DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! We used this company a little over 2 years ago to move from New Jersey to South Florida and we were NOT happy. Not only because right AFTER we signed the contract, our contact person and the owner of the company, ALEX, became very rude and aggressive, but also because although we had a deadline by which we needed our furniture and boxes to be delivered, he was a week late. No sorry, no explanation, no trying to work things out and maybe refunding some of the money for not complying with his own contract. NOTHING. Just "do you want your stuff or NOT?" Well, that was our experience. Fast forward to this year when our elderly parents decided to move to South Florida from New Jersey as well. Against our advice NOT to use this guy, they decided to go with him anyway. Well, they are sorry now. Oh, and by the way, these people are an elderly in their 70s. Well, they were completely ripped off and this is putting it nicely. Alex was the only person that they dealt with the entire time. They needed to pack their house first (due to the fact that they sold it very quickly) and then move to South Florida a couple of months later. Alex and his guys detached and pulled the furniture apart. And the family helped packed the boxes and some of the valuables. One of those valuables was a large antique Italian mirror valued at over $2,000, a prized possession of this family. They pleaded with Alex to pack it adequately to make sure that it does not get damaged during the move. The family members packed it as much as they could themselves, wrapping it in plastic and blankets, and then asked Alex to put it in the box to which he replied: "don't tell me how to pack and move stuff. I do this for a living." Well, that mirror arrived completely broken. Alex would not return calls or address this situation in any way. Why would he, right? He made sure he got paid before the furniture was even taken off the truck and unpacked. And then, he disappeared and would not answer calls. AT ALL! During the packing of the furniture, Alex told the couple that they needed to give him a deposit of $400.00 for the "old and dirty" large blankets that were used to wrap some of the big pieces. However, upon delivery of the furniture, he was supposed to take the blankets back and return the $400.00 deposit. He failed to do that, claiming that the deposit was only refundable during 30 days. That was a lie. He never told the couple that there was a 30 day limit and he knew very well that the couple had to pack up their house and put everything in storage in New Jersey and then move to Florida a couple of months later. Again, the ripped them off an extra $400.00 for the ugly and disgusting blankets that he uses during his moves when it is his job to use these things to pack people's valuables in the first place. Also, upon arrival of the furniture at the designated address in South Florida, the movers that delivered the furniture DID NOT know how to put it back together because they were not the same movers that pulled the furniture apart during the packing. So, the couple ended up paying extra money to some local guys who were able to put the furniture together. Alex, once again, was nowhere to be found. He wouldn't answer calls or respond to voicemail that the couple left over and over again. Finally, when the furniture and the boxes were actually moved, not everything was delivered. Alex left back approximately 20 boxes, claiming that there was no more space on the truck for those boxes. Well, since he made the couple PAY THE REST OF THE MONEY when the truck arrived in South Florida - the movers basically told them either you pay now and we deliver it OR you won't get your stuff - he failed to deliver the rest of the 20 boxes COMPLETELY. The couple, in fear of using another scamming moving company, decided to ship those boxes via UPS, paying an extra $1,000 on top of what they already paid US Power Moving. Alex and his moving company completely ripped off this elderly couple during their move. They paid over $6,000 all together and ended up with damaged valuables and horrible moving experience. If I can put no star I will. This guy Alex is the worst . He quoted me a price and I asked him to come and review the move but he insisted that he know his work and his price is good. When half of the furniture are on the truck . He stops by and duble the price. I had no chose except to pay as I sold my house and need to move. Used their storage and after a month come the time to move from storage to the new house . Again I have a quote and this guy Alex insisted on having the money cash . Again I got the money that he quoted me in cash . Again he claim people start early and now the $800 move became $1100. Then he demanded payment before unloading the TV's . I said ok . This is $800 cash and the $300 is a check. He refused and did not want to unload my TV's I had to call the police to fix him up. He is Bad . Be curful. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. The owner Alex is rude, unprofessional and completely abnoxious. His "quote" was nearly double at the end of the day and when it was questioned, he went off a verbally abusive tyraide, yelling and screaming at my family and refusing to even let us speak as he proceeded to yell and I mean at the top of his lungs. Be Aware of Alex.. this guy disppointed me...very bad experience... this is his number 646-662-8200...usapowermoving@gmail.com.. he just charged me $300 more giving the reason of more hours, eventhough its completed in discussed hrs.. he moved very fast and safe, but be clear with this guy before commit any thing... he is a great actor also.. Do not use these movers! I contacted Best Movers NJ to get an estimate to move my belongings from my apartment in NJ to my new house. I spoke to Stacey on the phone to get information about availability and pricing. Stacey sent me an email with a rough estimate, which says, "The price will be based on the hourly rate of $115/hour including 3 professional movers and truck. If your move takes 7 hours then the moving cost is $805 for labor. Please keep in mind that if your move takes less or more time, then your moving price will be adjusted accordingly. The minimum job is 5 hours for labor." She also asked me if I would need my belongings packed for a cost of $150 in packing materials, and I said no because I already had my things in boxes. She said that blankets around my furniture are included in the price. I told Stacey over the phone that I have a small apartment, and it should probably only take 4-5 hours to move everything. She then explained again that I only have to pay for the hours that they are there, and the email estimate is not the accurate amount since we would only know the actual time