Kim's Tea House has been one of my favorite boba places for over a decade. I have been going to them since they still had their much smaller shop across the street from their current location. I don't stop by so often anymore because I rarely go to the Westchase area now, but whenever I do, I have to stop by and get smoothies from them. Their current store is spacious, and the workers are friendly. They have a large selection of smoothies, teas, coffees, and slurpies as well as a wide variety of drink toppings and snacks. You can select a drink option that's already on their menu, but they also allow customization of flavors (mix and match), ice levels, sugar level, or other substitutions as you choose. Not all of them are pictured, but here are some of my favorite drinks from them: strawberry smoothie with strawberry jelly, taro smoothie with coffee jelly, mango coconut smoothie, frozen vanilla cappuccino, and frozen mocha.
I'm the type who doesn't like tea, so I always get smoothies when going with my friends to Boba places. That being said, I think this place has some of the best smoothies I've tried yet. Fruity and creamy without being overbearing. My favorite part is you can mix flavors even if the combination isn't on the menu. I love mango and coconut, and they have no problem mixing their individually listed mango smoothie and coconut smoothie together for me. All for a lot cheaper than a lot of other Boba places I've been to.
Came here on a Saturday right when they opened. They only had the mini boba available. The drinks were good. It wasn't crowded and we were able to order right away, however, the girl at the counter was kinda rude. Not really inclined to return. Played good music in there though.

This is my go-to place for boba tea when in Houston. It's a reliable place that makes consistently good drinks. They have lots of options, it can even be overwhelming at times. They also have quite a few foods in case you want a snack. The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and a cool (literally!) especially when you're escaping the hot humid Houston heat.
The green thai tea here is alright, a bit too milky for my taste and not enough tea flavor. As for the popcorn chicken it was delicious and I love the amount of basil they put in. I do wish the basil was a bit crunchier.

I was warned that it's quite sweet and she recommended the brown sugar milk tea instead. I'll keep that in mind next time. The drink overall was very flavorful and sweet. I really liked it!
Smoothie they have non dairy options which is good, the food is good but you can order food but they are charging 50 cents for sauce .....you order food and have to eat it dry with zero sauce I guess . Seems odd and cheap of them. I got an Avacado smooth it was ok, I said I want lite tapioca and I told them like barely any . You can see the pics doesn't look like lite or barely any but it's ok. The service was nice , other than charging and being cheap for sauce that kinda made me annoyed lol I don't wanna swipe my credit card for 50 cents . So the food wasn't that good without the sauce. This place deserves 4 stars but like the sauce ticked me off , I get it if you didn't order any food items asking for sauce but if you ordered the fried calamari like I did it should come with sauce ....

I have been to the now-closed-down Katy location a few times - but also to the one inside the Hong Kong City Mall. This location is going strong on Westheimer. I like it and they are friendly and the products are good. Not my favourite Bubble Tea in town but definitely worth a try. Looking forward to coming back here and sampling a few more things. One of the original Bubble Tea Shops of Houston and they still make good products similar to Teahouse after all these years. They're Vietnamese so try the coffee and such, don't expect Taiwan style tea here, for that there are plenty of chains around. There are much better Boba shops out there, I know, but with lots of varying standards of Viet shops around Houston, if you want the original and one which is still going strong and doing well after all these years, this is one of those brands.
This place holds the number one spot in my heart for two things: the fresh watermelon juice and popcorn chicken! I'm not a fan of toppings in my drinks and their watermelon juice is the perfect level of sweetness on its own and is awesome for cooling off during the summer. The popcorn chicken comes in different spice levels that can be inconsistent at times, but the flavor is always there--crispy, juicy, and with lots of basil. I've never stayed long enough inside to chat but there's also a ton of seating and big tables suitable for big groups!

This place price wise is awesome. Boba & finger food is definitely priced well & super good. I ordered popcorn chicken (medium spice) and they came out fresh/hot. Spice level was super good, definitely had a kick to it. Boba was good but I also got zero sugar added which was nice they had that option. We also got sweet potato fries & they were seasoned so well! Food comes in bags & they have toothpicks to each which I preferred. Great place. Plenty of seating and parking. Quiet too, and we saw several people studying.

