As a matter of fact, have an unwrapping party when you get to your new home because these guys do not cheap out on securely wrapping your belongings! They subcontracted the job out to Zip to Zip, a completely different moving company that has its own problem ratings. Then, too few movers were sent. Every moving quote I received was for 5-6 movers, except for Cimply, who quoted a rate for basically "how ever many movers were needed". They sent four movers, one of whom was late. ZIP TO ZIP THEMSELVES quoted five movers for this job...but sent fewer movers than that. That of course, led to extra hours being charged, since 30% fewer movers will take 30% longer to do the work...while still charging the higher rate. On the move itself, they put things in wrong rooms, didn't reassemble all of the furniture they took apart (TVs, bookshelves, etc), and they broke the handle on an expensive humidor that I went out of my way to ask be handled with care. Apparently this is a pattern, because the people that recommended Cimply said "yeah I've heard three similar complaints recently, I may have to stop recommending them" I spoke to Tom post move - at first he was responsive, offered to try and resolve, and asked me for an email with details on the issues. Once I sent that, about a week ago, I heard nothing more than except acknowledging receipt of the email. The last straw was the humidor - I thought the handle just became loose during the move somehow. I asked my usual handyman to see about tightening the handle, and he explained that the door was damaged, probably by the humidor being picked up by that handle. I'm furious! The kicker is that the huge Eastern European movers stand on your head menacingly to have you e-sign the cc confirmation even before you are done. They know exactly what they are doing, and they count on the chaos of the move and the moment to cover up their problems. I'm still trying to unwind this disaster, and it's been weeks. Horrendous.

Background: These movers were supposed to move me from NJ to PA yesterday for $3700, with a 26 ft truck and 3 guys for a 3 bedroom house and the contents of a garage. These guys showed up with a small box truck and only two guys. There was no way they could move me. After I told them there's no way you're gonna be able to move me in that small truck, they left. Then several minutes later came back and knocked on my door again. They asked to video tape the contents of my house. I let them. This is after we already determined they were unable to do the move. Then they left again. About an hour later, my doorbell starts going off like it's an emergency. It was animal control. The officer said they just got a complaint from the moving company that I was endangering animals. He said there was a complaint of feces and urine all over the floors throughout my house and animals running all throughout the house. He said he knew that the movers called out of spite, but had to process the complaint anyway. Like a good "order follower". I told them to get a warrant. The authorities showed up at my home with multiple police officers all geared-out to "handle" what they officer admitted was a false report of animal endangerment. Remember, these movers took video. If this company has video that shows feces and urine "all over the floors" and animal endangerment, they would post it. These movers could've come back with a 26 ft truck and 3 guys like I contracted for but instead weaponized the authorities to harass and intimidate me. Now instead of moving to my new home ahead of 4th of July weekend I'm in limbo. I had to locate other movers on the spot and then deal with the authorities in NJ due to their lies. Guess what the new movers are charging me for the same move with 26 foot truck and 3 guys? $1650, Abc123movers, LLC which I highly recommend. Once this company gets your furniture in their truck, they've got you. I didn't let them load my belongings and this is what they did in retaliation. If I could give minus stars, I would. Any further false reports to state authorities will be added to the criminal harassment and federal FMCSA complaints currently being filed against your company. This company is in massive violation of federal regulations. They have admitted to weaponizing the authorities in two separate states to harass a customer. I screenshotted the admissions by the owner of public proof of an interstate cyber-harassment campaign and malicious false reporting across state lines. I'm retired off the job. Come to find out, this company has a long history of hostile interactions, inflating quotes unexpectedly, and threatening customers. Using emergency services or animal control authorities as a weapon to harass, intimidate, or retaliate against someone elevates the severity of the offenses. After several horrendous experiences with College Hunks which was just a group of jerks and clowns.... (Yes, reviewed) and Bohrens(who were my "go-to's" and very professional under now retired Scott Cox who was right on top of every aspect) ...someone stepped forward and said go with Varsity...and I am very happy with the first chapter!! Rob got right back to me, scheduled an in-person estimate and arrived early...dressed professionally even though we had to do part of this in 90 degrees. Rob made sure I understood how things would go; best of all, gave me tips on preparing for my move and caring for things in storage in this heat and explained the estimate in detail... Rob is very warm in his manner and if people are going through my life and things ...as movers must do, it helps to feel that your move is important and the person in charge isn't just handing you a "take it or leave it" estimate... if you have moved before, you know this is special.
