The wonderful crew at Big G just helped my son move to Metuchen and they were flawless! Steve led the team with professionalism and courtesy. They were fast and paid attention to every detail. Highly recommend! read more

I can't rave enough about the team at Big G. My crew of Steve, Marco, Bruce, Eric, Paul, Dennis, Walter and Big G Gary himself were amazing on my move. From the estimation, to days leading up and throughout the day of, the whole team was communicative, quick, responsive, and driven. From start to finish during the day the team never stopped moving, took initiative, helped me beyond my expectations and did it all on time and on quote. Everyone was friendly, funny, and supportive. Moving my family from a town I've called home for 38 years in a home my kids became adults is emotionally difficult but BigG made the day a breeze. Thank you! read more

Gary and his team were 5-star. Gary was quick to reply to my Yelp message for a quote, were fair on price, and their team showed up on time and were very efficient, polite, and helpful throughout the move. We used Big G to move out of our 3 bed 2 bath into a comparable sized place, but with 4 floors worth of stairs combined. We would use them again! read more

I would absolutely recommend using Big G movers! They made our move extremely easy. Fair pricing, professional, and really efficient. We had Eddie's team for our move and they made sure everything got moved quickly and without damage. Such a pleasant experience and I've already recommend them to a handful of people who have already used them for their moves and had the same experience. Go with this trusted business! Reviews do matter and it's obvious from here that this is how they operate for everyone. Thanks big g movers! read more

Big G Movers - Big g movers made our move into our first house so easy! - Movers Near Me - Metuchen, New Jersey

After requesting quotes from multiple moving companies on Yelp, Big G Movers was the most responsive, quick, and price efficient. My husband reached out to them on a Monday in regards to moving a large couch about 2 miles down the road. By Wednesday, the couches were moved - about 40 mins and the job was complete! I appreciated that they didn't have a 3 hour minimum like other companies, making their price point SO reasonable for a small job like ours. The movers were quick and professional, and we'd certainly use them again in the future! read more

first things first... Before I commit to any business, I always search out their reviews and I especially look for the bad ones. So when I decided to check out big G movers, I noticed that he had plenty of great reviews and anything that I noticed that wasn't good. I could tell that the person that left a review did not know what they were talking about. This man and his crew came to my house and helped me pack and move everything to my new location. When I tell you that they did not break a single thing, I mean they did not break a single thing. I could not believe the perfection, the Due care and the respect that they had for every one of my belongings. They got the job done perfectly and they were pretty fast. So if you need anything moved, please check out big G movers. I guarantee you you will leave a better review than I did. Thank you Big G for everything. read more

Wow, was very nervous about moving our personal items & furniture, but Big G movers are the best. They were recommend by a friend that has used them and were trilled with there service and I must agree. Fair pricing, Came on time, handled everything with total care. Sent these 4 gentleman Tank, Poehah, Tyler & Matt (Joker). These guys were the best of the best. Took there time, wrapped everything up, cover all opening & floors. Great job, can,t say enough about the company & guys. Thank you big G movers read more

This is the third time i have used Big G Movers. They were originally referred to me by my Realtor when i sold my house. They have been very professional from day one. They went above and beyond to accommodate me on three different times. The staff are all hard working, and very professional, and get the job done. I would not refer any other moving company. read more

After 3 unsuccessful attempts by myself and my husband to move a large couch out of our attic we decided to contact Big G Movers. I emailed them after 8pm and received a text response 8 MINUTES LATER! I was blown away by their responsiveness. They had availability to come out quickly the next afternoon. Gary kept me informed the next day of the crews ETA and they came right when they said they would. Tank and Tyler were amazing. They quickly wrapped up our couch and after some mover's sorcery they seamlessly got the couch through our tight attic doorway. My husband and I watched in awe at their ability! Both men were very professional and so quick with the job. I would HIGHLY recommend Big G movers to anyone for their next move. They are great! read more

No need to look any place else .. Big G movers are where to go when it comes to moving. We moved From a second floor apartment on a hill to a four bedroom home and the team didn't flinch and always had smiles on their faces! When they arrived at the new home one of the movers lovingly insisted I stopped helping bc I am 9months pregnant and joked with me about how hard it must be to not be able to really help. They were great with my almost five year old who of course was obsessed with the truck and just the new faces and all of our family there complimented on their professionalism. It was one of the best decisions we made outside of the new Purchased home when it came To transitioning. read more

