Highly recommend this company. The owner Avi went above and beyond for my move out of California to Texas. The movers were very professional. They wrap everything you own to ensure no damage to your personal property. They disassemble any furnishings you may have and re-assemble upon delivery. They keep in constant touch with you regarding your move - whether that be placing your belongings in their storage facility - or in a alternate storage place. And the cost was the best I found anywhere. I encourage anyone making a move out of state to secure First-Rate Moving and Storage for any and all of your moving needs! Thank you Avi - this move was 100 times easier with you! read more

I chose First-Rate Moving & Storage based on reviews & I am extremely pleased with the whole experience. I was able to o get a quick and good quote with Avi, and there was plenty of communication throughout the process to keep me up to date. The 2 movers who did the job were friendly & treated our stuff with great care. They moved us into a storage facility & did a great job loading everything in. The price was excellent and everything went really well. I would definitely recommend them! read more

I found this company through Google. Although I only went through the estimation process, CSABI's professionalism and efficiency truly live up to their name--FIRST-RATED. I called them, and CSABI asked me for some details about the move and provided professional advice. They then arranged a video estimate on the same day. During the video call, CSABI carefully reviewed all the items to be moved. Since we only had about half a room of belongings, all already packed, plus a few bicycles, CSABI calculated everything and gave me a very good quote. Because my husband's relocation plan has been postponed, we haven't used their services yet. However, based on our interactions so far, I can say that they are a trustworthy company. Will definately comeback to hire them! read more

I used to work with the company they are great fast and reliable Big shutout for Csabi and Avi have a blessed Christmas read more

I had my things moved into storage March of 2024. The movers to considerate, conscientious, on time and quick. Avi came out and gave estimate before move and everything went better than expected from beginning to end! I've done four cross country moves and this was by far the best! Go with First-Rate for moving, storage or both, you won't be disappointed. If I could give move stars I would. read more

We had First Rate pack up our belongings at our home in north jersey and store then for 3 months until we closed on our mid-jersey home. The mive out went very well, including an upright piano and a large sectional sofa.. All our belonging were carefully packed and secured, all closets in wordrobe crates, and an exceptional amount of protective packaging for delicate items., and withstood storage well. Our move in also went smoothly; and the crew was very careful to assure placement and move whatever we wanted several times. Can't say emough about Javier and his crew. Thanks First Rate!! read more

We moved yesterday and had an Amazing experience with First-Rate Moving! When I called and left a message - Csabi called me back immediately and scheduled to meet us the very next day. Csabi was so nice and explained everything perfectly. On Moving day we had 5 Fantastic Guys lead by Foreman Javier! They were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Our Furniture arrived in Perfect Condition! I would Highly recommend this company. read more

If you're looking to move a 3 bedroom apartment from New Jersey to Brooklyn these guys are the best. They are efficient and they offer good prices. Thanks! read more

If you're considering first rate moving company let me warn you now. DON'T!!! I moved the end of April and am still finding damage on my furniture. I have solid wood pieces that the crew would wrap in plastic and put tape all over the piece damaging my property. Also the crew was just placing boxes anywhere. It took me a few hours to realize that half the crew didn't speak English. When I would tell some of the crew where to place items they would nod and put boxes labeled as fragile or this end up upside down with heavy large boxes on top. It was a nightmare. If anyone doubts me I have pictures. This was my not my first time moving but it was definitely the worst and I blame FIRST TIME MOVING and STORAGE. read more

If you can. Do it yourself. How hard can it be to move 1 person from a small one bedroom apartment? Not only was my quote increased by over 1k but worst of all they lost (or stole) my valuable items like a guitar and antique table and somehow lost a box that had personal artifacts of my father who passed away. They're the kind of company that's looking for all kinds of way to make you pay more. Be careful when using them. read more

First-Rate Moving Company moved our household belongings into a shipping container for a transcontinental move, and we were more than pleased with their hard work. They were fast, efficient, and did the safest packing we could have hoped for. Their reliable efforts allowed us to worry about the other details of our move and leave the packing to their professional team. Their services were totally worth their reasonable rate. read more

This is a SCAM! A very high-pressure guy calls and gives you an extremely low rate to move. He lies and tells you this company is used by the government for military moves -LIE Tells you they have an A+ Better Business Bureau rating -LIE Fast-talks you into paying something up-front -SCAM DO NOT, under any circumstances, fall for this SCAM!!!! read more

These guys are amazing! Csabi was very friendly and kind to organize, schedule and answer all of our questions. Our movers they were FANTASTIC! They were very hard working and were very efficient moving all our large items and appliances and helping us consolidate and pack our smaller items we didn't pack ourselves. We appreciated that they padded our staircase and covered our floors when we're moving into our new place. The service is excellent and at a great price! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

