If you're looking for the one of the beat boba tea in Chicago, this little gem is worth the trip. It's a small, cozy boba shop with a welcoming atmosphere--perfect for grabbing a drink to-go or enjoying at one of the few available seats. While space is limited, the intimate vibe adds to its charm. The menu has a wide range of milk teas, fruit teas, and specialty drinks, all customizable for sweetness and ice levels. The tapioca pearls are consistently fresh and perfectly chewy--never mushy or hard. My go-to is the classic brown sugar milk tea, but their matcha latte and taro milk tea are also must-tries. Service is fast and friendly, and prices are reasonable for the quality. If you're searching Yelp for fresh boba tea near me or want a bubble tea shop in Chicago that delivers on both taste and service, this place should be at the top of your list. Pro tip: It's not a big hangout spot, so come early if you want a seat, or order ahead for pickup.

Perfectly located! The staff was super bubbly upon walking in so that was nice. It's a small location so not too much sitting area but I recommend this spot. The drink i got was super food and refreshing.

Super cute boba shop in river north! My friends and I were looking to kill some time before dinner and stopped by. I got the grapefruit and yogurt drink which was super creamy and tangy. I was kinda worried that flavor combo would curdle or something strange but it ended up actually being really nice and refreshing! There isn't much seating inside so it's more of a grab and go places. There's also self serve kiosks for quick service as well.

TBaar located in Chicago is one of the best boba shops I have ever been in. The inside: For starters, the interior was super cute, very city like, and had nice lofi music. It is small, only about four customers can really be inside. But the design of the menu was very clear and simple, it was very clean, and had nice decor. From what I could see, the counters, the machinery, and the glass of all windows were kept clean on an hourly basis. The service: The nice gentleman who took my order was very sweet and kind. He definitely loved his job, and loved seeing smiles on his customers faces. The customer connect is very strong at this establishment. He read back my order to make sure that it was correct, and knew exactly how to answer my questions about their menu. He was very happy to be there. The boba tea: I ordered a brown sugar bubble tea with milk foam, and it was so amazing. It was visually stunning, which I complimented him on, and tasted like no other. This is definitely one of the best boba shops I have ever been into. And I go to a lot of boba shops! Overall opinion: I definitely appreciate the modern aesthetic that this shop gives. It's very welcoming, very cute, and has amazing service. The beverage I had was outstanding, and I can bet the other drinks are too. Definitely give this place your money!!

Was in the area and ordered a black milk bubble tea half sweet and it was perfect. Different taste than other places, but in a good way! Quick, friendly service, too. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Steamed Pork Bao Bun

Stopped by for a Lychee Lime Green Tea which was a nice refreshing drink. This is definitely a grab-and-go location, as it's small with very limited seating. I ordered the Steamed Pork Bao Bun as a snack, which I didn't realize was actually from Kyuramen (I believe it's connected to TBaar). The pork belly was fatty and the special sauce was tasty.

Fairly priced boba in River North! I have tried their Thai Tea (at Kyuramen) and now have tried their Green Milk Tea! Very good quality and not overly sweet! One thing I wish they had was more seating. There are only 3 seats but they are probably more for to-go orders anyway. Great place to get boba downtown!

The service was the cherry on top. Special thank you to the sweetest gentlemen, Louis, who made us feel warm and welcome. We can't wait to come back!

The food was really excellent, as was the service. But it was ridiculously priced. The reuben sandwich was $28. It was a great sandwich, very lean, but you could get a sandwich as good for half the cost elsewhere. They only have a couple of kid's items, but my friend requested buttered noodles for her kid rather than the cheesy noodles. I got the hibiscus drink and lavender lemonade, both non-alcoholic, and they were very good. My little one especially liked the hibiscus. And we ordered the appetizer of whipped ricotta and honey; my daughter liked this more than anything else we ordered. We didn't have dessert at the restaurant, but ordered to go. The pot of gold was really good. There were little "gold nuggets" on it and that was my daughter's favorite part; good thing since I didn't realize it had a layer with Bailey's in it. It was very rich, and the cauldron was really thick chocolate (and actually was a struggle to get into, a bit!). The restaurant is small but it didn't feel crowded. We never felt rushed or unwelcome, and we were there for a couple hours (longer than I realized; it took an unusually long time to make two reuben sandwiches). Their pastries are really nice but somewhat expensive, like the rest of the menu. It was a nice, sophisticated experience.