I had Big G do Part 1 of my two-part move. Steve, the foreman, and his team arrived on time, on a Sunday and at a later hour that I could live with. I didn't want to to exceed the three-hour minimum, and they worked to keep it within that time. They were friendly, careful, and did a great job. They didn't need to use their truck, since we were moving just across the driveway, which is why it was so short. A small piece of mica came off a piece of furniture, but they let me know about it and told me that it can be easily glued back on, so it wasn't a big deal. I was very pleased with their service, and will use them again when I'm ready for Part 2. read more

I first contacted Gary from Big G Movers back in March 2019. I was planning my house contents move from Union to Metuchen but since I just listed, it was too soon to book an exact date for the final move. Gary reassured me that they would be able to handle all of the items I needed moved, and when I called back in mid May, he remembered me! He told me June is a very busy month, but he did accommodate me and I was all moved 1 week before the closing date. The crew of 4 men he sent were great! They arrived on time and were very professional and friendly. I had 2 major concerns - my China closet and a very heavy piece of furniture. I am happy to report that all survived the move without damage! The packup in Union took about 2.25 hrs and the entire process took 3.75 hrs (which was 45 min beyond the 3 hr quote I received when I booked). I would definitely recommend Big G Movers and would definitely use their services again in the future. Thanks guys for a job well done! read more

Big G Movers - Big G Movers truck on moving day (6/6/19)! - Movers Near Me - Metuchen, New Jersey

I recently hired Big G Movers (3 guys & 26' truck) to move from a 2 bedroom apt in North Bergen to a 4 bed townhouse in Marlboro. Was quoted a rate for 6 hours, with every additional half hour at $98. Overall job took 8+ hours. At start of the movie, Steve estimated that loading the truck would take about 2 hours... turned out to be more like 4.5 at the least; hallway was apparently too long. Of the 3 guys, Manny was a thorough professional - ensured all electronics, glasses, paintings, etc. were padded correctly prior to being saran wrapped. He did most of the heavy lifting, with Steve packing and limited to non-heavy items. Eddie stayed loading the truck from what Manny and Steve dropped off at the elevator. Understanding that I was over the 6 hour estimate and paying an additional rate, Manny and Eddie were understanding and quickly unloaded everything at the townhouse. Hardly took any breaks to wrap up unloading in under 2 hours! Would like to specially call out Manny - was an absolute beast in packing, loading and unloading. Was very courteous, professional and a quick mover. For you guys hiring movers, I'll recommend being very, very explicit on the items, logistics of your move to ensure your quote is completely and well understood. Traci and Gary are very good at detailing instructions and are very communicative, so the better you provide details and negotiate prior to the move, the better handle you'll have on how much it will cost you. Overall, I will definitely hire these guys again. read more

Used this company for my moms move from A home to an apartment and would recommend. There was a custom bedroom set that requires disassembly to move it and then re-assembly in the new place which was a 2 man job with heavy pieces of furniture. This definitely took some more time to do this but was appreciative they offered the service. The 3 man team assigned was efficient and careful in the move process and even Gary the owner stopped by to see the progress. They came with a very big truck and we had a lot of boxes. They did a good job but it was a full days work and we went over the fixed price for the 4 hour minimum - the entire process went from 10am to 5pm (if we didn't jump in to help it would have been another 2-3 hours). Gary was very responsive over text to schedule it all and only reason I am giving 4 stars not 5 is that I would have preferred to pay one price for the whole service vs 30min increments after the first 4 hours but I understand that is their business model. read more

This was my second time working with Big G movers and once again, they were great!!! Thank you TANK, TYLER, POODAH AND DENNIS! They were so courteous, professional and accommodating! Also, very patient with my dog who was pretty stressed out during the process. Would definitely use again and again and highly recommend! read more

I'm not happy. I will never hire a mover charging per hour. They were slow and have a lot of prepared answers to every question. Whenever I say " Why don't you ...." the answer was always "We're doing it for years and....". They don't know how to assemble an IKAE loft bed. They disassembled my son's IKEA bed without a power screwdriver. One guy was trying to figure out how to assemblable the bed he dissembled one hour ago. The other two were just waiting. I asked them to left it disassembled. I didn't want to pay for another hour to assemble the bed. Gray cut off 20 minutes but I believe I paid $200 more. The good thing is, nothing was harmed. read more

