I love their fruit teas here! So much so that I've never tried anything else. They have such a wide selection and combinations of fruit teas. It is always so refreshing and not too sweet. Every time I'm in the area I pick up a drink for now and a drink for later. The cute corgi bottles come with a lid so it is easy to put in the fridge to save for later. This was one of the first place I had ever ordered delivery from. I have done so a few more times and every time it was great! I have also been here in person a few times. I think I might need to go back to try other things on the menu or something? I am just not sure about my experience compared to other reviews on yelp. I went out of my way to stop by teabrick, honestly because of the corgi cups (lol) but unfortunately they didn't have the corgi cups during my visit. I thinking they have astronaut corgi themed cups at the moment now (Dec 2019). When I went I got two fruit teas that were considered very popular and found both of them to be varying degrees of lackluster. It was nice to have a more fresh tea with real fruit diced up but in terms of flavor it was just not really special or complex, it was kind of a one note taste if that makes sense. I think they have a lot of other things to offer on the menu, namely milk teas and snacks that might be worth trying out. So, if I am already in the area I think I might pop by to see if their other menu items will redeem the experience. read more

This was one of my favorite places to have bobas in this area, but was very disappointed this time. The Bobas were as hard like a rock and got stuck inside my straw several times. I had to suck so hard from the other side of straw. I told the store staff about it, and they offered to make another drink, but I didn't have time to wait and left. Tea Brick is my Old Reliable place to get boba. While their menu switches up every now and then, I always stick to my tried and true go-to, Almond milk tea. It's got that OG boba shop feel, and the fried food smell hits you when you walk in. There's something nostalgic about this place that brings back so many fond memories of my childhood. Mixed bag. This place has fantastic tea, period. However, and this is a serious problem, they aren't cleaning the place like it needs to be. The kitchen area has weeks worth of dust and fryer build up layered on the walls near the ceiling. I love the drinks here but the cleanliness is lacking. Came here after dinner at Mama Lu's next door. Convenient! And you don't even need to move your car. What really enticed me was their brick toast, since I love brick toast but don't really know where to get it. Their large drink menu also seemed welcoming. The interior decor is a little odd since it's pretty dark inside with lots of brick everywhere. Lots of loud high school kids "studying". I got The Christine for my drink, and my friend got their house tea brick milk tea. The Christine was fruity with fruit chunks, just like how I like it, but it was a little too much tea-y flavor for me. I suppose I wanted it to be a little sweeter. My friend's house milk tea was good, boba was okay. Apparently this one is very caffeinated. The cups are also these cute plastic reusable cups with seasonal designs on them! It's very cute and I wonder if they have new designs with each season since ours said "fall 2017" on them. That's really smart on their end since it can turn into a collectible item! We also ordered the condensed milk and caramel brick toast. It took a while for it to come out, but overall it was pretty good. Review for 8/7/17 around 9:30pm: Decided to get some drinks after dinner at Mama Lu's, was recommended by a friend being told that the drinks here were pretty good, & its true the drinks here are quite tasty. Ordered the 'Cookies & creme milkshake', a solid drink & the flavor was perfect. One thing Tea Brick needs to improve on is putting the right staff member to handle the Cashier position, on my visit tonight there seems to have 3 ppl working the shop, 2 guys & 1 girl. One of them stood out a lot & it wasn't for his stellar service, but the lack of it. The taller guy in charge of taking orders and taking in the money totally failed in all aspects of customer service. He was monotone, no personality, didn't even greet the customers, most importantly NO SMILE AT ALL!! This man looked as if i owed him money from the get-go. When i got to the register & it was my turn to order, he gave off the persona of "what do you want, next." As we all know, all drink places in the surrounding area are getting really competitive, what really puts your business above the rest is your products selling point and your customer service, Tea Brick does a great job on delivering their products by putting their drinks in these nicely designed signature cylinder bottles but the service tonight was just totally unacceptable for someone that is holding a job in the retail industry. Been coming here for a while as an alternative to other places that seem more old-school/legit Chinese tea parlors but Tea Brick is a pretty decent place that serves pretty much everything. The drinks IMO are sweeter than other places so I usually get it even more less sweet than other places. I ended up with a rose green tea with aloe today. The price came out to a bit over $5 which is a bit high but it comes with a "nice" plastic bottle that you can reuse. Definitely feel it's just a ploy to charge more because I feel that most people are not really reusing these bottles for water bottles. Besides that though, the tea was pretty good. Didn't get much of a rose flavor but at least was able to taste the tea. The aloe was also refreshing on such a hot day. A note to you is that the Check-In offer is no longer valid...Also parking is limited on the streets and underground. You will be able to find something if you go two floors down but that just feels like such a hassle and annoyance. Reception for most cell carriers is pretty bad in Monterey park so if you are staying for a while, remember to log onto their wifi. Password is on receipt. It's not my default boba place but they do over a better than average boba drinking experience. read more

