I found no fault in the service I got from Teachers Moving Inc a few years ago. The managers were very responsive, and communicated well - something I appreciated during that difficult time in my life (I was moving half of the contents of a 4-bedroom, 2 story home by myself.) I had many concerns about the process and had difficulty finding a storage where I was moving; it was a cliffhanger - I was following the trucks to another state, not knowing if we would get storage space there. Storage companies would not accept reservations. But the Teachers movers took it all in stride and we were lucky to unload everything on the same day. They were very professional and organized. Nothing broken or lost. Detail: I could not find the key to my sewing machine cabinet because I forgot to remove it; Lo, and behold, it had been taped by the workers to the back side of the cabinet. It was an indication of how professional and mindful this company's workers are. Above all, their rates were very reasonable and allowed me to tip the men quite generously. I used teachers moving for my move last month and I'm just having a chance to do the review now. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the company from the estimator to the crew that did the actual work. I was moving on fairly short notice and contacted them just two weeks before I wanted to move. . I thought the estimate was a little high but I was assured that I would be charged by the hour and if it took less time I would pay less. That is exactly what happened. Nice to have an estimate that did not go over and I actually paid less than the original estimate . Everything was professionally wrapped before the move and everything arrived at the new location in exactly the same condition that it left. I would highly recommend this company. read more

Moved from Howell, NJ to a temporary rental in Toms River, NJ while waiting to close on our permanent home. When a small piece of trim on the floor snapped (which was not their fault, it was loose anyway), they repaired it on the spot with Gorilla Glue for me. Came in under estimate. I have been involved with movers in the past and this started out very professional . The only problem i have is, i wish a company would take RESPONSIBILITY for their actions. A couple of irreplaceable items were damaged and or broken . Their response was "it was my fault for not acquiring insurance from them". Not the answer you want to here when they did the damage. "Woohoo! As good as it gets" 5 star (YELP comment) is exactly what they are! Moving from one place to another is extremely stressful whether your doing it all on your own or with the help of others. I decided to search on "Google" for a moving company within the Ocean County area and definitely picked the right one. Before I gave them a call, I took a look at their website and read some of the reviews posted; I was then encouraged to give them a call. The owner Rick gave a fair/ reasonable estimate on the move and was very personable! A week later his crew came and got the job done. You get what you pay for. We had a move that required moving two breakable items. 2 flat screen TVs. Everything else was not fragile. The big TV was damaged and they sent me $100 for a $1500 TV. Said we are sorry. Don't use them. They did not follow directions on where stuff was to be put. We had to re-move a bunch of heavy bins which was the whole point in hiring them in the first place. read more

My husband and I recently had two experiences with Teachers Moving in Ocean, NJ. Part one was moving a moderate amount of furniture from our home to an indoor storage space, prior to selling our house. Part two involved moving the contents of a 4 bedroom home to a neighboring town, including a stop at the storage facility to pick up the items that had been delivered there one month earlier. Over the years, our family had previously used Teachers Moving twice for our daughter's moving to two houses in Monmouth County and those experiences were excellent. Because of that, it was no surprise that both of our recent moves were also exceptionally well done! We were so impressed with the three person crew who did part one of our move in mid-March that we requested all of them to be assigned to our "big move" at the end of April 2015. From the moment the six person crew arrived at 8:30 a.m. until they finished up before 2:30 p.m., everything went smoothly. The only very minor issue was that the mirror top of one of our cabinets was cracked in transit. We had purchased the insurance offered through Teachers Moving, which completely covered the cost of this repair. The Teachers Moving team picked up our mirror cabinet one week after we moved, took it to a local glass business and delivered it today, only six days after it was picked up to be repaired. The repair looks perfect! Again, the two Teachers Moving team members who made today's delivery were courteous, professional and efficient. Last but certainly not least, we couldn't believe how affordable Teachers Moving turned out to be. Because they charge an hourly rate, we only paid for the services we needed on each of the two days they were hired. This was thousands of dollars less than estimates from other companies. From the initial estimate visits (we had two separate visits due to significant downsizing that happened after our first estimate) to the delivery of our repaired cabinet today, the entire experience with Teachers Moving has been fantastic. I found this moving company on line and was very pleased. The movers were very careful with everything. I have a 75 yr old china cabinet and they made sure they didn't drop it or scrape the bottom of the furniture so the antique claw feet didn't break off . They put paper padding on everything all furniture pieces and Saran wrapped the couch , every little corner so it stays protected and won't get stained or musty smelling from being in a storage unit . Three movers helped me out . Mark the foreman was very polite and they worked carefully and meticulously. I would recommend using this company. I did receive an in home estimate to look at all of the items I wanted to move . I found them here from yelp . They labeled the boxes and put all items in a storage unit . Tge best part was they were able to dismantle an entertainment center and my bed frames and package everything up nicely . read more

These guys were amazing!!! I had been through the closing from you know were, and Rick was able to schedule me in very last minute. They showed up a little early to the move which was GREAT. Every mover I have used in the past has shown up late. They wrapped every piece of furniture and loaded carefully. They had everything out of my house, and into a third floor walked up (keep in mind it's only a studio/one bedroom) in a tight ocean grove condo building within three hours. The furniture was antique and heavy, and they still made it work. Never once did they complain or have any type of attitude. They had smiles the whole time, made polite conversation and helped me to set up my unit as the pieces were coming in. I will use them again in the future if I need to move. Thanks All. read more