Trust the reviews! After seeing this company on every site with unanimous positive reviews, I made the decision to hire them and I'm glad I did. I called on a Tuesday and was moved the following Saturday. Traci was so friendly to deal with and she was able to pencil me in quickly during a busy moving season. The movers were professional and fantastic and there were no issues whatsoever. Big G Movers was worth every penny. Don't stress on your next move - give them a call! read more

Incredible experience from beginning to end! We were having our hardwood floors redone & called Big G to move our furniture (we have 2 very large heavy pieces). Gary gave us quote, it seemed reasonable & he was very accommodating with dates. He checked the night before to confirm date & give us an approximate time & said I would get a 1/2 hour notice when they were on there way. Three guys came & moved everything seamlessly! We had scheduled Big G to come back to move the furniture back when floors were done - we had to reschedule several times because home improvements never go as smoothly as you hope:). Gary could not have have been anymore flexible! As the 1st time around same, 3 guys showed up & everything went smoothly! They couldn't have been nicer or more professional! One of the best customer experiences I've ever had! read more

The crew was great! They truly made the moving process extremely smooth and uneventful. Steve(lead crew member) is very knowledgeable of the process packing and moving. The boys (as Steve calls them)did everything without hesitation and always with a smile. They were so organized and systematic with the process. If you want peace of mind while going through the hectic process of moving these are the guys to get you through it. read more

Recommended these guys again today. Not the first time I recommend them that's for sure. But I realized I never wrote a review for them. Long overdue. Used then two years ago for a move and they were fast, professional, courteous, strong!, and I was just blown away. Super fast with the utmost care. There was even one piece , a couch, that wouldn't have fit in my apartment if it wasn't for them. The landlord was shocked it got in. They never gave up. Thank you again. Would definitely use them for my moving needs without a doubt. read more

Nobody likes to move and I had been dreading today. Not only had to move my entire home but my husband's business. Thousands of collectible comics and they didn't blink an eye. They made it painless. The crew, along with the owner Gary, were so warm and friendly. The never stopped once and there were young workers (six in all) who you would expect to be going out for a smoke or be on their phones. Never happened. They worked tirelessly. And moved hundreds of boxes all in one day. Gary was so easy to work with and always got back to me right away. Very professional and pleasant to deal with. He gave us a huge break on the cost as we went way over the estimated time. There were no surprises. Everything was in its place when they left. Furniture was put back together, and in some cases was in better shape when they were done with it. Very polite, worked hard to get me out of my dark mood. Special thanks to Tank (name says it all), who went out of his way to be nice. He helped me make the beds so I wouldn't have to lift the mattresses; who does that??? Steve was also super nice and all of the crew were polite and helpful. Highly recommend, I wouldn't use anybody else ever. Finally after many months, I got really lucky! read more

Excellent customer service and smooth moving experience with Big G movers! We recently used Big G to move in our one bedroom apartment. Three guys did it in under 4 hours (including one hour travel time because we have relatively long distance move). Again, great experience and highly recommended! read more

Super impressed with them - they fit our stuff into the truck like Tetris experts! We couldn't afford the bigger truck for our long distance move so I was resigned to leaving a bunch of furniture, but they fit it all!!! All the guys were very sweet and professional. Called the day before to confirm arrival time, and they did arrive right on time. They got it all done in the allotted time, too - everyone worked so hard. I'd give these guys a hug if I could, but for now I'll settle for this glowing review. read more

I find it very rude that they don't have the courtesy to simply call people back to say they are too busy. Instead they just ignore your calls. That is not the way to do business. I won't be recommending them to my clients in the future. read more

One word when it comes to Big G they are "fantastic". Two reasons why I will always use Big G. - I had a situation were I needed someone to help bring in heavy furnitures early Sunday and clock was ticking on the van I had rented. I randomly called various moving companies NO one had the time to come everyone told me they had other jobs booked EXCEPT Big G they came in early morning and made it happen for us. (Very reasonable $$) - After my first experience we picked Big G to do our moving for the new house and as expected Big G moving were fantastic, flawless and professional. (Without asking he gave us a discount) They have my and my family business forever!!!! Thanks Ash. read more

We've recently moved within the state of NJ and Big G Movers was our moving company of choice. Since the beginning, they were very attentive and professional. They provided all the information and documents (such as certificate of insurance) we needed. On the day of the move, they got to our building on time and performed the work within the time frame we arranged. There were no damages to our goods or the facilities in both buildings. There were no hidden fees and the final cost was in accordance to the original quote. I was happy to tip the team as the work went quite smoothly. I do recommend Big G Movers for your short-distance moving. read more