I was getting many quotes for our move. Estimator came to our home to to take a look. It wasn't the cheapest, but we know what to expect. They provided an excellent service, nice guys. read more

READ, and Read Carefully! I moved from New Jersey to Northwest Arkansas! An Enormous move. I did a mass search and was contacted by more moving companies than you can imagine! Csabi was the first one to call me and I immediately had a peace and he was extremely professional. He said that they, as a company come to your home to view what you have so they can quote properly! Avi Shaer came to our home, we had a great connection with him and he took his time answering our questions and really reviewed what we had. I STRESSED more often than not that our furniture is Heavy, Important to us and will it be handled with care! And it was! I boxed all my own things accept the furniture which they wrapped. They moved my things from a 3 story townhouse to a one level home (which they were happy about!) I obtained 2 other quotes and had numerous calls and I decided on First Rate! I refused to utilize a 3rd party carrier! Beware of them! Avi, Csabi and team completed the work professionally, efficiently, kindly and with great care! We rented the entire truck, with unlimited boxes and we paid exactly what we were quoted! NO company could touch them, in my opinion! Thank you, Avi, Csabi and moving Team! Neil & Kim C read more

DO NOT MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY. Please, please listen to me. Do not do it. You will speak to a nice salesman who makes it sound affordable and seems trustworthy, but then end up being charged the same price as a white glove service for what is the most unreliable, low rent, manipulative and bare bones service. Someone is making so much money out of this absolute scam. I will spare you the details of the ongoing disasters and extra fees but in short we were ultimately charged over $10,000 for a very small move and they didn't even end up showing up at the destination - we had to rent uhauls finish the move ourselves. read more

This company is so unprofessional! They gave me a binding quote that's not supposed to increase. The guy took a glance at what I have and left. No offer to adjust the price! To top it off, they're trying to keep my deposit stating I signed a contract! They are the ones that made the decision to leave and not initiate the job. That made the contract null and void. RUN. DO Not use this company. read more

This company is awesome!! From the time I called them, they were very helpful, professional and friendly. The great service continued when the crew arrived at my house. Just received my delivery and very satisfied. read more

This was my first out-of-state move from California to Houston, and getting First-Rate Moving & Storage to help with the move was the best choice I made. They are professional, reliable, and trustworthy to work with. Their price is very reasonable compared to other moving companies. The team of movers were very quick, and efficient. I was impressed with how careful the movers were with all my household items including non-fragile items! Thank you! I will definitely use this moving company again without hesitation!!! read more

Moved with First-Rate Moving from CA to TX and had a great experience. They were very knowledgeable and handled my belongings with care. All my questions and concerns were answered in a promptly time, making me feel worry-free. I received my household belongings damage free and couldn't ask for more. Thank you First-Rate Moving! read more

Fine movers on the pickup end. They were very slow, but nice guys - I wasn't in any particular rush, so it didn't matter. As someone else mentioned, they jacked up the price $250 on pickup. Absolutely abysmal on the drop off end. The mover literally threw boxes labeled fragile and threw my chair, breaking the leg. Also, my belongings now smell like smoke. read more

I used First-Rate Moving and had a great experience. I called a few companies for a price and they were very competitive. When the moving day arrived, I couldn't ask for a more professional service than what I received. They were on time, communicative, professional and best of all no damages. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move locally or out of state. Keep it up First-Rate! read more

I wish i could give these guys less than 1 star. unbelievable. I paid over $5k to move states with only about 1 bedroom and an office worth of stuff. they told me it would be here by the 5th of September, which was perfect because i moved on September 1st. September 5th comes around, I'm in an empty house in a new state. NOT ONE WORD from them. AT ALL. about a week goes by i finally get ahold of them, they tell me it will be no later than Monday, September 12. Monday comes around, NOT ONE WORD. finally hear from them, after calling about 10 times, and they say the "truck had problems" so the new new date is the morning of September 14th (today) Driver texted me at 9:30 AM saying "1:30PM", which was fine with me. you can probably guess what happens next. 1:30 comes around, NOT ONE WORD. called the company 10 times, the driver about 8 times, NOTHING. it is now 3:30 and i finally got ahold of them. Driver is over an hour away ON ANOTHER JOB. so now i got to wait around for the entire day wondering exactly when they will get here. 2 weeks in an empty house because of this awful company. save the money, move it all yourself. you will do 500x better than job than these "professionals" what a joke read more