Came here straight from Uncle Chin's Kitchen to wash down all the intense spices. Nước Mát (0%) - Definitely more of a dessert-style nước mát. I could tell by the vibrant green color that it was partially Thai-inspired. Still very delicious and not too sweet--they don't add any sugar to this, so the sweetness comes entirely from the jellies. It came with grass jelly, coconut jelly, basil seeds, and a variety of other toppings in an artichoke tea base. Honeydew Milk Tea - Okay--this was an instant "mmmm!" kind of vibe. It genuinely tasted like honeydew, albeit a bit artificial. It had a rich flavor, a vibrant green color, and wasn't too sweet. I wouldn't order this for myself, but I do love stealing sips from my BF's. (I was pretty sugared out at this point too.) The place is very spacious, and it's right next to bb.q Chicken, my favorite Korean fried chicken spot! It would also be a great place to study if you're looking for wide-open tables. read more
Great place to get popcorn, chicken and Boba! They have three locations I believe and I do think that their popcorn chicken taste better than Boba but their drink drinks still taste pretty good for what it is! I highly recommend and would come back read more

I was going to get a haircut next door and saw people coming out with drinks. I went in and asked if they have Thai tea. They do. It wasn't that good. I've had better. I didn't finish it. I saw that they have a few meal items. There is plenty of seating but the customers I saw there were taking their drinks to go. read more

Love the drinks and snacks here!! They have a great selection of here with awesome customer service. Wait time is typically 10-15 min depending on how busy they are. - Thai green tea (5/5): you can never go wrong with their Thai green tea. Very flavorful and aromatic with perfect tea to milk ratio. I always order it with boba (of course before it's sold out) - Thai tea (5/5): again another classic. Can't go wrong at Kim's. I would highly recommend it with boba. - Strawberry green tea (4.5/5): super aromatic green tea with a hint of jasmine. Only complaint is they use strawberry syrup, but it's still good! - Calamari/popcorn chicken/squid balls (5/5): these are amazinggg! Always get them spicy! read more

Neighborhood hangout for police, students, and remote workers. Kim's tea house offers the classic "third place" that large chains compete for with a more local taste and flare. Their menu is primarily variations of boba teas and smoothies, I haven't done the math but I'm sure there's thousands of combinations to try so enough to keep coming back. Pretty standard flavors but like most boba teas tend to run on the sweet side, pro tip, ask for half sweet and save the calories for a second tea. They offer small foods and snacks but a lunch could be put together with their fried calamari and chicken strips. The interior is somewhat eclectic but with plenty of seating, clean surroundings, clean restrooms, and competitive pricing it's neat place to stop by if you're like to unwind and socialize with over a drink that's not a bar. read more

Kim's Tea House is located in the same plaza as LensCrafters and Sally's Beauty, specifically next door to Logan Farms Honey Ham with plenty of parking. My husband and I came here on a Saturday, a little before 4 pm. After looking at the menu board, we ended up getting: Popcorn Chicken, $4.50 prior to tax- A good portion to share for 2, comes with a little basil leaves which gives the chicken a little bit more flavor. Some pieces were a little salty though. Special Combo Pork Sandwich, $4 prior to tax- My husband was really hungry since we had an early and small lunch. He decided to get this sandwich and thought it was good. I didn't eat any since I wasn't as hungry as he was but it came with pickled vegetables (in which the employee did ask if we he wanted everything on his sandwich when we ordered). Hot Almond Cream Tea, $3.75 prior to tax- I ordered this to be made with 50% sweetener. I thought this drink was good for the most part but could tell that it was made with powder since it was gritty at the bottom. Lychee Green Tea, $3.25 prior to tax- My husband ordered this. I don't like green tea so I didn't try any but he liked it. ----------------------- (Total= $16.78 after tax) Wait time for our order was about 10 minutes after ordering. Food was good and price was fair. Overall, a good place to grab some tea and some snacks or even a meal if you are in the area. Please note that place does have a lot of seating but didn't see too many outlets, in case you wish to come here to study and need to plug in your electronic devices. The ladies restroom was clean upon this visit and adequately stocked with the essentials. read more