After I searched around for movers I found Big G on yelp and notice the raving reviews. I booked them solely based on the reviews. On moving day, the guys were on time and started off immediately. They were all professional, curteous and helpful, they explained everything that was going to happen in detail so I knew how they're going to be doing all the loading and unloading. They loaded the truck pretty efficiently and then unloaded at my new place quickly as well. No one deliberately dragged their feet or cut corners. They did a terrific job. The best of all was the cost, which was very reasonable and there were no hidden charges. I paid what I was quoted. That week and the week after had been extremely rough for me due to some family emergencies, Big G made this one task less stressful and I'm greatful for that. I would definitely hire them again for my next move. read more

I highly recommend Big G Movers service. I hired their service to transfer my equipment from my company to another location that I moved to in Philadelphia and they handled everything with extreme care. I highly recommend Big G Movers and will definitely use their service again whenever I am in the process of moving in the future. FIVE STARS!!!!! read more

Super easy to work with when scheduling, but gosh, we are so disappointed that we continue to find damaged items as we unpack over time. Two of the four guys who packed us were so friendly and nice, like cousins who came to help out rather than guys hired to do a job. One guy was distant, but nice, the last guy never had any interaction beyond the initial greeting. Gary did give us a partial refund, which made things better, but it definitely doesn't completely replace or fix everything that had damage. I didn't press for more because I got an impression that the interaction would end poorly if I did. Plus, we still cannot find one box with some fairly important items. Sorry, Big G Movers. read more

While we weren't able to make the move work this time, I would absolutely recommend Big G Movers simply due to how superb their customer service is. I am moving relatively last minute (due to some logistical stuff with apartments) and have spoken to so many companies today, most have been pretty dismissive due to the date I need. Traci at Big G was BY AND FAR the most pleasant person I spoke to the entire day. Not only did she work up a quote for me quickly, she took the time to explain why the prices were what they were and everything their pricing includes (which is pretty great by the way.) You can tell they truly care about their customers and prospective customers, and even me after I told Traci I was not going to be able to make the date work. She did not miss a beat and wished me the best of luck on my move anyway. The only reason I couldn't make it work with them this time was because I found someone that would do the move the date I wanted (Big G was booked - understandably.) I know it doesn't make much sense for me to leave a review when I didn't necessarily get the service they offered. But I can absolutely vouch for amazing and quick customer service from them - and I think that's probably the most important component to any company. I am hoping to use Big G for my next move into my hopefully forever home! read more

I had to do a complicated move in the fall. We were working with moving things from an apartments and a storage unit into a house. So to today was finally moving day. Big G's crew had moved us out of our house about five weeks ago into two storage units, and today we got moved out storage into our house. Both times the crew he sent was beyond stellar. A crew of nine guys showed up both times, and showed up exactly at the time that was given. These guys were nothing but professional and even when things needed to be moved around because I directed them to the wrong place, it was never a problem. I accidentally directed them to put a large piece of furniture on the second floor that belonged in the basement .." Not a problem sir" was the response I got when I had to break the news... These guys were kind courteous and made our moving experience actually pleasurable. They were very careful with all of our stuff and we made it through without any problems. I dealt directly with Big G, which was also a very easy thing to do. He was kind and helpful and made this process 100% stress-free. Big G and his movers now have a customer for life. read more

After getting such great reviews on yelp and other review websites, I decided to hire Big G Movers for my move, and I am so glad I did! Their quote was a bit higher than some of the other larger companies I contacted, but Gary was able to offer me a flat rate, and answered all my questions on the phone, so I decided to go with Big G. Big G is a reliable company. Each and every one of the half-dozen men who moved my possessions was personable and professional. They came the day after a February storm with shovels and salt. And man, did they come through! They arrived right on time, every guy on the crew introduced himself and shook our hands, and they got right to work. They were fast, friendly, and above all, careful. I used Big G last year for my move and I'm glad they are the ones I chose. Did my due diligence shopping around, but when you meet the man himself, you know his honesty and straight forward approach is exactly what you need in a hectic time of moving your whole life to a new house. The whole team went above and beyond for us. They didn't try to cut corners or make extra money on add ons from us like the other companies do behind your back.
