Misleading and was told they are 'decorations' in the picture

False advertisement and misleading on promo drink. Didn't offer to change my drink. And be careful the carbonations was expanding with the seal.

I forgot to take a pic of the boba :( but I went for their grand opening after seeing social media campaigns of BOGO drinks at the grand opening! We arrived at 6PM and hoped to beat out the crowd since we knew it would be busy but there was still quite a wait 30-45min outside. They did walk around with hot ginger tea to warm us up which we greatly appreciated in the cold weather!! The shop itself is pretty small and cozy but was bright and had cute photobooth decor for the grandopening. We ended up ordering 6 drinks (variety of tea, slushies, and yogurt drinks). Their signature boba is golden boba (a yellow boba ball with honey so a bit sweeter), but they also had normal black boba. I do wish they have this indicated somewhere on the menu as we had to ask to make sure they had it. The slushies were amazing - we had the passionfruit and mango which were so yum. Their brown sugar boba tea was also a classic and the boba was cooked well (not too mushy and not too hard. Their Monster Boba seems to be a mix of brown sugar milk tea and coffee which my husband raved about. What's neat about this places that they do have a large variety of toppings, such as Oreo, tiramisu and dalgona. I would love to try the Viet coffee next time or their dalgona/tiramisu toppings. I will say their small drinks are very small. In my opinion, the price of the small drink is what I would pay for a more medium size drink at other Boba shops. I want to say it is 12 oz? I think most others is 16 oz for small and 20+ for large but I could be wrong. Additionally, we were a bit disappointed to find out that the BOGO was really 5.50 off your second drink. I kind of wish they disclosed that in all their social media post since there was quite a few. Reason being that the small tea drinks already typically start at 5-6 but if you want boba or anything than its an extra $1 and then to get a large it is another 75ct so it's no longer fully covered with the promotion which was again disappointing when we came thinking it was full bogo. Overall, good boba shop that we may consider visiting more often but wish they were more transparent about the deal!

Ding Tea grand opening was pretty cool to witness. They had a line out the door at 1Pm getting ready for their lion dance. However, waiting in this line for over 1+ hour wasn't it! It was pretty disorganized due to the "Photo Booth" area they had. They had all close friends/family cutting in for pictures whenever they choose to and that made the line move slower than it already is. I'll def try this place again on a normal day. I was a little disappointed the "Bogo" they had was $5.50 off only. Not entirely a "free" drink But overall, ding tea drinks are still good ! I ordered their taro mash green tea with golden boba, I shoulda made it 50% sugar and it woulda been perfect. Ding tea has one of the better tasting bobas in Houston. I love their drinks even though it is on the pricy end (drinks start at $5-6, .75c for size upg, + $.75-1 for toppings) . I spent $10 with the "bogo promo" for 2 drinks

I tried the chocolate milk tea and it was amazing, rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet. Their fruit teas are super refreshing, especially on a hot day. The drinks are always consistent, and the staff is really nice !!

Cafe 101 serve Japanese and Chinese food. There are table and booths inside as well as a full bar. We started with a couple of sushi specials... bluefin toro and Uni. Thought the bluefin toro were fresh as well as the Uni. Wasn't expecting so was pleasantly surprised. For our mains, we ordered the twice cooked pork and beef galbi. Both came as a set... with rice, side dish of pickled radish and carrots and dessert. Price-wise, it was reasonable considering it came as a set. Twice cooked pork hits the spot. It was plenty and had some to go. Galbi was decent... it's not like Korean Galbi. It was pretty saucy, sweet and tender. It was decent portion as well. Think we found our new late night spot! Look forward to trying out the rest of their menu in the future. :-)

The lounge like ambiance, along with their diner-like menu, is a major selling point for folks and has been one of the reasons for their popularity over the better part of the last two decades. It is a bit trendy and plays music that you would think of and in a Miami lounge or a pretentious New York Club. While service is not their strong suit, the clean bathrooms, spacious seating, and semi-open kitchen makes up for some 'tudes from the staff. The menu is most definitely Asian, but blends from a predominantly Chinese menu and featuring various Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese items. The latter includes sushi, which is likely one of the only spots in the neighborhood that still has it after midnight. They have bluefin tuna and sea urchin, in which Cafe 101 is one of the only late night spots to offer it. Their beef chow fun is nice and greasy, but filled with excessive onions, bean sprouts, and various other veggies that almost take away from the noodles and beef (which was nicely cooked). Their shrimp and egg came in a nice set, which was a good surprise and surprisingly well executed. This is also a spot for Japanese curry, and even though it's not the best, it most certainly does the job. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is on point, cumin lamb is unsurprisingly spicy, and Singapore chow mai fun has a tinge of solid wok hei. (#1) I'm genuinely not a fan of their soups and think the sushi rolls are not their best work. While they also have milk, tea options, unless one is desperate, I would also steer clear of. Parking in the early evening can be an issue at Don Huang Plaza, but after 11pm, the parking options should be abundant. I would consider coming here in a larger group, especially with late night owls. ___________ (#1) Wok's essence (鑊氣)

Luckily there wasn't a line. I picked up a green tea passion fruit tea and was surprised how tasty it was! The drink was a pretty yellow hue with passion fruit seeds at the top. The green tea flavor wasn't overly strong or dry wnd was very fragrant-- super tasty~ It came in a recyclable little sling carrier too, super cute :) I love how the brand focuses on real fruit, milk/cream so there aren't any artificial ingredients lurking around. You can order at the kiosk or at the cashier. For sweetness customization, they only have full level, less sweet, and no sugar options. The less sweet is already plenty sweet for me, so wish there was a slightly less sweet option than that. The service was polite and friendly, and the inside was clean with several tables. Besides the great taste, I really appreciate the "no artificial stuff" way of doing things. After one drink I'm Chicha San Chen fan! Be sure to stop by sometime and try their tea :D

Staff is very friendly and helpful in explaining the different team options and flavors. There is even a tasting station where fresh tea is brewed for interested customers. All tea drinks are freshly brewed (very cool to see the brewing process), so fragrant. The taro balls and boba are also very nicely cooked and tasty! The store is clean with several tables for sitting down and chit-chatting. Although price is higher than other boba tea places, their quality truly is more superior. Chicha San Chen is definitely one of the top places to go for boba and tea!

My go-to order here is the salted Vietnamese coffee, and I can confidently say it's amazing--rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. In addition to great coffee, Mtea offers a selection of desserts throughout the day, making it an ideal place to satisfy your sweet tooth. I love the skinny baguette that comes with the combo options, though it does take a bit of time to prepare, so keep that in mind if you're in a hurry. I also tried their matcha latte, which was decent but didn't quite hit the mark for me as much as the coffee does. However, overall, Mtea is a solid spot worth checking out, especially for early risers looking to enjoy a delightful start to their day!

They have a Pokemon pack vending machine, but the prices are CRAZY, also it has some janky AI slop art as a background. If you have trouble saying no to your kids, I would recommend steering away... What brought this review from a 3 to a 4 was their ambiance. The space is fairly spacious, good amount of tables, plugs, and chairs, really great for studying.
