Kim's Tea House has been one of my favorite boba places for over a decade. I have been going to them since they still had their much smaller shop across the street from their current location. I don't stop by so often anymore because I rarely go to the Westchase area now, but whenever I do, I have to stop by and get smoothies from them. Their current store is spacious, and the workers are friendly. They have a large selection of smoothies, teas, coffees, and slurpies as well as a wide variety of drink toppings and snacks. You can select a drink option that's already on their menu, but they also allow customization of flavors (mix and match), ice levels, sugar level, or other substitutions as you choose. Not all of them are pictured, but here are some of my favorite drinks from them: strawberry smoothie with strawberry jelly, taro smoothie with coffee jelly, mango coconut smoothie, frozen vanilla cappuccino, and frozen mocha.

I'm the type who doesn't like tea, so I always get smoothies when going with my friends to Boba places. That being said, I think this place has some of the best smoothies I've tried yet. Fruity and creamy without being overbearing. My favorite part is you can mix flavors even if the combination isn't on the menu. I love mango and coconut, and they have no problem mixing their individually listed mango smoothie and coconut smoothie together for me. All for a lot cheaper than a lot of other Boba places I've been to.

Came here on a Saturday right when they opened. They only had the mini boba available. The drinks were good. It wasn't crowded and we were able to order right away, however, the girl at the counter was kinda rude. Not really inclined to return. Played good music in there though.

I'm obsessed with taro milk tea so I found Kim's Tea House by searching for milk tea spots on google map. It tasted exactly the way I wanted, perfect amount of sweetness to it. This location is also spacious inside if you want to sit down and enjoy your food or drink.

This place never disappoints! The drinks are always perfect! The service was excellent and the prices are always fair! Love this place! Highly recommend!!

The green thai tea here is alright, a bit too milky for my taste and not enough tea flavor. As for the popcorn chicken it was delicious and I love the amount of basil they put in. I do wish the basil was a bit crunchier.

This is my go-to place for boba tea when in Houston. It's a reliable place that makes consistently good drinks. They have lots of options, it can even be overwhelming at times. They also have quite a few foods in case you want a snack. The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and a cool (literally!) especially when you're escaping the hot humid Houston heat.

Not my usual boba place. Stopped by here because it was on the way. The interior is very spacious and dim lighting. The service was quick and the cashier was very helpful with helping me pick my order. I got the brown sugar whole milk. I was warned that it's quite sweet and she recommended the brown sugar milk tea instead. I'll keep that in mind next time. The drink overall was very flavorful and sweet. I really liked it!

Smoothie they have non dairy options which is good, the food is good but you can order food but they are charging 50 cents for sauce .....you order food and have to eat it dry with zero sauce I guess . Seems odd and cheap of them. I got an Avacado smooth it was ok, I said I want lite tapioca and I told them like barely any . You can see the pics doesn't look like lite or barely any but it's ok. The service was nice , other than charging and being cheap for sauce that kinda made me annoyed lol I don't wanna swipe my credit card for 50 cents . So the food wasn't that good without the sauce. This place deserves 4 stars but like the sauce ticked me off , I get it if you didn't order any food items asking for sauce but if you ordered the fried calamari like I did it should come with sauce ....

This place holds the number one spot in my heart for two things: the fresh watermelon juice and popcorn chicken! I'm not a fan of toppings in my drinks and their watermelon juice is the perfect level of sweetness on its own and is awesome for cooling off during the summer. The popcorn chicken comes in different spice levels that can be inconsistent at times, but the flavor is always there--crispy, juicy, and with lots of basil. I've never stayed long enough inside to chat but there's also a ton of seating and big tables suitable for big groups!

It's Kim Possible to get a good tea here, you just have to know what to order. Otherwise other drinks are Odder. Don't order odder drinks. Not til you're older. I love Kim's Tea House. I have been to the now-closed-down Katy location a few times - but also to the one inside the Hong Kong City Mall. This location is going strong on Westheimer. I like it and they are friendly and the products are good. Not my favourite Bubble Tea in town but definitely worth a try. Looking forward to coming back here and sampling a few more things. One of the original Bubble Tea Shops of Houston and they still make good products similar to Teahouse after all these years. They're Vietnamese so try the coffee and such, don't expect Taiwan style tea here, for that there are plenty of chains around. There are much better Boba shops out there, I know, but with lots of varying standards of Viet shops around Houston, if you want the original and one which is still going strong and doing well after all these years, this is one of those brands.

