Cute inside. Boba was pretty tasty but the drinks tasted like milk with little flavor. Ordered through kiosk with prompt service.

I thought this place was really cute! I do like the size options they offer. The drink itself was OK, but I do have some other tea places that I like better, personally. Customer Service was really great! Pricing was about average I'd say.

I've heard of Xing Fu Tang for years! I didn't even know out very own Houston had one. It's such a cute little place. The decor and aesthetic is giving temple/fortune telling vibes, iykyk. The customer service could've been better especially given there was literally no one in the store. The prices for the drinks are on the higher end. I got the Dalgona Milk Boba Tea, it's good and unique but towards the bottom it got a little too bitter for my liking.

This was my first time here. I was not aware of how popular Xing Fu Tang is, but I had a great guide who steered me in the right direction! The inside is nice and very clean, including the restrooms. When we arrived, it was pretty quiet on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. There was plenty of seating. There was a claw machine to the side. You can see all the drinks being made which I thought was pretty cool! The menu is diverse with numerous options for different milk drinks, fruit teas, and some specialty drinks. I got the matcha boba milk. I was in the mood for contributing to the global matcha shortage. It was a good drink. The matcha mixed well with the milk layer underneath. The strawberry boba was the perfect choice and there was plenty. I was also able to try a bit of the brown sugar boba milk tea. It wasn't too sweet which I enjoyed. The brown sugar boba also packed a perfect level of sweetness. I'm not surprised that this is what they're best known for. Would come back to try a different drink if in the area!

The service was terrible. This lady was so rude and judgmental. She looks at you standing there and doesn't even bother to approach you and take the order and she stay mean mugging people.

I came here with a friend after a nice relaxing massage. I got a green tea with grape fruit sliced and we also got a boba tea. Service was quick and easy.

Xing Fu Tang is a popular boba spot located in a busy plaza with plenty of parking. If you're a fan of milky boba drinks, Xing Fu Tang is ... an ok choice. The boba itself is unmatched to any other boba shops but their drinks are bland/mediocre. If Xing Fu Tang sold the boba on its own--perhaps in a 4 oz cup for $4--I'd be there in a heartbeat to grab just that. Ube Brown Sugar Boba - ube flavor was subtle and the drink itself was bland. Matcha Boba Milk - While the matcha flavor was strong, it was poorly executed. The drink had a noticeable granular texture, which made it feel like the matcha wasn't fully dissolved. It's not the smooth, creamy drink you'd expect from a properly made matcha--this one left a lot to be desired. The service was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed, which made for a pleasant visit.

Being that Xing Fu Tang originates from Taiwan, I was excited to try something I hoped would be close to the real deal. The drinks are beautifully presented and it's easy to be sold on ordering when the boba is freshly made in a wok and scooped right in front of you. I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, which features torched brown sugar, a little zhush compared to XFT's other brown sugar drinks. While you can adjust the sweetness and ice levels for all their beverages, I recommend sticking with full sugar for this one. I tried it with reduced sweetness, and it ended up tasting more like milk than a true brown sugar milk tea.

I really wanted to like this place but the flavor was disappointing. I got the brown sugar milk tea, and it tasted mostly like milk. The service was great and quick and there were plenty of seats.

Good customer services and Good drinks. I ordered two brown sugar milk with boba. I love their boba and Milkfoam with Fresh boba and organic fresh milk. All high quality ingredients. It's not too much sweet. We can adjust the sugar and ice levels. I definitely come back to try the other drinks.

Boba's always made fresh here! Service was quick with the order. Decorum was nice and trendy with wish sticks to give you your fortune (part of decorations). I got their X-Large standard brown sugar special (including tax is $9.49). Very flavorful and tasty! Would come back if I went back to Houston & was craving brown sugar boba.

