Ok... I will fully admit that their cups are a marketing gimmick... and a highly effective one at that. I was a serial boba drinker when they had the adorable workout koalas. But honestly... cute reusable workout koalas... that fit in the cup holder of my spin bike?!?! How could I not? Plus... they are super heat sensitive so it only makes sense that I get multiple.... Right??? Right?!? My only complaint was the old lids did not have a hole for the straw but these newer cups seem to have fixed that shortcoming! But they aren't just 100% gimmick. They actually use real fruit and their boba is legit. They also have really awesome flavor combinations that you cannot find elsewhere. I like that it is lighter like a tea but still fruity. If Asia had an unblended Jamba Juice tea house it would be this... but they are better.. because of cuteness.... My favorite is the lycheeberry and they generally do a good job of cutting the lychee jelly and the strawberries down to a consistent slurp able size. My first time at this location which used to be the honey boba location. You get more value for your money because the drinks come in large recyclable plastic tumblers with a cute corgi design. I ordered a jasmine green tea with basil seeds. It was very smoothe, high quality and not bitter some like places especially since I opted for zero sugar in my tea. You can customize your sugar and ice level. I can't wait to collect more plastic tumblers which you can reuse and store drinks and water inside. The bottle lids don't have a hole for the boba straw so you have to untwist the caps to use your straw. Just FYI. Parking is free. This is my go-to for fruit teas! My favorite is the Christine Tea with strawberry, mango and passion fruit flavor green tea with yummy strawberry and mango bits. It comes with a cute reusable cup too. The only disappointment is that if you want boba, you have to pay extra, and they give you very little. So if you're craving a regular tea (not fruit tea) with boba, I would recommend going to half and half. They give a lot of boba, maybe 4x more than Tea Brick, but they don't have yummy fruit bits! TIP: It's right next to Arcadia High school, so if you're visiting on a weekday, avoid going between 3p-4p when the students get out, or you'll have to wait 30+ minutes for your order. read more

This venue had an electronic kiosk which you can use to tailor the sweetness, ice level, and toppings like boba. I ordered a coffee milk tea which was rich and creamy but they also had a lot of tea and fruit options. Stopped by quickly to grab a drink and snack on Sunday afternoon. I got the Yummee Peachee Lychee Drink and upgrade the cup to "Beauty" which is a reusable plastic container with decals on it. I was a little disappointed in the upgrade drink container - as it says 2021 baby shower and it's a girl. I think it was someone's leftover baby shower gift, which is a disappointment, because why would I want one? The drink itself was very good though, even thought they ran out of boba. 3 stars for taste, 4 stars for service and ambiance. No cute bottles on my visit 1/15/22 :( I'm no stranger to Tea Brick. I've been going to the one in Monterey Park for years, and it's a go to spot for drinks that are made consistently and usually not too long of a wait. I decided to give this location a shot, but I was disappointed by the taste. This spot used to be another boba place, but I hadn't returned since it became Tea Brick. There was a lot of people sitting inside and some people loitering outside, but our drinks were made quickly. I was pretty let down to see that they're using regular cups right now, not the cute screw on top ones they're so famous for! Bummer. While the drink came with lots of toppings, the tea was bitter. I ordered regular sweet, and usually Tea Brick has their drinks made almost TOO sweet, but I felt like the green tea must've been oversteeped because it left a bitter aftertaste :( Pros: Fast, friendly service Cons: Bitter taste Does not come in the cute screw top bottle Final verdict: Would not go out of my way to come here. Called in to see if the koala cups were being offered again, and luckily they were! I came in ASAP and ordered The Christine, sadly it was pretty mediocre at best. The tea seemed to be over-steeped, so it was quite bitter. On that note, the sweetness level was a bit lacking, most likely because the bitterness was overpowering and it was heavily watered down with ice. I usually do not mind heavy ice, but the drink was already so underwhelming and unflavored that the ice did not help in the slightest. The service was quite odd in my opinion. I waited around 30 seconds (although it felt like minutes) for the cashier to ask