Nice selection of tea, and cute teapot sets

Stopped in here on whim and so glad we did. The store is clean and organized, and the salesperson was friendly and helpful. They have jars set up so you can smell the different teas, and I appreciate the option to buy sample sizes to discover which flavors we like best.

The person helping me was welcoming and invited me to smell the leaves of so many different teas. There's a huge variety of uncaffeinated, green, and black teas as well as Yerba mate teas. There's also a handy tea menu to explain the components and flavor profiles of each tea. I was able to sample the scents of so many different teas and ended up choosing one black and one green tea. Swami Power (black) is so fruity and bright. I love this tea so much. The Lavender Fields (green) has a strong floral flavor. I definitely would get swami power again once I run out, but would pass on the Lavender Fields next time-- it's still good though! The teas cost a pretty penny, but I think it's worth it.

The hostess was really friendly and helpful. She was able to put together a collection of teas to give out as a gift and made sure to customize it. They also have a great collection of tea stuff and got myself a cute llama tea infuser. One of the things I have found helpful is that they also added a magnet that reminds you about the different teas and their brewing times. Wished I lived closer so that I can visit more often. Would go again when I am in the area.

Very clean business, smells of teas are divine. The hostess/cashier was very friendly and helpful. Was patient and not very pushy or sales driven, which I liked. A lot of great tea stuff, tried two different batches and got a tea infuser

March 2023 we spent our spring break in San Diego. While spending a day wondering around Little Italy we happened upon this tea shop and I am a HUGE Chai Tea fan and have been ordering loose leaf tea from David's Tea for years. The shop was great, the service was perfect and after lots of tea smelling, I opted for the Yellow Brick Road and it has quickly become one of my favorite chais. I live on the other aide of the country and still choose to order tea from Tea Bazaar because the blends and quality are worth it.

Nice and good location, good for Hrabal tea, flavored tea.not English black tea, I was looking for Black loose leaf tea.

I got a Collection as a gift from a colleague, and while intrigued, I was not that excited. Boy was I wrong! The Orange Creamsicle in particular was literally the best tea I've ever had. As a result, my cup was empty almost instantly. So that was pretty upsetting.

Easily the best smelling store in Little Italy, huge selection of teas to smell and super cute tea steepers

Ask the Community - Tea Bazaar

Do you by chance give samples of the CBD tea before I decide to invest? I've ordered before and know I like your regular teas.

Hi Rebecca! At our storefront we have a sample of the CBD teas to smell, but at the moment we do not have any smaller quantities to take home for the CBD.

Parking is a bit of a pain bit of you are in waking distance or come early enough it shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes they run out of items if you come later in the day. They have a special Bagel of the month, so make sure to ask what it is. They have several bagel flavors, and different flavor cream cheese spreads. I love the habanero bagel, it's one of my favorites, but just be warned it is very hot. Definitely don't eat it without something cold to drink. They also have a breakfast sandwich called the San Diego which is a favorite of several people I know. You chose the bagel you want it with and they add fried eggs, bacon, cheese and aioli. I highly reccomend it. I've not had a lot of their deinis, but i did order the cinna-bee which has honey, cinnamon, espresso and milk. I thought it was good and would order it again. Definitely check them out and try some of their bagels, or perhaps one of their sandwiches.

I tried several coffee shops along Seaport Village--some stood out for creative flavors, others for strong espresso--but Spill the Beans nailed the perfect balance every single time. We went back multiple times, and the consistency was impressive. My go-to was an iced "Basic Sitch" with oat milk, while my husband loved the warm "Cinna-bee." Both were incredible. The espresso quality was top-tier, and the drinks were made quickly without sacrificing flavor. Our only regret? Discovering this place halfway through the trip. Had we found it sooner, we would've been there every single day. This review is solely based on the coffee, as we didn't get a chance to try their breakfast sandwiches, though the options looked appetizing. This particular location isn't a fully built-out coffee shop, but it's perfect for grabbing your drink and taking a stroll along Seaport Village or, enjoying it at a nearby bench or outdoor seating area.

The baristas were very friendly with helping me choose my drink and made sure my first experience was the best it could have been. I tried both the banana matcha and hot chocolate marshmallow drink. Both were fantastic, but I liked the matcha more personally. It had a clean aftertaste, with mellow notes of sweetness and creaminess. One of the better matcha I have had in the city for sure. Definitely worth a try if you are nearby.

The sweetness of drink over powers the matcha, the matcha tasted very watery and grassy. Overall I wished the drink was more smooth, I did get oat milk and I tasted that more than the overall drink. I would say maybe switching the oat milk for a more smooth consistency like chobani oat. Maybe lowering the sweetness on the banana pudding would provide a balance with the flavors. The atmosphere of the place was nice but dining area was tight and there wasn't much walking space. Overall, I was a little disappointed for the price since it wasn't what I anticipated.

Finally got to try this cute Japanese cafe we saw on TikTok, and it did not disappoint!…read more Service: [5/5] The two girls who helped us were so sweet and made the whole experience. We were seated at the bar, which ended up being such a vibe--we got to chat with the girl behind the bar and watch her make lattes and desserts right in front of us. That kind of interaction really sets this place apart. Price: [4.5/5] It's on the pricier side, but honestly it feels fair given the quality of food you're getting. You can taste where your money is going. Food/Drinks: [5/5] Matcha Latte -- We shared one, extra sweet at my request, and it was perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. Chef Soichi's Karaage -- We had this as an appetizer and my boyfriend made a point to say this is the closest he's had to traditional Japanese karaage. High praise from someone who's passionate about his Japanese culture. Hayashi Omurice -- This is their most popular dish and it's easy to see why. The demi-glaze has a really unique flavor that ties the whole dish together beautifully. This was my pick and I'd order it again without hesitation. Guratan -- My boyfriend's order, and it was incredibly creamy and delicious. We were both too stuffed for dessert by the end, which says a lot about the portion sizes. Ambience: [5/5] The restaurant is small, but honestly that's part of what makes it so charming. Pink everywhere with wooden accents and cherry blossoms throughout (very fitting)--it's cozy, homey, and just really well put together. The intimate size adds to the appeal rather than taking away from it. Overall Experience: [5/5] Hatsuzakara was such a wonderful first experience. Yes, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated arriving at 7:30 on a Friday night but for a waitlist-only spot this small, that's actually a pretty reasonable wait by San Diego standards. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff more than made up for it. Already looking forward to coming back to try the curry and work through their dessert menu.

I feel like everything looked really good, so it was hard to decide what to order. The dishes have small portion size despite the price. I think this kinda helps in that you have room to eat dessert! The brown sugar Okinawa tea was good but the after taste of the sugar was not good. They kept the tea pot warm, and they served oat milk on the side. Karaage had too much chicken skin for my preference. Guratan was penne pasta and not macaroni as specified in the menu. Yakisoba could have used more chicken. Omurice had the more flavor and the egg was really good. I want to try naporitan next time because of the tomato based sauce. Of the desserts I tried, the parfait was most enjoyable because of the fruit with ice cream. The mushi pudding was good; it was the thick and "hard" type of flan. I want to try kakigori next time because I saw their shaved ice machine was legit. Parking - free street parking only. Be prepared to walk up/downhill. Credit card/apple pay accepted Bathroom is only one room in the back. THE SEAT IS WARM. This was a nice gem to find in this part of town.