Stay away from them. I reserved them for a move and put thousands of dollars down. I got cancer so they extended my date by one year from the date that I called them to let them know that I had cancer and was unable to move due to chemo and radiation. Well we got close to that time so we went to schedule it just to move the furniture to the east coast and they told me, "Oh no, that was one year from you original contract date." That is not at all what was said to me on the phone!!!!! It was suggested I get an attorney and file a claim against them as I am working on now because we got nothing and they got around $5k from us with doing nothing at all. That is what you call a major rip off. They never heard the rest of it as they were in to much of a hurry to dump me off the phone. BUYER BE WARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have dealt with many movers over the years , with horrible results. Misplaced items, damage, lost items, but not this time. First Rate movers were a pleasure to deal with. Professional, polite, and timely. Everything went perfectly, nice guys who worked hard. I highly recommend them. Hopefully, this is my last move, but I would use this company again in a heartbeat! My gratitude to staff and management. read more

Doesn't call you back, very rude employees, not accommodating with delivery schedule.... And what kind of company only takes cash and does not give you a receipt ?!?!?!? read more

This moving company is terrible, do not book with them. They care only about getting the maximum amount of money out of you only, they do not care about your belongings. They jacked up my price $600 upon pickup and once again upon drop-off. You will be nickled and dimed for things completely out of your control like if they have to walk further than 75 feet, or god forbid you live on the second floor and they have to use stairs or an elevator. Because guess what? You're footing the bill for that. They were going to potentially have to move my items into a smaller truck to fit into my complex, which I was going to have to pay for. How is it the customer's fault that a certain truck size won't fit into the complex they live in? Why is that cost passed down to the customer? Completely unprofessional crews on both ends of my move, especially on drop-off. They were touching my belongings in my kitchen, and one guy called me a week later asking if he left his watch at my place. Why are you calling your customers about your watch? Completely unprofessional and creepy that they shared my information with their employees like that. Just so thoroughly unprofessional across the board. A number of my items arrived damaged, and they lost items. I was appalled at the condition of the boxes and my items upon drop-off. I've done a cross country move before and I know you have to expect some items getting damaged, but this was absolutely abysmal compared to the other move I did. Unprofessional, fraudulent, scam of a company. Do not use them. read more

One star is too good for this despicable moving company. It has been a nightmare!!! They talk like they are good but it is all a lie. I lost momentos, jewelry, clothes, furniture. I had many broken items that can never be replaced. The movers literally just threw the boxes in the garage. They were suppose to set up the beds for us but they didn't. I contacted the owner and he told me to open a claim. What a joke!!! I did open a claim with CSI. I received one phone call where the gentleman told me he would call me back the next day. I am still waiting. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! I am now contacting the BBB. read more

Hands down the best moving experience I've had . The crew were all professional , kind and patient when answering all of my questions . I could tell by the way that they handled my items they were highly experienced as well . All I can say is that they made the move easy and stress free and handled my items with care from start to finish . I will most definitely use this company again for future moves . read more

I feel like I didn't need first grade movers brokers at all they did next to nothing and collected $900 they gave me wrong information on the first phone call they acted like they were concerned about me and my move and called me a few days before the move only to try to pressure me to buy more space in the truck they did that twice and the second time they got kind of nasty about it and he said we're reserving more space for you because you're going to need it they also tried to convince me I wouldn't be able to take everything and would have to leave things behind when the movers got there they were great they are not from first rate movers the truck was not labeled so I don't know where they were from but they were efficient and a short time had everything on the truck and assured me everything would fit when they looked at it in fact more would have fit then I had they retake the bins to make sure that they would not come open during the move and the guys that unloaded the truck at the other end of my destination were also very efficient and did the job wonderfully however I did not know that my things would be moved from the original truck to another truck moving company wonderful brokers do without if you can read more

THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY CROOKS who are also liars. They quoted a low rate up front and two days before the move the price more than doubled. they said we had 30% more stuff and that translated into double the original cost. When we questioned the significant increase in charges the guy said we could find another company or get rid of some stuff so we would be moving the amount that was originally quoted. They promised a crew of 3 but only 2 showed up to load and the head mover was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and condescending. 10 days later, the stuff was delivered. It had been sitting in a warehouse for several days and arrived on a different truck. There was only one person on the delivery truck to unload everything and he was given the wrong address for delivery , so the driver was late. This poor man had to unload everything by himself. Not only do they treat their customers poorly but they also treat their drivers like garbage. There is nothing good I can say about this company or our experience and I would encourage you to STEER CLEAR unless you are up for getting totally ripped off. read more

only one person speak English and when they say fragile, they just stuck it in your way. they put heavy boxes on top of light boxes ending up crushing the boxes they don't take care of your stuff and they end up with a bunch of holes in them. my mom made a review on them to where this guy by the name of Avi called us and threatening us that he's going to take legal action on a one-star rating. I mean these people if they want to run in respectable business then they need to treat the customer and their stuff with care and they did not seem to be wanting to do this so we give them one star. so yeah I do not recommend this company to anyone not how we were treated. read more
