Every time I come to the outlets, I always pass by Tea Heart (a wood shack building) and I always decide to skip it because of all the negative reviews on Yelp. This time I noticed it opened another spot where i-Tea originally was and I decided to try it for myself especially since they had a pretty long line so I was thinking how bad could it be? It's a small store, just enough room a few people to stand inside to order/wait. Their menu looks pretty extensive but I opted for my usual green milk tea and my friend ordered one of the honey drinks and popcorn chicken. Their drinks/snacks are on the pricer side but I guess you can expect that at a mall. There was a sign saying something along the lines of having to wait longer if you ordered food so we expected to wait. Maybe about 5 minutes later, my friend received both her drink and popcorn chicken but my drink was nowhere to be found, I waited patiently as they started to call out numbers that were ordered after me and another 5 minutes passed before my drink was brought out. The popcorn chicken came in a small plastic container with a small amount of chicken for the price of $5.95. Honestly, it looked like a round fried ball and it didn't look appealing, after tasting one, it just tasted like a mini fried chicken nugget and was sort of bland. I was excited to try my drink but after one sip, I was disappointed that I wasted 5 bucks on a drink that I ended up drinking maybe 25% of and tossing it at the next garbage can. My green milk tea (75% sweet) tasted bland and wasn't even slightly sweet while the boba just sort of melted in my mouth (it was pretty disgusting). My friends who shared their drink, who aren't as picky as I am when it comes to boba tea ended up tossing their drink also because their tea was also bland and didn't taste good. read more

We came here for a few weekends in the morning since that's really the only time you can go to this outlet and not wait around for parking. The first time we had this problem it was a Saturday in the early afternoon and we had to wait 15 minutes for boba. That was fine, we waited the 15-20 minutes for our boba. However, the next time we came around 10:30 am, we overheard the man telling the group in front of us that it would take 15 minutes to make the boba and so they ordered something else. So then we came back in around 30 minutes and asked if they had boba and he still said 15 more minutes. It was well past 11 am - what is a boba tea place doing without any boba long after they've opened? Very questionable and inconvenient for those trying to grab a drink. read more

I wish I read the reviews before coming here. It's hot and a refreshing boba drink conveniently located in the outlets plaza sounded great. Unfortunately that's not what I got. If you like artificial fruit syrup flavors then this is the place for you. I guess I should've asked if they used fresh fruit. After wasting 7 bucks, I found out they don't. I got the watermelon slush. It's disgusting, tasted like a Jolly Rancher. It's amazing how they overcharge you for ice, water and syrup. The only upside is the boba was decent. read more

It's whatever here... it's normal customer service. Small shop, pretty slow service when it comes to food and pricing wise it's average. When I got here, lines were pretty long and being that in this whole outlet, this was the only boba shop, it's a monopoly in the boba game, tastes for the drinks were decent. Although, I did recall getting a drink from here before and I don't remember it being bad so I decided to give it another shot! Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting considering it's at the outlet and not a stand alone well known tea shop. I got the avocado smoothie, and it wasn't too sweet nor too bland. SERVICE: Fairly quick service. Took a little over 5 minutes, but there weren't that many people there. I was expecting a longer line for such a hot day. The service wasn't extremely good, but it wasn't bad. ATMOSPHERE: It's a really small shop. Probably similar to a spot in the food court. If there was a long line, you'd probably have to stand outside to wait for your drink. DRINK: We got the mango sago. My standard for this drink is the one at I-Tea. That's bomb. This one was a little more expensive than that one and tasted watered down. The flavor was lacking for sure. It was not worth the price. If you're shopping at the outlets and desperately want some boba, maybe you could find a hidden gem on the menu. Just another bad review here. Tea heart is super convenient because it's in such a prime area in the outlets. Because Livermore is scorching hot in the summers, this spot is perfect as it's easily accessible and they are rather quick with serving the drinks. My issues are about how overpriced the drinks are especially with how mediocre they taste. A milk tea with pearls is about 5 dollars, but the pearls are so hard like it wasn't prepared long enough. The milk tea tastes extremely watered down. Because I can't stand the milk tea, my go to is their mango drinks. Still meh, but again I continue to go here for the convenience. read more

