They told me that if I moved to a new unit, the rent would not increase for 6 months, so I paid men a hefty sum to move my things to another unit to get the intro rate again. But after just 3 months my rent increased again by about 50%! And there's nothing that can be done short of a lawsuit. And there have been class action lawsuits against them for this bait and switch practice.

When I arrived at the facility it was closed but I had no problem accessing my storage unit. It could not possibly have been any easier to load my items (backed the UHaul right up to a garage, loaded everything onto the provided carts, fit all of my belongings in the elevator in one trip, and easily loaded into the storage room). This place is great! My only concern is that renters can access the facility after hours, so the security of my belongings is dependent on trusting the other renters. If someone else comes in after hours and doesn't properly lock up (doesn't lock the garage, for instance), the security of everyone's belongings is compromised. I wish there was a way to address this because it is a bit concerning (perhaps auto-locking garages that close and lock after a set amount of time?). Aside from that, everything was great! Highly recommended!

I have been paying for a temperature-controlled unit for 2 years, and upon inspecting my beloved furniture, there was mold and water damage on a table and rugs. When Barbara looked at the unit, she said that she could not find where the water could have possibly come from (and even had the gaul to ask if the furniture was from a house destroyed from Hurricane Sandy!). She stated that the unit is kept at a temperature of 80 degrees F (which seems high), but what is the humidity level? She did not tell me. Then, when I asked for a written statement from her regarding the water damage, she said that there was no burst pipe or leakage...never stating where the water DID come from. This company is throwing their hands up and are very unhelpful to me. After being with them for about 5 years, I'm shocked that I'm not being helped at all. I can't wait to get my stuff out of there. SEPT. 2013 REVIEW: I have heard of horror stories when it comes to storage units, but I must admit: this place is beyond my expectations. Why? Because of the service by Manager Barbara. She is kind, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and all around lovely. She always responds to emails quickly and is there to help. The only reason why I gave this place 4/5 stars is because although I have a temperature controlled unit, some of my wooden furniture items have mold on them after 3 years. Zip to Zip Moving DO…read moreNOT USE THIS COMPANY! Here are the FACTS of my experience. 1. They were scheduled to arrive between 8:00am to 9:00am and arrived at 10:45am. 2. Upon arriving at my new location, one backed up the truck while the other two didn't bother spotting him - the driver backed into my brick pillar breaking bricks and the light. They literally brought out some sort of epoxy and said they could fix it! I called the police who wrote up a crash report. I accepted the company's offer to take money off the cost of the move because I had no confidence that their insurance company would promptly pay - I feared I wouldn't end up with anything but a lot more frustration. 3. At the end of the move, I realized they had forgotten to move an elliptical machine that was in the basement - when I brought it to their attention, they said nothing and just left. 4. At my old house they left the garage doors open and lights on - my wife didn't want to have to drive back to the house but was worried they might have done something like this - totally irresponsible! 5. Without asking my permission, they borrowed my hand dolly. After they left, I found it in the backyard with a wheel broken off. (I sent the company a picture of it.) This is absolutely not acceptable. 6. They left packing material all over the house - when I asked about them taking it with them they said that isn't something they do. 7. They did not remove their shoes or put on "booties" even though it was raining out and caused significant scuff marks on my hard wood floor - which I also took a picture of. On June 23rd, I wrote an email to the customer service agent and a manager with whom I had been speaking. No reply. I followed-up with another email on June 24th and received a phone call saying that they would address my issues by the following day. It has now been over a month and I still have heard nothing. All of this is beyond outrageous! As a small business owner, I completely understand when "stuff happens" but when it does you do everything you can to "make it right" - not ignore the customer! Do not use this company!!!
