As a huge fan of Kung Tea, this place is decent for a quick boba fix. Let's not ignore the pricing isn't cheap. At least you expect to get your order right. I've always come here to get my usual drinks when I grocery shop. But today, was the day things didn't order as planned. I ordered a Orange Yogurt drinks with Mango Popping Boba, 50% sweetened and no ice. They also handed me a orange yogurt with no topping and iced. Then they had to break the seal to take out some ice and add the mango popping boba. The second drink was the Red Wow Milk. I asked for little boba and more milk. And it was still the same as a normal order. Since their toppings was sweet, I'm trying to cut half down while still able to enjoy their drinks. Was quite disappointed with the service provided here today. They had a long list of items that were unavailable and the barista was not very friendly or helpful. The teas that we got were decent with enough boba and flavor. The restaurant itself was a little messy with trash cans overflowing and spills on the countertop. Yay now it is even easier to pick up a milk tea while you go grocery shopping! Located in front of the checkout lines closer to the food court, this location offers their typical drinks as well as Bubble cake and macarons. Being their grand opening weekend I was lucky to snag their BOGO deal and with a pretty short line for a Sunday around 5 PM. The BOGO deals were for 4 select drinks, Kung Fu Milk Tea, Passion Fruit Green Tea, Red WOW and Oreo WOW. I ended up choosing the Red WOW since I prefer my drink to be more milk based, and I love the combination of the sweetened red bean and the bubbles (boba). The only thing that I wished was if the bubbles were sweetened as they had no taste, just added a nice chewy texture. However overall, this drink is a great choice for those who are lactose intolerant as it is made with Lactaid. read more

In the world of boba, this place was mediocre. Went in during a quick quarantine grocery run in Ranch 99 and picked up 2 drinks. The lychee punch and the peach oolong. Peach oolong - delicious mix of peach and oolong tea (which is one of my faves) Lychee punch - hot mess, the lychee was overpoweringly sweet and the boba was very hard like it was undercooked?; had to drain it out once I got home Service - young lady was friendly but not very helpful, they had a special buy 2 get 1 free if you were a member which she never mentioned; I asked a few questions at the beginning and she didn't have any real answers I've been to the Bellaire location and it was a bit better there but this would be a last resort boba spot for me. I love kung fu tea, and this is a great spot to get your boba on after shopping at 99 ranch. However, I've had some mediocre boba from this place before, my most recent experience they served boba that was pretty hard, and way too much ice (I asked for less ice, too!). Everything else about this location is pretty on par with your typical KFT. They have a wide assortment of macarons, and the service is fast. read more

BEWARE: they are DECEITFUL and will take every chance to cheat you. I'm a big supporter of KFT. I should have known better bc this business is located inside the 99 ranch market; it's not a standalone, so they don't get enough traffic. They are struggling financially and so they put up 12 signs on the street claiming a BOGO. We were at the register ordered 4 drinks and were asked for payment, then the cashier conveniently said "oh btw, the BOGO refers to a free slush per order." Soo the BOGO was not a true deal it's a scheme to get you in and order then the sweaty cashier casually says you get a free slush for your order for 4 drinks. Don't trust. Stay away. read more

Thai tea and received kung fu milk tea requested if drinks aren't available to just refund !! Don't make the decision for us and subbed a drink for KungFu milk tea. The employee at the register was very nice and greeted me today. They was also very helpful and ask if I wanted my tea sweetened less, which I opted for. My wife and I love Kung Fu Tea and grab their tea once or twice a week. That said, we were psyched about a new store opening closer to home, in 99 Ranch to be exact. Unfortunately, this location has missed the mark for us numerous times for numerous reasons. Many of the great drinks the chain has to offer are either not available or are not mixed well. The piece de resistance was being told they don't offer a strawberry milk cap drink that was clearly being advertised on their menu board. My latest visit included a messed up order of peach oolong tea that failed to include boba that was clearly printed on the receipt and a milk tea that tasted something similar to mop water. I hope this is just a new store working out the bugs but I've been here a few times and there are consistent issues. read more

I was never a fan of boba tea until I tried Kung Fu Tea! I love the convenient location and the staff is nice & attentive. I will be coming back here more often for sure. They have a delicious variety of macaroons and so many drink options! They also shake the tea in a machine which I guess gives it that Kung Fu feel and I love it! Makes the drinks taste amazing. Ive been hoping a KFT would open in the Memorial/Spring Branch as Chinatown and Montrose were the two closest locations. When one finally opened, I was super excited. Tragically, it's been a huge disappointment. I've come several times hoping their service would improve but sadly it has not! Only one employee works the cashier and makes the drinks so it's painfully slow and the line grows to around the corner. Even if there is no line, its painful. But I've noticed there is always an individual in the back. During this last visit, they were out of tapioca. I asked them if they were going to make more and she said they did not have any tapioca. Today I visited Kung Fu Tea at Blalock location. I ordered taro milk tea. I noticed my milk tea was in the shake machine 2 times. The boy pressed it once and the girl pressed it again. At a result, there were so many air bubbles in my drink. One third of the cup was bubble. Not much milk tea left. I also noticed the young girl threw out a lot of milk tea left after she poured to my cup. When I tasted my drink, i just feel air bubble. I told her about this and her attitude was so bad. She just stared at the ceiling and did not say sorry. I requested more milk tea but she rejected. Super bad customer service. Won't come back read more

I ordered a medium taro milk tea with tapioca and it taste pretty darn good, I always like to drink milk tea even it make me sick afterwards, and it didn't really get me sick as much as other places do. I got a pumpkin cinnamon macaron and it was delicious , therefore Kung Fu Tea was a great experience. read more

i like kung fu because they have a unique regular milk tea (that doesn't taste mainstream like other boba shops). however, i do not recommend this location at all. the person there was nice and all but they didn't have their ingredients ready so she was still making the tapioca pearls after i ordered. she hurriedly put the boba in my drink and when i tasted it, there was absolutely no taste, i felt like i was chewing plain rubber. sad that i had to waste my money on something that had no taste... read more