This place is horrible. No, really! It's as if they're trolling their customers. As if they're intentionally trying to sabotage their business. I seen the reviews before we stepped in, but we insisted anyways and gave em a shot. Right when we walked in, this young lady already gave the impression that she hated her job. As she took our orders, she's gives zero eye contact, picking her nails. Lol, really?! As she makes our drinks, she's flat footed, taking her sweet time. Here you have another boba shop with very mediocre boba drinks located in a strip mall outlet. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with honey boba and curly fries. The curly fries were well seasoned and tasty. One of the staff told me they do not have any ketchup yet since they just opened on 12/23/17, but they will have some tomorrow. My milk tea was sad and tasted like premixed instant milk tea; boba was chewy and slightly sweet but just as below average as the milk tea it sits in. We order, my kid ordered a flavor she didn't like (and she took a half a sip to find that out.) I ordered an oolong milk tea and it didn't really taste like oolong. In fact, it tasted more like a chocolate milk tea. I know oolong is supposed to have a certain roasted taste to it and this drink just tasted sweet and somewhat like chocolate. Their regular milk tea was a pretty basic, powder-made drink and the boba was chewy and sweet. Not much to write home about. But after reading all the recent negative reviews, it looks like I just got lucky with my drink. Or maybe the regular milk tea is the only thing they do right. I'll admit service wasn't friendly, not even a smile. The lines move slowly and the drinks come out even slower. This is an OK place! Had bobas with family while we were at the outlet last Saturday. The weather compelled us to grab a hot drink that day, as it was a heavy downpour at the time. We were thrilled to find this place, as we desperately needed a hot drink and when there's hot boba, why not grab it right away?! Right?! All four of us ordered for different hot boba for each of us. Be it Taro or Caramel or Mango or Oolong, it was very bland and the only bearable drink was Taro. Service was excellent, no doubts about it. There are two store fronts in the Outlets. One is a walk-in place and the other is like a large kiosk. Both experiences were meh. First experience, I ordered a "special" mango sago drink. Five seconds after paying, my drink was ready which I thought was great and super fast but a bit odd. Then I tasted it and it was warm. I took a look back and I could see stacks of this "special" drink pre-made and sitting on the counter. It's the equivalent of letting fast food burgers sit in the warmer for hours. Second experience, I got sweet potato fries and a mango smoothie. The smoothie had no fresh mango and was more like an Icy with mango syrup mixed in. Utterly disappointed to say the least. You would expect fresh fruit or even frozen fruit when you pay $6. The fries were ok but pricey as well for a small batch. I'm not surprised others have had bad experiences. read more

Ordered a "HOT" honey green milk tea today, I have to say their milk tea tasted really good (that's the 2 stars I gave); but three things I was not satisfied at all. 1) the tea was NOT Hot. 2) they didn't fill the tea up all the way (see the photo I attached). The guava tea was watered down and lacked any form of Guava flavor and had little sweetness. The Thai Milk tea was the same, very watered down and unsweet and lacked that traditional Thai tea flavor. Came back to the San Francisco Premium outlet/Livermore outlets with my mom and sister. My sister was really excited to go to the Kate Spade outlet and makeup stores, and I wanted to check out Adidas, Nike, Gucci, Tory Burch; I was looking for new activewear shoes. We got hungry so we decided to try out the new boba place, Tea Heart. I had no idea they had another location, until I saw their main location when we were about to leave. We ended up at the kiosk location because we passed by it several times. We had to wait a while to order our drinks because there was only one person making the drinks, and the cashier had to help him/her. I didn't mind waiting at all, but I was disappointed when they told us they ran out of boba. I shook this off again since I was really thirsty and ordered their rose lychee drink with 30%/low sweetness($4.50 + boba price). We didn't see anything on their snack/food menu that we wanted so we went to Wetzel's Pretzels instead; I also found their snack/food prices to be pricey. He let us know that the wait time would be about 20 minutes, so my mom and I went to Wetzel's Pretzels while my sister waited for the drinks. There was a line at the pretzel place, so right when we got back to Tea heart, our boba order was called. I was disappointed again because I was only given three grass jelly pieces- two of the pieces were very tiny (seen in pic). The drink was pretty good but I just wish they would have added more toppings into my drink. At the time, I just shook it off again because I was thinking they're probably busy after running out of boba, so they have to save on toppings but after reading the reviews on Yelp, it looks like they really don't add much toppings to the drinks. I also don't know if the main location at the time had boba, but it would have been nice if the employee let me know "hey there's another location that has boba" or "sorry we're out of boba at both of our locations". It's pretty pricey for their boba drinks, especially since I only got three grass jelly pieces ($4.50-4.75). I'll most likely be back to try their boba drinks at their main location, but I think if they run out of boba next time, I'll pass on their drinks. read more