for my order, but he just stared at me while I stared back very confused. He didn't even show me the menu or recommend any of the top 10 drinks. I ended up breaking the silence asking if I could order now, and the rest of the transaction felt like I was a customer taking on the role of the cashier as well. Looking back, I don't think he even said a word to me, no questions about sweetness level, ice level, or how long the wait would be. Not even sure if Tea Brick does adjustment levels because of the lack of communication. I also noticed a Five Star Rewards tablet there, but was too nervous to ask and of course the cashier failed to introduce/explain how it worked. Ending on a positive note, my drink was prepared very fast! I definitely only come to Tea Brick for the cute cups, other than that I do not see myself coming back. Love the reusable bottles for the drinks. They're super cute! But may add an additional cost to each purchase. I'd like if the straw fit inside when you needed to close the bottle though. The Christine Tea - Strawberry, Mango & passion fruit tea with fresh Mango & Strawberry chunks - fresh brewed green tea base and very refreshing! I really like this drink on a warm afternoon. The tea had a great strong flavor! I don't like watered down drinks. Popcorn Chicken - these huge chicken pieces are boxed up instead of in the usual pastry bag. I got the spice on the side and it wasn't crazy hot (kinda like the Japanese togarashi) instead of the Taiwanese fried basil flavor. It tasted good. But those nuggets are huge! Each piece was about 3/4 inch cubes! Service was quick & friendly. They adheard to the Covid restrictions, had the dividers up and had masks on. Social distancing stickers were also used. The decor is pretty much the same, not too many changes from Honeyboba. I love the big huge windows looking out to the parking & streets. I got to catch some rays while waiting for my order. I've only been to their Monterey Park location, so it was my first time trying this location. We ordered The Christine and Love at First Sight. The Christine: the tea was bitter even after mixing, like it was seeped for too long. The fruits in it were also all sour, but I saved the drink overnight and they were sweeter the next day. Love at First Sight: similar experience, but the drink was overall refreshing so I'd recommend it. Overall, it's a hit or miss and a bit pricey for what you get. Even though the service was a bit on the slow side, kudos to the employee working front-of-house; he was the only one doing inventory, taking orders, and making drinks! Today is the 3rd time I ordered from Tea Brick, I loved the Hokkaido Matchamisu Milk Tea, it was truly delicious, I always ordered w/ pudding and grass jelly. I also ordered the Brown Sugar Snow Milk w/ boba for my son. Both drinks came with these cute plastic containers, nice design. My previous 2 ordered came with different container designs. Great and awesome service!! The cool workers there are actually really nice, very friendly, and helpful!! My most favorite drink flavor would have to be the delicious Matchamisu Milk Tea because it's not too sweet at all and it comes with a cute plastic bottle design with a lid on the top! All of their drinks are pricey but you get what you pay for because of the many drink flavors, the plastic bottle designs, and the service itself. The whole entire area inside there is also really clean and very spacious! I will come back here and buy more of their different drink flavors again when I'm in Arcadia! Our first time order here. We love to support our local community and businesses in the area. We usually order at other locations. Today, we were very please the order for pick up was fast and on time. Unfortunately (1 of 3 )drinks got a plastic strip at the bottom. My husband was finishing up his drink and was surprisingly found something stuck at the end or bottom of the straw/ cup. And when he pull it off, noticed it wasn't even part of the fruits or the jelly from the drink. It was a splash ic strip that we thought was straw bag but not the same. We felt disgusted. This doesn't look any healthy and safe since we all trying to stay safe due to this Covid-19 and precaution. Now this... Writing reviews for boba shops are very bias and can vary between everyone. Honestly, I've never had a bad drink when ordering at Tea Brick. Their drinks are always amazing, they always come in a cute cup, and the ordering process is easy. We placed an order for 7 drinks yesterday around 5pm, picked up in 20-25 minutes. The only thing I didn't like was the marker they used on the cap or the cup that smears and makes ugly markings/smudges on the bag. Currently their design is KOALA CUPS!