My first time here and it definitely won't be my last! I got a milk tea with boba and it's pretty good. The boba is soft and chewy as well. The staff is friendly and there is a lot of seating inside. Plenty of parking in the lot outside too! Ps they have a rewards program here if you buy ten get one free read more
Haven't been to Kim's Teahouse in years! I keep reminding myself there are tons of tea houses around town now and it's true...there is a whole lotta competition. This location is pretty spacious, with high tops and regular tables. I could see this as a hang out place with friends and maybe even a place to get some work done if not too crowded or noisy. My group ordered some banh mi to share and a few drinks. The combination pork banh mi came nicely wrapped in a paper with Kim's logo but after unrolling it to open, it was immediately a disappointment. The bread wasn't stale but it also wasn't good, as there wasn't a crispy outside. The fillings were also very mediocre, and stuffed with shredded carrots more than anything else. Maybe I chose the wrong banh mi, but I wasn't a big fan of all the cold meat inside. The flavor was really lacking and price wise, my fave banh mi place definitely wins by taste and cost. We also tried the taro smoothie with tapioca, frozen coffee mocha, and red bean smoothie with tapioca. The sweetness level at fifty percent was still way too sweet for my taste. The most off putting thing though, was that these smoothies were not really smooth at all. The taro and the red bean smoothies were pretty much frozen and way too icy. The frozen coffee mocha was true to its name despite flavor not very strong. The tapioca was adequately cooked through though. Overall not what I'd prefer because I don't believe any of their drinks are fresh (I think they use powders). Customer service was OK, typical counter service. I think I'll be grabbing my "tea" elsewhere. read more

OMG... This spicy chicken is the best! My KIM'S SPECIAL BBQ PORK BAN MI is packed with ingredients...simply delicious. I'm seriously considering this to be my new favorite place to frequent until I have tried EVERYTHING on the menu. read more
A friend treated me to Kim's for lunch today: banh mi, chicken nuggets, and a fruity iced drink. The banh mi was pork and very filling - I only ate half of it. The chicken nuggets were super flavorful and one of my favorite cheap snacks to get at tea/tapioca places. The drink is really refreshing. I never noticed there was a Kim's so close to where I work, I'll be sure to visit myself next time I get the craving. read more
They have amazing drinks! Service is hit or miss depending on who's working the counter, bad customer service usually deters me from frequenting an establishment, but the refreshments here are just so good I go in ignore the attitudes and leave satisfied with my drinks or snacks of choosing. My husband and I were looking for a good Banh Mi, and came upon Kim's. The atmosphere is comfortable. The service is not super friendly, but not terrible. We shared a pork banh mi and wings. The wings were really good- nicest seasoned, hot and fresh and crispy. The sandwich was okay- not enough meat, not enough flavor and the bread needed to be a little more toasted. read more

I love this place! I eat from here at least once a week. There calamaris are amazing!! Let's not forget the chicken sandwich and there green tea with honey. I highly recommend. This location is the best and I know this because I've been to other locations and the service and food is horrible. This location even has excellent customer service. read more

O My G* the hazelnut w/ tapioca gave Me life.. Such a great way to cool down on a hot summer day in Houston! My nephew tried the strawberry kiwi smoothie which was also tasty but wasn't My favorite "too sweet" $4 There's fresh fruit displayed for drinks, baked cookies, and other goods when You approch the counter/register They offer food like calamari spicy chicken and fries too* Had the fries and They were decent for an afternoon snack $2 The decor is very sheek.. Music playing in the background as the employees blend what seems to be most popular "strawberry banana" smoothies and everyone is very attentive offering help answering any questions about the menu I definitely recommend giving this gem a try and if You're indeciecive as I am look at the menu ahead of time* read more

I came here because I was intrigued by the idea of taro jelly sinkers in my bubble tea, but when I tried to order them, I faced the all too familiar, "Oh we don't have those anymore." Well then why's it still listed on your menu? But whatever. The place is still cool with a unique selection. I ordered a lavender green cream tea lightly sweetened with matcha pudding and baby tapioca, and it was super flavorful but way too sweet until the ice melted a bunch 30 minutes later. Maybe the lavender they use is presweetened? I'll probably order unsweetened next time. I also got a BBQ banh mi. The pork was almost jerky level dry, but the bread was fresh, and overall it tasted really great, especially with the all-powerful sriracha they have available. I'm def curious to try the famous popcorn chicken and squid next time. read more

Kim's tea house is a hip little joint with a wide selection of authentic boba teas, smoothies and slush drinks as well as delicious bites. I highly recommend this place and the steady crowd seemed to agree. read more
