience. The staff? Don't even get me started. They were rude, dismissive, and acted like it was an inconvenience to even acknowledge us. We had to flag someone down just to get a straw, which, surprise surprise it took another 20 minutes. Honestly, don't waste your time or money here. This place is overpriced and overrated. Place is cute, I love this chain. But I walked in to a completely dead silent place. No music at all, but tons of people waiting for their drink without a sound. Just a strange ambiance. They had no tapioca at all and it's 3:15 in the afternoon. Settled for my usual passion fruit green tea that was mostly Ice and watered down. Debating on giving this location another chance. It makes me sad to leave this review because I'm really do love their drinks. We've been here twice now, and the customer service has been absolutely awful both times. The second time we came, we were not greeted when we walked up to the cashier, she hardly looked at us as we approached, then literally said nothing. As I was ordering she was texting on her phone, and had zero expression. The first time we were here the workers were just hanging out, chit chatting and laughing in front of customers. On September 21,2023 I went to the tea house and it was still 15 mins before closing and staff was not very good at all and unprofessional.They got my drink wrong and didn't offer to fix it and was in a hurry to leave before closing time.They also stated that the kitchen closed at 8pm and just want to verify if that's true.I've been coming here since I found out about this location since it's the closest to work and I love teahouse.Please train the staff you had working on 9/21/23 to do their job correctly and professionally. read more

This place used to be great but has really gone downhill this past year. I placed an order and paid through their (barely functional) app bc they apparently don't take phone orders anymore (this is what I was told the last time I tried to call in an order). After about 10-15 minutes, my husband went to pick it up and was told that they were cleaning the kitchen and couldn't cook any food. This was Saturday at lunchtime (around 11:30am). What restaurant chooses to clean the kitchen on a weekend during service hours?! And even if that's the case, they should've called me to say my order couldn't be fulfilled!
