I think this might be my second fav tea shop so far. I really love all of the varieties of drinks and especially the teas. What stands out about their teas is that they use real pieces of fruits in the tea and it makes it taste refreshing. They also have unique flavors like the magical lychee tea. The jellies that use also had good texture and flavor to them. The inside is very decorated to give you a nice cool trendy up to date vibe but also giving you an Asian inspired elements. This is absolutely ridiculous! Out of the four drinks I purchased, two of them were filled with an completely unreasonable amount of ice--approximately 60% ice in one cup and an astonishing 90% ice in the other. The employee's attitude and customer service were even more unacceptable. I purchased four drinks from this store at the same time. I specifically ordered all four drinks with less sugar and regular ice. However, out of the four drinks, two of them had an absurdly excessive amount of ice. One cup was approximately 60% ice, while the other was even worse, with approximately 90% of the cup filled with ice. I understand that I ordered regular ice, but does that really mean an employee can fill almost the entire cup with ice and leave only a tiny amount of actual drink? Regular ice and an excessive amount of ice are two completely different things. What made me even more angry was the employee's attitude. When I questioned the drink that was approximately 90% ice, the employee did not acknowledge the problem or attempt to resolve it. Instead, the employee argued with me and insisted that I was the one who was wrong. Even more absurdly, the employee told me that if I wanted the excessive amount of ice removed, I would have to pay extra! Are you serious? I ordered a drink with regular ice--not a drink that was 90% ice! Why should I have to pay an additional fee just to have an unreasonable amount of ice removed from a drink that I have already paid for? You are running a beverage shop, not an ice shop! I paid for four drinks, not four cups of ice. Even though I clearly requested regular ice, two out of the four drinks were filled with an unreasonable and ridiculous amount of ice. One cup being approximately 60% ice is already unacceptable, but having another cup that is approximately 90% ice is simply outrageous. The worst part of this experience was not just the excessive amount of ice. It was the fact that the employee refused to handle a reasonable customer complaint appropriately and instead chose to argue with me, making me feel as though I had somehow done something wrong. Customers should not have to argue with employees over something as basic as receiving a reasonable amount of actual beverage in a cup. If a beverage shop cannot even provide a reasonable proportion of the product that customers are paying for, then why should customers be expected to return? This experience was extremely disappointing. I was disappointed not only by the ridiculous amount of ice, but also by the employee's unwillingness to listen to a reasonable concern and the unacceptable attitude toward a paying customer. I came here to buy drinks, not to pay for cups of ice! I will seriously reconsider whether I ever want to visit this store again. Management should take this matter seriously and review both the way drinks are being prepared and the way employees are trained to handle customer concerns. Finally, I ended up returning the drink that was approximately 90% ice. What made the situation even more disturbing was that the employee did not throw the returned drink away. Instead, they put it back into the refrigerator/freezer to be sold to another customer later. That is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about how returned beverages are being handled and resold. read more

This bubble tea shop has so many options--it's honestly a little overwhelming at first! Thankfully, the staff were incredibly friendly and patient. One team member kindly explained the drinks I was curious about and even gave me a recommendation, which I really appreciated--and it was spot on! I went with the Hawaii Sunset fruit tea at 50% sugar. Just a heads-up: their fruit teas lean more on the fruit-forward side than actual tea, and mine was definitely on the sweeter end of the spectrum--likely from the syrup in the mango popping boba. Even at half sugar, it was pretty sweet. I also noticed a couple of things that could've made the drink better: some lemon seeds were left in, and the smaller bits of mango weren't fully ripe, which made the texture a bit off. That said, the staff's kindness and the wide variety of drinks make me want to come back and try other options! I'm especially interested in their Saigon street food menu and those adorable kitty paw-shaped mochi waffles. The shop itself is small with limited seating, so I'd recommend grabbing your drinks to-go unless you're staying for a bite. My uncle recommended this drink from the bep in bellaire called the herbal fresh coco refresher. It is a mix of coconut and grass jelly with some sago as well. This drink honestly hit the spot. It was so refreshing and felt really light. The grass jelly was easy to sip up occasionally as well as the sago. The coconut bits are in big pieces so I had to open the lid to eat them at the end. They are open late and they have plenty of parking. When we came in around 9:45 pm, they were busy, all the tables were packed and the line went to the door. Their drinks are fabulous! I had the S11 (70% sugar), M6 (no pudding), and F9 (70% sugar). There is food too but we already ate. The tables cleared up after we ordered so sitting at one while we waited for our drink and to drink our drinks was fine. The decorations are cute. read more

Let me preface that my mom truly loves The Bep and everything that they offer. However, after our last encounter, it was the last straw that broke the camel's back. While I do understand the supply and demand of to go boxes, and things costing the establishment, they nickel and dime customers every chance they get. My mom spends a LOT of money at The Bep and supports this business both this location and the beltway location. They had a new item that she was curious about, and just as she was about to purchase it, in addition to her $50 bill, she asks for a to go box so that her and I can share for the car ride back home. One of the ladies came to the cash register and told my mom, "that will be 50 cents". My mom looks up and looks at me with such shock and stated "50 cents??? You're kidding. I'm purchasing a lot of things and you're charging me 50 cents for a to go box????" She buys boxes of baos, packaged refrigerated drinks, snacks, to even boba. Her most favorite things are the boxes of baos and packaged drinks. And when I tell you, they are going at it back and forth over 50 cents, it just wasn't worth the headache. I intervene and stop the conversation and tell both people to stop. We don't need it. Then my mom proceeds to say "don't bother tipping". As we pay, the woman that argued with my mom, decides AFTER THE FACT, to give her the small cardboard Togo box. And my mom gives her the hand and says no. Sassy.... When moms are involved, don't test her. It's not worth the breath. At that point, it's just safe to say that we won't have to return to the Bellaire location. I'm very disappointed. I've been coming to this place for quite some time. Both locations in fact. I ordered a mango green tea with 75% sugar and less ice. When I received my order, it tasted straight up like an orange/citrus drink. At first I thought I was tripping. Then I tried my drink again & came to the realization that it was indeed NOT a mango green tea. When I came up to the cashier to ask if my drink was made properly, she talked to the girl in the back. They said something along the lines of "I did make it right. It's probably sour because she reduced her sugar." This makes zero sense to me because I've had their mango green tea before and it was never this sour. The cashier proceeds to tell me that the drink was made right it was just on me because I decided to change my sugar levels. She offered to add more sugar into my drink, but I did not want to do so because it wouldn't have made my drink any better (aka taste like mango).