frame the day of the move. I called Stacey back and asked her if travel time is included in the price, and she said yes. I agreed to the terms we discussed over the phone and then sent her a $150 deposit through Paypal. On the day of the move, the movers arrived at 9:00am and had me sign an incomplete invoice (without any pricing, amounts, etc.) that just said the time they arrived. They started loading up the truck with my belongings, and then they started wrapping blankets with tape and saran wrap around my dressers so the drawers wouldn't open while they moved them. They never asked about using these materials or mentioned any costs. I assumed that was part of the included blanket price Stacey mentioned. They were able to get everything in the truck within 2.5 hours. When we arrived, before they started unloading the truck, the mover approached me with a completed invoice that had my signature, but he added all the costs only after I signed it, which wasn't the price I had agreed to over the phone with Stacey. The invoice had six hours (even though it only ended up only taking 5 hours to pack, travel, and unpack) and they added $115 for travel time and $150 for packing materials, which I never approved or knew would be charged for. Stacey made it seem as though the $150 would be if they packed my things in boxes. They wanted a total of $955 (minus the $150 deposit I had already made). By this time, it was only 12:15, and his coworkers started moving our belongings in the house. My husband and I began to dispute these charges, explaining that they don't know yet if it will take 6 hours, considering it only took 3 hours to load the truck and travel. We also were disputing the travel and packing materials because we never authorized that and were under the impression that they were included in the price of $115/hour. They offered to reduce the price by $50, but we felt like we were being taken advantage of, and said that we shouldn't be charged for hours that haven't been completed or materials we didn't approve of. They then closed the truck, and stopped moving the things inside. They called their boss ALEX, and my husband spoke to him. He refused to listen to our side, becoming hostile and then saying he would charge us an additional hour. Out of principle and concerned that our belongings were being held hostage in the truck, we decided to contact the local police. They arrived and listened to both sides, but explained that they had no authority for this matter, so we would need to pay the amount and then later take the matter to small claims court and/or file with the Better Business Bureau. After the time spent with the police, an hour was wasted. The movers then started moving the rest of our things into the house and finished at 3:00. If deducting the hour lost with the police, the entire move, including travel, loading, and unloading, only took 5 hours. We ended up paying $755 (because they only deducted $50) plus the $150 Paypal deposit. In reality, we should have only paid a total of $575. read more

This is by far the worst moving company and possibly company we have ever encountered. They are COMPLETELY unprofessional! They seem so nice until the day you are moving at which time the owner will be so rude you will immediately regret hiring this company. They were incredibly late to begin the moving process which they were aware we had only one day to complete. When we asked if it was going to still get done that day we were told to let them do the job and to go away. Of course the job wasn't completed that day and they could care less. In the process things were damaged, boxes were lost and/or stolen. The owner of this company robbed us blind and if you would like to get your belongings from point A to B without any problems this is NOT the company to go with. Please read these reviews(this is not the first) and make sure to consider these things prior to choosing a company. Beware do lot hire these people. You will be made believe you I'll lay a flat fee and then they will charge you double. This moving company deserves a 0 star too bad you don't have a choice but to give them a one star. I dealt with Alex over the phone and email. I needed him to move My furniture from a storage facility unit into my home. I gave him the size of the units and sent him a list of the inventory. He quoted me $946 including travel time. When we spoke over the phone he said please email me everything in writing which I did including the 3 Profesional movers at $115 an hour. He gave me an hour window to begin from 9-10am I text him the morning of the move at 8:25am and asked him to please let me know what time the movers would be at storage facility was it going to be 9 or 10am ? I asked him to please let me know ahead of time so that I can be there to open the units for them. He never responded to my text and at 9am i received a text from Kam that he was at the storage facility. I then headed to the storage facility. When I arrived their were 4 movers not 3 which now meant I had to lay $135 an hour instead of $115. Their starting time was 9:40am and Kam said I would have to pay from 9am on. since that's the time they arrived at location. I explained to him that Alex had given me a window instead of an exact time of arrival. Here's the big problem, I was quoted $ 946 and ended up paying $2,077 since the four movers took 14 hours!!!! to move the furniture a job that should have only taken 6-7 hours took them double the time. Keep in mind I had movers move me into this unit for only half the price and the time these movers took to move the furniture out. Please pay attention Alex gave me a quote of $946 I ended up paying $2,077!!!! I was very nice to them I bought them lunch a few hours after they had begun. I also got them water, and soda 3 times. They also would move certain furniture pieces if I didn't agree to having them wrap it which was very very expensive. For example I had a console table with a marble top they wanted to charge me $100 just to wrapt it up with boxes and tape. And a few other glass items mirrors and cabinets. The movers started at 9:40am and they weren't done until 11:10pm. They also had to make two trips because they didn't pack the trunk the right way and of course make a second trip so they would be paid for more hours. So they asked to be paid for the first trip ahead of time and then pay for the second one separately before they were even done unloading. When Mak Asked me to pay him for the second trip I asked him to please move the rest of the things down into the basement he agree to do so and said sure sure no problem we will do it. After I finish paying him in full he came back inside sorry my guys don't want to move any more furniture and left. These people are dishonest after your money.