Tea brick offers brick toast and boba in cute containers. The brick toast is ~$8 while the boba are $6. The last time we were here before covid and remember the boba being a bit watery and nothing too special, but the brick toast was very good. This time, there is only take out and the quality seems not as good. The fruits were not very sweet and hard. The toast itself was also mediocre and seemed a bit too hard. Maybe it's due to the covid restrictions, but I feel that their quality has gone down and there are better places for both boba and brick toast. read more

I was waiting for my food order and I decided to go to get some boba while I waited and I ended up here because I heard that every drink came with a cute little cup with Corgis. I was willing to pay about $6 a drink bc of the cute little reusable cup but when I ordered and asked if my drink would come with that cup, I was told they were out. I was very disappointed. One, because I think they could have been more honest about being out of the cups, which is their selling point and what makes them different from any other boba place. I understand restaurants run out of supplies but at least say it upfront and or at least offer a 5-10% discount for this loss of novelty. Two, I ordered my drink with boba and when I got it, it didn't have any and my friends and I were the only people in the restaurant so it's not like they were rushed. I asked if I could have the boba and I was told the drink didn't come with boba and I said, "but I paid extra for it" and then at that point I got some boba. I get their strawberry milk and it's really good, but it does have a coconut hint to it. The wait for boba can take up to 15-20 min sometimes. Conceptually, Tea Brick definitely has its own uniqueness on the creation of their drinks. They even decorate their bottles too depending on a certain event or holiday which I think is pretty cute! For mine, during the summer, they made their bottles corgi themed. And I freakin love corgis too! I've always wanted to try this place out since people were telling me that their fruit teas were pretty good in comparison to their milk tea options. So I gave it a shot and got a fruit tea. And lemme just say I am not a fruit tea person in general lol. I got The Christine, and I was actually quite impressed by how refreshing it tasted! They used actual fresh strawberries and mangoes as their toppings too. But in terms of taste though, I wasn't that big of a fan, but the freshness of their drink hit the spot so I'll give em that. The bottles that they give you are essentially reusable bottles, so you can just wash and keep them at home if you want to. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. They were quite busy, as per usual. I got the Christine as usual, with boba at less sweet and less ice. They had run out of the reusable cups that day. I was disappointed in the boba as the middle was hard as if it was old boba. I still enjoyed the refreshing drink and fruit bits. It was a nice place with wifi and tables to do some light studying, though the tables were quite sticky. Today was my first time at tea brick and I will definitely be coming back! I had the Vanessa w boba and my uncle had the Christine. Both were delicious, fruity and with regular sweetness still not overly sweet. The honey boba adds a nice sweet touch to it. I also got a rose green tea with 25% sweetness - a bit bitter bc the tea was strong which was great and refreshing. Big plus: the cutest reusable cups ever! I will definitely be collecting future designs. On the pricier side for boba ($6 for fruit tea and boba), but I like that it's less wasteful and tastes fresh. Parking is tight - even at 5 pm on a Tuesday. You order at the first window and then they have a little window covered with a curtain where you pick up your order.
