He was especially great managing the transfer from the Honolulu quarantine station over to Aloha Air Cargo and on to Maui. That flight from the mainland ended up delayed too, and Lenny still got Jagger to Aloha Air Cargo extremely fast. That's when I looked for a more stable group of people and Aloha Pro was recommended. They are a couple who used to run a restaurant and then have been in this business for many years. OMGoodness if my dogs didn't immediately fall in love with husband Frank! I could tell when I came home that he had walked them that day because they were extra excited when they greeted me at the door. Seems they would tell me stories about Uncle Frank walking them, and sadly I didn't understand, but their excitement was definitely noticeable. And when I'd go on a trip before Aloha Pro, they used to stop eating for a few days until they had to eat, but when Uncle Frank watched them, no such problem. If you dont know, it takes a lot of work to ship a pet. You have to book a flight, get the right size crate, make sure they have their vaccines, a certificate for them to fly out which expires after 10 days so you have to make sure the certificate is going to be valid when you take a flight out. With little time for me to figure out(2wks), they helped me with everything... they did everything! With me having to still go to work daily, pack up the house, figure out shipping my car,this has saved me. Not one bit of stress. They have a company called Tail Movers and Jessica arranged and did EVERYTHING for me. She was amazing. It was such an amazing experience. My dog had to fly into LA and taxi drove her to Las Vegas. This service was worth the money. They constantly communicate with you, text and send you pictures. Thank you Tails of Hawaii and Tail Movers for such amazing service. She's not crate-trained and is so used to being with me everywhere, so the thought of putting her on a flight without me was incredibly stressful. From the very beginning, Island Pet Movers (IPM) made the entire process so much easier. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire move. The packet they provide is extremely detailed and clearly explains what to expect, what your responsibilities are, and what IPM handles for you. They also use an app for communication, which kept everything organized and easy to follow. They're very transparent about keeping their customer service team small to help keep costs down, but even with that, I never felt like communication was lacking. I had to fly to California a week before Kaila, so she stayed with a friend in Hawaii until it was time for her to travel. IPM picked her up directly from my friend's house, and from the moment she was picked up until she was checked in at the airport, our driver, Victoria, kept us updated with pictures and detailed messages about what was happening. Those updates made a HUGE difference and really helped ease my anxiety. I also purchased Kaila's travel crate directly through IPM. It may have cost a little more than some other options, but for me, it was worth it knowing I was getting the correct crate and size for her and that everything was being done properly. Thankfully, the entire process went incredibly smoothly, and Kaila arrived safely in San Francisco, happy and healthy. Moving a pet, especially when they're essentially family, can be incredibly stressful. Island Pet Movers took a situation I was very worried about and made it feel manageable from start to finish. Just follow the instuctions on their site. https://www.united.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/petsafe.aspx Since your pets will be going as cargo you have to call ahead of time to schedule a flight plan, get an airway bill, for your pet. For those that are military and the travel office schedules you with American Airlines, you will probably know that they (AA) accepts animals on a first come fist serve basis. That is wack. Imagine arriving at the airport and your pet cannot get on the plane due to it being overcrowded with other pets. Screw that. Go with United and you are guaranteed a ticket for your pet. You can choose to fly on the same flight path or take another flight. Your call. I personally prefer to fly on the same plane. Make sure you follow any/all local government rules for health certificates and Kennel requirements. The cargo team here processed my Stella and paperwork with ease. They will weigh the dog and kennel together and from there provide you a final cost. Not really much to it if you have all the required documents; so please come prepared. Hint, make sure your kennel is large enough for your dog. Overall I highly recommend the United Petsafe program.

I walked in and…read morechecked in and she seemed a little overwhelmed/wanting to get the day done with (we were her last client of the day). She asked me what kind of cut I wanted and I let her know I wanted a mohawk style cut and she said she didn't understand what I wanted, I then tried to show her using my dogs body and she was still confused and started getting an attitude. She told me to pick a blade size before she could proceed and I tried telling her that I wanted to first show her what I meant and she ignored it and walked away and turned off the music and then started to walk back. My mom had been with me and told me I should leave and not allow her to cut my dog. She must've overheard my mom say this because her attitude immediately shifted and she became a little bubbly and kinder. I let her know I didn't want the mohawk anymore because it seemed too difficult to communicate with her what I wanted and I would just do a trim all over and to round his face out. She then let me know typically only poodles do that cut and asked if I was sure I wanted that cut (completely unnecessary comment). I let her know he has been getting groomed and that is his typical cut when we don't do something fun/funky. I only stayed because my dog was in need of a haircut and I was already there. I really hoped the haircut would come out great since it was the same cut on his entire body and then just face shaping and she made it a point to let me know she's been a stylist for 30 years. I had to fix up the parts that were extremely uneven and I fixed behind his ears which were not groomed in the same places. She also let me know when I picked him up how much of a good boy he was for her so I'm even more confused by the uneven cutting. I will definitely not be returning and I am so disappointed by her service because the guy (Chris) who booked my appointment was so friendly and helpful.