Didn't ask about nut allergies, boba places are usually fine. Order - to - Drink: 2 minutes I decided to try this shop because someone said the "boba was good". I would like to report back that this person's food opinions shall never again be trusted, because this was truly some of the most overpriced, lousy tea that I've had in this entire area of Houston. Firstly, you can't customize the sugar level because all of the sugar comes from the overly sweet brown sugar boba. The boba is overcooked, with mixed textures that vary from "okay" to "inedibly stiff". They're so sugary that they overpower any flavor of tea that might exist. The size of the drink is ridiculously small for the price ($7 before tip). They get a saving grace for speed of service (I got my drink in like, two minutes). There are so many other good options nearby. Go literally anywhere else.

I'm going to say it straight This place is ELITE. SUPREME. They make THE BEST milk tea and tapioca. I never get tapioca in milk tea because it's usually so gross everywhere else. Not here! It's hot, fresh and the perfect t consistency. Is it pricey? Yes. But it is so worth it. Plus for lactose intolerant ladies like myself they offer lactaid! My favorite order is boba milk w lacatid. I've been here at least 10 times so far. Always a must visit when I go to Houston.

Sooo bad!!! NO flavor and BOBA SO HARD NOT THE SAME ANY MORE.

Cafe 101 serve Japanese and Chinese food. There are table and booths inside as well as a full bar. We started with a couple of sushi specials... bluefin toro and Uni. Thought the bluefin toro were fresh as well as the Uni. Wasn't expecting so was pleasantly surprised. For our mains, we ordered the twice cooked pork and beef galbi. Both came as a set... with rice, side dish of pickled radish and carrots and dessert. Price-wise, it was reasonable considering it came as a set. Twice cooked pork hits the spot. It was plenty and had some to go. Galbi was decent... it's not like Korean Galbi. It was pretty saucy, sweet and tender. It was decent portion as well. Think we found our new late night spot! Look forward to trying out the rest of their menu in the future. :-)

The lounge like ambiance, along with their diner-like menu, is a major selling point for folks and has been one of the reasons for their popularity over the better part of the last two decades. It is a bit trendy and plays music that you would think of and in a Miami lounge or a pretentious New York Club. While service is not their strong suit, the clean bathrooms, spacious seating, and semi-open kitchen makes up for some 'tudes from the staff. The menu is most definitely Asian, but blends from a predominantly Chinese menu and featuring various Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese items. The latter includes sushi, which is likely one of the only spots in the neighborhood that still has it after midnight. They have bluefin tuna and sea urchin, in which Cafe 101 is one of the only late night spots to offer it. Their beef chow fun is nice and greasy, but filled with excessive onions, bean sprouts, and various other veggies that almost take away from the noodles and beef (which was nicely cooked). Their shrimp and egg came in a nice set, which was a good surprise and surprisingly well executed. This is also a spot for Japanese curry, and even though it's not the best, it most certainly does the job. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is on point, cumin lamb is unsurprisingly spicy, and Singapore chow mai fun has a tinge of solid wok hei. (#1) I'm genuinely not a fan of their soups and think the sushi rolls are not their best work. While they also have milk, tea options, unless one is desperate, I would also steer clear of. Parking in the early evening can be an issue at Don Huang Plaza, but after 11pm, the parking options should be abundant. I would consider coming here in a larger group, especially with late night owls. ___________ (#1) Wok's essence (鑊氣)

Luckily there wasn't a line. I picked up a green tea passion fruit tea and was surprised how tasty it was! The drink was a pretty yellow hue with passion fruit seeds at the top. The green tea flavor wasn't overly strong or dry wnd was very fragrant-- super tasty~ It came in a recyclable little sling carrier too, super cute :) I love how the brand focuses on real fruit, milk/cream so there aren't any artificial ingredients lurking around. You can order at the kiosk or at the cashier. For sweetness customization, they only have full level, less sweet, and no sugar options. The less sweet is already plenty sweet for me, so wish there was a slightly less sweet option than that. The service was polite and friendly, and the inside was clean with several tables. Besides the great taste, I really appreciate the "no artificial stuff" way of doing things. After one drink I'm Chicha San Chen fan! Be sure to stop by sometime and try their tea :D