New hours in pictures. One of the tastiest bubble tea options outside Chinatown. The avocado mango smoothie and the black sugar smoothie at 25% sweetness/50% ice are my go-tos.

This place price wise is awesome. Boba & finger food is definitely priced well & super good. I ordered popcorn chicken (medium spice) and they came out fresh/hot. Spice level was super good, definitely had a kick to it. Boba was good but I also got zero sugar added which was nice they had that option. We also got sweet potato fries & they were seasoned so well! Food comes in bags & they have toothpicks to each which I preferred. Great place. Plenty of seating and parking. Quiet too, and we saw several people studying.

Would LOVE to take my cousins here one day…read more Environment/Atmosphere - Super crowded when we got here, but the lines moved fast, and there was a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait in line for the cashier. One of my favorite things was how fragrant the space smelled while I waited for my boba. You could tell there was an exceptional tea aroma lingering despite all the cream and sweetness. The place was exceptionally clean for being so busy, and the workers consistently cleaned as they made the drinks, so you knew you could trust the sanitation here. Drink Design - I have to make a separate comment on how CUTE these drinks were. I loved the intentional sticker placement over the lips and the little carrying handle. You could tell they went the extra mile to make these drinks not just flavorful, but an experience in and of themselves. Even their receipt paper felt luxurious. That sounds ridiculous to point out, but the thought behind every aspect of this place is impeccable. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had today, this lemony drink hit the spot with its perfect tartness. The cream had bits of lemon zest in it, adding to the aroma. I tried to adjust the sweetness when I ordered and was told it had a built-in sweetness, but if I found it too sweet, they would happily switch it out for another drink. I felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy--and luckily, the drink was perfect, so no return was needed! Creamy Mango Tart - Literally like the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much and really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of BOTH tarts. Instantly a fan favorite. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my favorite because it was a bit too creamy after everything else I had today. Still, I loved the tea profile and can absolutely see why others would love it. Overall, I love, love, LOVE this place. 1000/10. From the experience to the quality and intentionality behind every little detail, I couldn't be happier with my visit. I never thought I'd ever say that a drink was so Instagram-worthy, but these drinks were beautiful--like models of the boba world. Would go back in a heartbeat. This has officially won the spot for my favorite boba place.

We were about to buy something when the lady told us not to get it because it wasn't good and they were planning to return it. The drinks took a while to come out but they make everything fresh so it was worth the wait. While we waited we checked out their crane machines and played a round. Mama Mia Special (L $9.75): Wow, this was a huge cup packed with fruit. I loved the coconut meat, jelly, and strawberry. The mango bits were not quite ripe so they were a bit sour but everything else made up for it. Matcha Mia (L $8): Yum, delicious and easy to drink. I actually liked this one more than the special since it combines sugarcane and coconut juice and just works really well together. Multi Flavor Waffle ($5.75): Comes with three flavors, pandan, durian, and taro. It was so good. I loved the pandan the most. This Tastea is located in a very busy shopping center so parking can be challenging. Pack your patience. Customer service was really good. I even got to chat with the owner while waiting on my order. My intentions were to come get a refreshing drink, but when I got there, I remembered how much I loved the Karate Chicken here. I think it's a clever name for popcorn chicken. It comes in different spice levels so I went with the highest level which prompted them to ask me if I was sure. When they ask that, I typically dial it down a notch which I am glad I did, because the second to last level packed some heat. It was that good heat that you realize when you start sweating, but not the kind that burns in your mouth, The flavor was great and I love that they fry it with little bits of basil to give it some freshness to contrast the richness of the fry. For my drink I went with one of their seasonal drinks which was the Blueberry Blush. This drink was outstanding. It was an earl grey tea tea with diced white peaches. I also added mango popping boba in it because why not. I also asked for 50 percent sweetness level which was the right call. This drink was perfect for a hot day like it was. It was refreshing and the diced peaches reminded me of summer. The earl grey tea and the choice of anything blueberry was out of my ordinary but I am glad I was talked into this drink. I love this place because they have every type of boba drink you can think of from teas, milk teas, energy drinks, coffee, smoothies, slushes and hot drinks. They also have a decent selection of hot snacks and meals like chicken or shrimp rice bowls. Currently they are my favorite boba spot in the city. I will most definitely be back.
